Nice store. They have a large selection of everything and things are sold at a lower price than a large box store. But the name is misleading because products are more than a dollar.

I’ll give it a 10+ my wife and I move to Colvin ave around 4 years ago and I have never seen this location the way it looks like now. No carts all over the place you can actually walk through the aisles with out having to climb the boxes or all the merchandise left on floor I come to this store 2-3 times per day and is just amazing how there staff is always working, nice, helpful if I was the manager I would give everyone a raise just for having the courage of cleaning the entire store for us the customers.

Alicia is the best person anybody could ever work for and as far as the customers go they're very lucky to have her to be in the community she's so kind caring thankful things of others before herself always willing to help and I truly have never seen a harder worker. She taught me a lot of things she also taught me one of the biggest life lessons I'll ever learn is that when you work with somebody you don't just become employees you become family you become close friends you spend so much time together and I made a mistake and I ruined our friendship most of all I lost the trust that I had with you as a friend not most people employees managers or even strangers are easy to become friends with but you you're just an angel and I really hope you know that and I know all your customers know that as well during covid you want above and beyond and did everything you possibly could in our community will always thank you for that

Friendly service is the norm. Has good selection of household necessities. Packs a lot of product in a small space. On the Hertel bus line. Ample off street parking. Most products are no longer a dollar of course, but check out the bargain aisle.

They had some really good deals on cereal & soda. This particular location always had stock in Isles I don't think I've ever been in there weather hasn't been stock in the aisles like it needed to be put away and I'm sure I don't always come there I'm stock day.

I like their Clover Valley brand of snack foods. But they are scattered all over the store in different sections. Lately they've been out of stock on many things I want. Still it's a great value great food and I appreciate the store.

Love the staff at this Dollar General, they are always pleasant, upbeat, and friendly. Much improved over the years. Store however is always a mess, would hate for there to ever have a need for EMERGENCY Exit, impossible, aisles always blocked with large wheelers, crates, and boxes.

First time I shopped here I said it would be my last. Disorganized. Disheveled. Not enough staff. Inventory in the aisles waiting to be stocked on shelves. But the staff is friendly and they carry my favorite band of potato chips at a discount. What else can I say?

What a pigsty! I was in and out in 45 seconds. Love other locations...clean, with nice staff but this one is a total disaster!! Everything on the shelves was in total disarray with things all over the floors. Many aisles completely blocked by stockroom carts of things that were apparently going to be put on the shelves. Hard to shop if you literally cannot go up or down the aisles. Went to Big Lots instead.

All the stores seem to be the same. And not in a good way. The ones I've visited in the Buffalo area are so very dirty and products are everywhere. They have their products to be shelved blocking the Isles and it sits there. Nobody working it. Floors are stained and filthy. Most products are dusty and dirty also. The district manager should be ashamed for sure. No way to run a business. Pretty much all I have to say. One more thing, the staff, where to they get them and what do they do there?

I'm not sure who is in charge of Dollar General on Hertel and Colvin. I have to say it had been an amazing turn around. The floors are clean the isles are not full of garbage and crates on the walkway. That young lady is doing a great job, the store is a pleasure to shop there again.

Dollar general has great merchandise awesome sales and prices always shop for latest deals with discounts nice sales associate excellent managers this location is very popular small store with a big DG sign on top of it no customers were shopping at the time of visit I knew what I wanted to do and leave with my purchased belonging.

Cheap products, friendly staff. You can purchase anything you need to survive here, and other luxury items to that you know you don't really need, but just really want so you kinda just have to buy it, but then you go on to later regret it, but then ultimately you just come to the conclusion that if ants only know the ant hill to be their world, then aren't we all just living in one big anaconda?

This store is about as worse as the one on Grant and Ferry. Staff is completely rude and unprofessional to the max. Once got accused of petty theft in the store and to literally had to cuss the cashier and manager out and had to defend myself against them. Came in to do a refund and exchange for a product and was rudely denied and was told that I couldn't because the product was opened. Shortly afterwards, I was accused of theft cause the sensor went off. I strongly recommend not to patronize this location, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Below you will read my review for this location. It was not good & i really quit going there. However, mindlessly i found myself there 1/14/19. I was absolutely taken aback at how much cleaner & organized it is from 2 months ago. Everyone was busy stocking & handling the checkout line. Many KUDOS to Alysa who brilliantly came up with a way to find more hhours forother employees to handle this & sacrificed her own time to do it. Cashiers; Jerrell & Charlie were busily working & were very pleasant! I will be returning to the Hertel & Colvin location. Thank you!It used to be a really nice store back when it was another team of managers & employees. Now it is nothing but chaotic mayhem in there. It is filthy & there are 5 tier steel carts in every aisle & boxes and merchandise just strewn about. Staff is not very pleasant either.What a dive this store has turned into!!!!

They have a large selection of everyday items. However the store feels really cluttered and can be a bit messy. Cashiers are hit or miss, sometimes they are just down right unpleasant or they will talk your ear off even when other people are in line behind you. Seems like it just depends on the day and who is at the register on how your experience will go.

👁️👄👁️ The Front Cashier (Alicia) made my experience one to remember 6 ⭐ service, showed Undying professionalism from when I walked in to after I left I'd highly recommend everyone to shop here from the managers to the workers there I hope they all succeed and accomplish every single life goal they set for themselves.

Small Dollar general location. Sometimes crowded and messy like uboats full of merchandise crowding and blocking isles in the middle of the day. Friendly staff, good prices, and quick for locals.

Plenty of Halloween candy and the sale was if you buy 2 $5 bags of candy you get 1 $5 bag free ( sale is over , but l am sure they will have more before Halloween ).

It's conveniently located in N.Buffalo. and they have everything you need. The food section gives you the basics. Eggs, milk, juice and small variety of meats etc...
