Well stocked, clean and the staff is really knowledgeable. The late hours are really helpful if you need to pickup things after work. They have tons of supplies for aquatic pets, and everything is fairly priced. I love coming here and trust their opinions.

We’ve been buying at Whole Pets for over than a year now. They were great and we loved supporting this business. However, had a really bad experience today with new assistant manager (said his name was Cory). This person was extremely rude from the beginning. I was just buying cat food (like me and my partner do every other week) and telling him I was enrolled in the dry food rewards program. For the first time since I’ve been coming here, I couldn’t wait to leave the store. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but I did not deserve to be treated like that. Disrespectful, rude, extremely condescending.We will not be returning - very sad, because the manager is super nice and we prefer supporting these kinds of business than big companies. But the treatment I received today was unacceptable- no need to treat clients like this.

Everything you might need is on this store. The employees are very charismatic and caring. You will find what you most likely are looking for. If they don’t have it they can get it for you.Very clean and organized, easy to recognize the sections and find whatever you need by yourself. Would come back!They have a big variety of fishes well maintained, they have birds and ginea pigs too.

Was pleasantly surprised to find a smaller store with well cared for live fish and such a variety. The guys who are there are incredibly knowledgeable and talking to someone else about nano fish and their excitement for setting up special tanks and set ups has made every trip there great and informative. It is such a breath of fresh air going somewhere where those working with the animals are genuinely passionate and care about the animals (aquatic and not) that they work with.Now I don’t have to go into Manhattan or (reluctantly) go to one of the larger big box stores when I am looking for something. Yjw fish I got are active and well cared for and I also got a great piece of wood for my aquarium there for a great price.Oh and they have the friendlier bettas in appropriate community tanks on occasion which is awesome to see considering how badly some stores treat these fish (and it makes it easier to know more about the temperament before purchasing. Especially if you would prefer not having just the solo fish in the tank)

Yesterday the family came together to support my daughter and her first baby dog to Whole Pets Market for her shots. From the beginning to the end everyone was kind and courteous. The veterinarian abide around 3:00 p.m. Baby Zina received her first set of doggy vaccines. Well be back for her boosters. Thank you whole Pets Market, and the wonderful veterinarian that comes out until our community.

All of the fish there are sick I'm surprised my ghost shrimp are still alive and I wasn't paying attention because when I went back it was alot of fish dead in most of the tanks very disappointed

It’s the 2nd time the staff at this store sell me fishes that don’t go together and one kills ALL the others or 2 kill each other.1) That’s terrible! 😢2) It’s unprofessional 😡3) With their level of customer service, it’s a waste of my money 🤬

Wonderful place I love it everytime I go. Their aquatic section is amazing! They will get in shipments of fish and plants upon request and that makes them pretty great! They seem to be in need of less expensive distributors though. I can only speak for the aquatic section, but certain popular fish, shrimp, and plants, are a little over the average price mark. This is a small store so it's understandable with inflation and all...The little guys need help sometimes. They will also accept donations but will not buy or trade. How can we too become distributers?Can trading actually benefit production?? No shade. I love whole pets! Just questions and suggestions.

This store is a breath of fresh air amongst the usual Petco /PetSmart stores you have to go to if you keep animals as pets. Especially seeing as the petco/PetSmart stores all have exactly the same things, with little variety. Whole Pets has Exo Terra and ZooMed products you don't see every day, Like the waterfall kit for reptiles that need extra watering, And Bio orb tanks Besides the round one that you see everywhere. They have a variety of substrates, And different sort of terrarium you may not have seen in the past. Their prices do reflect their unique inventory, But it's worth it as far as i'm concerned to see something that you don't see every day. All that i've described here is only one aisle of the store, The other six have to do with mostly dog cats and small pets. So me being that impressed with one reptile and fish aisle? I think is definitely worth the trip to go see it. They also have a variety of species of live animal. So if you have the chance definitely go by and see Whole Pets!

Really great pet store. Probably one of the best in Brooklyn I'd say even. They have a huge collection of supplies for whatever animal you're looking for.However, aquarium fish is where they really shine. Besides Pacific Aquarium in Chinatown, I actually don't know of a better source in a 6 mile radius where you have access to such a diverse array of fish stock. I've gotten most of my aquarium population from here.Besides that, the store is always well stocked, clean and the employees are super nice and knowledgeable. Well done.

I like this pet store but it is pricey. I like that they offer shots & other Vet services. I noticed the food was more expensive than other pet stores.

The associates are very helpful and knowledgeable. A guy I think was the manager was very helpful in helping me with choosing a new food brand for my cat. They have a live pets for purchase: fish, turtles, different reptiles, hamsters, birds.

Absolutely love this place! Gil is my go to guy, he's always kind and pays attention to detail. All my fish for my 75 gallon are from here and not 1 complaint. I definitely recommend getting all your pets needs here

Been coming to this pet store for years and they always have cool knowledgeable people working. Always neat and clean this pet store like the zoo you can shop, learn, smile. But the plus side is you get to pick a pet ...What I'd like to see different is a remodel of the store. Everything is very outdated. But the staff is cool and they sometimes have what you need or they can get it

Formally known under "Petland". It's one of the best pet shops in New York City. Staff is usually very knowledgeable about all variety of animals they sale. And also they tend to have a more unique offering of livestock.....i.e. exotics not typically found in the avg pet store.I highly recommend this store location for all your pet care needs be it on four legs kind (dog/cat) or swimming in water (fish).

They need to have ppl who know what they are selling and what's right for each animal. Because the people working there particularly the guy who was helping me had no idea about the questions I asked about what I needed for my Betta fish tank. He was very like yeah that's fine sure you could do that when I had've had fish before different kinds and big tanks small tanks etc. Which I already had my Betta fish for over 2 weeks no problems. I just wanted to add rocks and real plants which he told me was fine for my Betta then after doing everything the right way my fish ended up dying 2 days later. It was very upsetting.
