🍨 We came here after lunch on a Thursday and there was no wait. There were plenty of outside seating available.🍨 The place is very casual, order at the outside window or inside in the AC. The ladies are super friendly and helpful.🍨 We ordered the Flight of Nine Sampler and the S’more Sundae.🍨 The ice cream is out of this world in terms of the many unique flavor choices. Some of our favorites are the London Fog, Paula’s Glazed Donut, Logan Berry, and Silver Cloud Vanilla. But Really, we loved all the flavors.🍨 Highly recommend this delicious ice cream shop for a dessert stopover. If I lived here in Buffalo, I would come here every week. 💯😋

Great ice cream parlor that offers a variety of flavors. Their idea of ice cream flights of 5 or 9 is genius and caters to fellow ice cream enthusiasts who can't will themselves to choose just 1 or 2 flavors! We got a flight of 5 flavors including cookie dough, black sesame, black raspberry truffle, brown sugar whisky, and London fog. My favorite was brown sugar whisky, hands down. I am excited to try other flavors when I visit Buffalo next. Service was fairly fast, lots of outside seating area, kept clean, and everyone is just having a good time with their ice cream!

Best find ever! This is an absolute must for a sweet treat — the 5 scoop sampler is the greatest idea. Plus the flavors are epic — loved the black sesame, London fog and salted caramel especially.Wish they had one near us in Michigan!

The line was long but well worth it. The ice cream is super good. The line moved fairly quick for as long as it was. I'm not sure if it is usually busy like this so you may want to allow time for the line if you are pressed for time.

Omg so good. The ice creamy was really unique to me.. super creamy and soft. I got the Loganberry and he got the Blue Moon. Both were delicious and I highly recommend trying the Loganberry!Service was great too.

Really busy ice cream shop. Not much parking. Outdoor seating available. Ordered the artisan salted caramel sunday with three scoops. Large portion sizes with good pricing. Ice cream was delicious and flavorful.

What a hidden gem. I am from Toronto and was craving some good ice cream and found this place. I will come here everyone I make a trip to Buffalo now. The creative flavours are something you won't get anywhere else. The donut ice cream tastes like donuts and has donut chunks in it. Mind-blowing. The black sesame flavour was also a favourite with a strong sesame flavour and not too sweet. The scoops are huge, creamy, and the price can't be beat. 6 scoops for less than $10! Can't wait to come back and try all the flavours.

I have never known the place till my friend introduced me and i love them for the first time. Evolution coffee flavor is unbeatable.Excellent price with excellent portion.I have been trying so different ice cream places but i admit this is my best favorite one. Try it and you wont be disappointed

Hard to say something bad about good ice cream. Especially high quality local ice cream. I guess all I can say is that I wish they were more centrally located in the city. Their current location on Hertel is a bit out of the way but definitely worth the trip.

I was visiting Buffalo on vacation and scootered by on my way to the the Frank Lloyd Wright house. I went back a couple of days later….all I can say is wow! I am definitely an ice cream connoisseur and this is some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I got a basic waffle cone with one scoop of House Chocolate and one scoop of Black Raspberry Truffle. Both had amazing flavor, and the texture was flawless. The chocolate pieces in the black raspberry added the perfect amount of crunch. I don’t think I could find better ice cream in the city if I tried. If you’re looking for the best be sure to stop by.

Lake Effect is easily one of the BEST places for ice cream in the Buffalo, NY area. My husband and I love ice cream and we've tried many places, but Lake Effect has always been right at the top of the list. They have a large variety of ice creams that are delicious and packed full of flavor. My husband loves the cake batter, vanilla and coffee flavors and I love the black raspberry truffle, peanut butter epiphany, and sponge candy flavors... However, I think we've had them all and they are all amazing and delicious! If you can't decide, you can even order a flight! If you love ice cream and have never been to Lake Effect, do yourself a favor and get your butt over there! ❤️

The ice cream is always 10/10. I have never been disappointed. Tons of flavors, some super interesting and classics as well! If you get a sundae, it is made to feed a crowd, so if that's not your thing I'd recommend the birthday cake flavor!

I've never had ice cream like this before, It has exceptional creaminess but is not overly sweet, the balance is perfect, many of the flavors are quite unique. But I'm to the point where I have to get the best one in my opinion, donut ice cream with pieces of Paula's donuts included. And just a side note, if you don't know about Paula's donuts, I'm sad for you, because they're the best.

This is a spot that you can’t and cont want to ignore since there are always ppl around. I had the flight to try all the flavors that I’m interested in. They are soooo thick and creamy. Personally love the Date one a lot and the whiskey.

I took my daughter, niece, and father for ice cream, and I ended up being waited on by a former student. It was such a nice family experience, and the ice cream was outstanding! I had the black sesame-- an instant favorite. I'll be here once a week till the season ends.

Such wonderful flavors to choose from, with many different options for how it's delivered in the bowl. Sundaes, samplers, create-your-own and so much more. My girlfriend loved the Butterbeer flavor (she's a giant Harry Potter fan) and I was blown away by the chocolate peanut butter. And there are so many others to choose from. Wonderful option for a warm summer night.

This place is amazing. For artisan / specialty icecream this place is absolutely amazing. Prices are reasonable. Quality is unbelievable. Missed out on the icecream buttered lamb but have something to look forward to next year. Get the Paula's doughnuts red velvet icecream. It will rock your world.

Perfect ice cream retreat for the summer :) A good place with quality ice creams and sundaes, lot of choices. Interesting ice cream flavors too. Quite crowded and long waiting lines and service is a bit slow but worth the wait in the end. There are benches to sit out in the open air too.

Got an amazing butter lamb cake here for Easter! Preordered it and it was ready for pickup up until, and including, Easter Sunday. I really appreciate the open hours as it's very accommodating to my work schedule. Every icecream I've had from here is delicious! Thank you!
