We take our dog to Pumpkin Hill, which is 45 minutes away from our home. We make this drive because the care and the staff there are wonderful! They are very through, patient in explaining things and answering our questions. We never feel rushed and trust that Dr.Mathis will advise what is best for our dog. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent vet to bring their pet.

The best vet we've ever had for our dogs and cats. Their staff are incredibly supportive, wonderful people too. My pets love going there every single time! They marry both holistic medicine and Western medicine. More than once, they have saved my dogs' lives. They give my babies unique healthcare that I've yet to find anywhere else and it's affordable, which is so hard to find now.We adore them and have come here for years. ! Today, they did a chiropractic adjustment for my 5 year old dog. His pain mobility improved within minutes. Thank you Dr Mathis and staff!

BEST VET EVER!!! My husband and I just moved back from Ohio and our one dog had issues with bladder control ever since we had him fixed in February 2023… we took him to 4 vets that couldn’t give us any answers… we took our Ryder to Dr. Mathes in August of this year and after ONE chiropractic visit the accidents stopped! He told us they messed his back up when he was under the anesthesia, and Dr. Homrig and Dr. Mathes have been working with our other dog who has been having gastrointestinal issues and we have seen a huge difference in our boys health!!! We will forever be bringing our furry friends to Pumpkin Hill!!!

It was a long drive for me because it's out in Byron. The staff was friendly. They scheduled me at one time but they allowed me in early. That's always a nice surprise. Doctor was thorough. Gave my dog chiropractic care. He does not do manual manipulation. He was very helpful to me.

I’ve worked in the dog world for 7 years now.I’ve been in contact with most vets in the area, I’ve heard stories from clients of the good, bad, and everything in between.I’ve learned not all veterinarians are created equal.When I started coming to Pumpkin Hill Veterinary Clinic. A few years ago I fell in love with their holistic approach of treating the animal as a whole. I loved their laid back environment and their staff always made me feel comfortable.. add in the incredible prices- I felt confident driving almost an hour for their services.When molly fell sick last week this solidified my choices of coming here, and always recommending them.The BIGGEST thank you to:❤️The receptionsts who got me in immediately when I called suspecting her being sick.. then continued to call with care each time, giving me time to ask questions and relaying love to Molly for me (even letting me talk to her on the phone )🧡The vet assistances who took us in, and took care of my girl like she was their own.💛The techs who helped throughout this adventure and who taught me how to give fluids, injections, and educate me on the new pharmacy Molly will need.💖Dr. Homrig & Dr. Mathes...The Miracle Workers.Where do I begin to thank the two people responsible for my girl being here? The moment Molly fell sick Dr. Homrig jumped into action finding the culprit and making incredible risky choices with me regarding Mollys care. Calling me multiple times a day to give me updates, her and Dr. Mathes went above and beyond.. checking up on Molly multiple times throughout the night and even rushing her into an emergency surgery, on a Sunday at 8pm- much past his bed time 😉 & most definitely not on their surgery day…This selfless act and evident expertise during this incredibly complicated surgery (with all odd stacked against her).. saved my girl.I am in awe at the obvious calling they have in their profession.Dr. Homrig urged me to come in, after hours, to spend time with Molly. Often working around my crazy schedule and always with a smile on her face and kindness in her voice. Working hand in hand together I found comfort in knowing she has our best interest at heart- at all times. She eased my mind, dried my tears & gave me the most reassuring hugs.Dr. Homrig & Dr. Mathes are a special type of veterinarian. One in a million (or two in a million I suppose 😂)Upon releasing Molly today the staff showered her in love, letting her know how much she’ll be missed but how happy they are to see her going home. We took a photo, exchanged hugs & was asked if I could call THEM to give them updates on her daily as Dr. Homrig will be wondering Wow.Grateful. So grateful.The look on Logan’s face when he was surprised with his best friend of 11 years, is worth it all. Dr Homring and Amythest (? Vet tech) are amazing. Very caring and knowledgeable. They helped heal my puppy from coccidia, hookworm and roundworm. They got me in right away when I had concerns. They took the time to ensure that Penny got the right medications and that I was educated on these issues as well. I’ll definitely be bringing my other dog here!

Dr Mathis looked at a stool sample of my goats without them even being patients and determined they needed to be seen so they could be treated. No other vet in the area would do anything for me. Pumpkin Hill undoubtedly saved my goats lives. Without treatment and recommendation of care, they would have surely declined and died. Thank you Dr Mathis and staff!

Updated rating. I used to love this Vet, but I have left as it simply has gone downhill the last few years. I had a sick kitten I found in the round, brought her in 2 times for meds, and didn't work. Called a third time, and they literally told me to "just wait another month, it'll go away on its own probably." Went to Perry Vet, and they had her better in 2 weeks! There use to be a guy vet who I always got. Now, there only seems to be a shorter lady vet that doesn't know a damn thing.

I already loved these guys for how passionate and genuine they are with the care of both of my cats and dog. But I was blown away today (when I needed to bring my one year old nephew with me) with how patient, caring, and accommodating the entire staff was to keep the toddler entertained and keep my dog comfortable through his exam and even for the checkout process. Most professional and loving staff I've ever encountered anywhere! I'm so glad I switched to them!

This girl called vet after vet trying to find someone who could help her puppy. Not one place would take him even tho she stressed that he isn’t eating, he’s losing weight, I think he ate my shoe..., Every place said they couldn’t take him, they were to busy. Finally my niece Anna told her to call Pumpkin Hill Clinic, so she did. They took Jack in on Saturday gave him some meds and thought it was best to keep him overnight. Well they ended up keeping him 2 nights and called Samantha THREE times to give her updates on how he was doing. Samantha and Spencer were able to pick him up today and he is back to his crazy puppy self.I can’t thank this Vet enough, he saved this little guy and prevent the unthinkable.If your happy with your Vet that’s great, but if your looking for a new one check these guys out first. They have the compassion and love it takes to care for your fur babies!!

What an amazing place. The vets here are super friendly and very caring. The one Doctor actually sat on the floor with my boy while he was getting his check up. They do not push medicine and try using more natural methods first. 5 stars love this place for all my fur babies

I had taken my 15 yr old Yorkie, Tessie, in to talk with Dr Homrig about some things that were going on with her. Knowing deep down in my heart that I wasn't going to bring her back home with me. Dr Homrig and Kayla (one of the techs) were both wonderful with Tessie and me. I can't say enough about the two of them and the rest of the staff. Both doctors here are VERY COMPASSIONATE!

I have been with them for over 25 years and they are the only once I trust with my 4 legged kids . They have compassion for the animals and owners. Cannot say enough good things about this vet! Our 7 year old Boxer was having several balance/head tilt issues. Our old vet didnt take any action and wanted to do imaging. First visit at Pumpkin Hill and we found a new treatment path. No lie - we had a 90 percent improvement with 24 hours for our guy. He loved the vet, was relaxed, and we had a great vibe.
