I do not know how it's taken me 11 years to write a review and I also can't believe it's been 11 years that we've been bringing our dog here. We got a rescue when he was 4 months old. We crate trained and he never had an accident. We leash trained and he was a good, happy pup until two unleashed dogs attacked him near our home. After that he became defensive and nervous. We took him to classes but we couldn't break him out of it. So, we fenced in our yard to let him run and exercise, but feel safe. Anyway, taking him to the vet was unsettling to say the least. We knew everyone was there to help, but our dog has nipped and has the highest anxiety. This animal hospital is SO unbelievably accommodating, have never made us feel wrong or insecure with our dog in their care, have always supported us, and all around provide the best most outstanding service to our pup. I would give this clinic 100/10 if I could. HIGHLY recommend!

I started going to this vet because the city animal shelter offered a lifetime 20% discount. How could I resist? But I would go here anyway. The doctors and staff are great and I've never had an issue. Infrequently, there may be a longer wait that usual but it's manageable. Love McClelland and love its history as well!

McClelland is by far one of the best vet offices around! Dr Carrig always takes the best care of our fur babies, living in colden there is plenty of places we could go to closer but I refuse to leave mcclelland!! They give us such peace of mind knowing our babies are in the best hands there!

I love bringing my pets here. The staff is friendly and they do a thorough job. Prices are fair compared to the area and it isn’t too hard to get an appointment. They offer parking on the side which fills up quickly

Very caring staff in every area from those at the desk checking you in, vet techs, the doctors etc everybody is just amazing. It's a nice location ample parking, clean up to date waiting room, and they treat you like you are somebody. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new veterinarian.

So incredibly grateful for Dr. Carrig. My senior pittie girl needed a splenectomy after a mass was detected on her spleen during an emergency visit late last week. I was so incredibly nervous and anxious, understandably since this is a major surgery and I was given a less than stellar prognosis prior, but Dr. Carrig came to speak to me the morning of the surgery and made me feel so at ease and answered all of my questions.The surgery was a success, and quite frankly, I’m not sure I would have felt as comfortable as I did leaving my sweet girl there if it wasn’t for him. Thank you, Dr. Carrig, and the McClelland team for taking such good care of my Leila and keeping me informed as soon as she woke up from anesthesia. As a first time pet owner, I couldn’t have asked for a better vet to handle such a stressful surgery.

Had to put my dog down unfortunately but the staff was great with Leo. They were very compassionate, realistic about his prognosis and treatment, and offered a work discount for the services. I received my dog's ashes in a nice box with a locket and his paw print. They sent me a sympathy card in the mail as well. They made a very hard and overwhelming situation go smoothly.

My boyfriend and I have been going to mcclellands for our older, reactive Shepard for the last 3 years and they are amazing every time. The assistants do everything to make her comfortable and the vets are always personable and truly care about their work. They are slightly pricy, but they’re honest and trustworthy.

I wish I could give them 100*stars!If you are looking for a Vet .. McClelland has exceeded my expectations! I do not know another 12 week puppy who jumps into the staff's arms when they come out to get her! Dr. Doyle and the entire staff love Coco and treat her so great! They have a flawless system due to covid and I really appreciate everything they do for the pups. Phenomenal vet and staff!

SUCH CARING STAFF!! I did not feel rushed whatsoever and the vet took his time answering all my tedious questions and had a great attitude. My baby girl is usually VERY anxious and aggressive at the vet but the technician and dr spent some time getting her to smell them & get used to the space before starting on her check up & vaccines. They even offered her a treat! (Which she refused but that was still sweet) I am honestly amazed at how gentle & caring everyone was with her & how they managed to get her to not act like a wild animal at the vet. I would highly recommend them to everyone

After taking my pup to the ER in Amherst exhausted my finance to care for the puppy McClelland Small Animal Hospital treated my baby puppy blue with respect and they was very professional and understanding with my situation and they send me home with medication for my puppy with no charge I'm greatly appreciative a Buffalo Small Animal Hospital on Ellicott they receive 100 Paws Up.

We're extremely grateful for Dr. Reynders' professional services as our terrier (Bailey) completed her final stop in her life's journey. Given Bailey's heart condition, Bailey needed monthly prescription refill. Even during the middle of the pandemic, we didn't have any interruption of medication due to McClelland's responsiveness to changing their operations to ensure safety of the owners and the staff. Otherwise, the clinic is a full-service practice with both preventive visits and the ability to perform small surgical procedures. Despite having a parking lot, it's sometimes difficult to get a parking space.

We've always had excellent care for our furry family members. And if you rescue your pet from the Animal Shelter you receive a discount for the life of your pet! The office is very clean and offers many services. All the staff are wonderful.

It was my first time bringing my puppy to this hospital and was hoping to become a new client. Front desk staff SARA didn’t greet me and was very rude. I was about 6 minutes late because I couldn’t find parking so I had to park a bit away. SARA huffed and puffed, was very irritated that I was late and mentioned multiple times to her co worker how I was late. I ended up spending 200 bucks and wish I didn’t, I only did because my puppy desperately needed his shots. SARA’S attitude and poor customer service made me extremely uncomfortable. This is a small animal hospital not a prison. If you are noticeably stressed and don’t like your job, please quit. This was a terrible experience.

Dr. Reynders always goes above and beyond for my dogs. She helped save my one dogs life and has always followed up on how he's doing if we have had emergencies. Harley loves her and I wouldn't take him any where else. All the staff and Doctors are great in general.

McClelland has been absolutely amazing!! The staff are so friendly and Dr. Carrig has been a godsend during a very stressful time when our young greyhound was really unwell. Judi, one of the techs, has been beyond supportive and helpful. There have been many times when the doctor has made decisions in our dogs' best interests that cost far less than other options I would have agreed to cover, should they have been recommended. I'm so glad we transferred care to this excellent practice, they have my full and entire trust when it comes to our beloved pets!!

I love the veterinarians and the techs here. Surprisingly very good with kittens and cats! The waiting room is small so there are never too many animals at once to stress your pet out. They have a parking lot as well, so you don't have to stress out too much either!

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our baby Aja and they treated us and our baby girl with complete compassion and care and we cannot thank the staff enough. I had a good first experience here but I recently went back for one booster for my cat and it was not a good one. We waited over 45 min in the exam and thought the staff forgot about us. Dr.Patrick is great with my cat and the staff cares for the animals. But what happened next really turned me off. After my first visit I was informed I would just be back for a booster and not an exam. But after receiving an exam only 3 weeks ago I received one and it was not optional and I was told that after they took my credit card. I was told that it is their policy, whenever they do shots they do a “mandatory exam” I do understand that but my cat was there 3 weeks ago and to not convey this until check out is not ok. We all Love our animals and only want the best for them. But to not be Informed and have a repeat exam done in 3 weeks when I have no concern, is just taking advantage of people. These things should be communicated at the start of the appt and also in situations like this where a pet has just had an exam in less then a month, it should be a conversation with the provider if the exam should be preformed.
