This is the best Whole Foods, in the Brooklyn and Queens area! I had a fractured foot and was only able to shop because they had mobile carts. The other Whole Foods that I called did not have mobile carts and since I could not walk far with the boot on my foot I was limited with where I could shop. Thank you for accommodating those of us with disabilities!Staff were very helpful and the best part is there is a parking lot outside but is covered which is helpful during inclement weather. Very grateful for this Whole Foods & don’t mind traveling here from Astoria Queens!

Beautiful, huge supermarket. Attractive, wide, clean aisles. Be prepared to spend a lot of time exploring. Many breads and rolls in the bakery, nicely packaged meats and poultry. Decent sale items. Grocery items I have never before seen. Place goes on forever. Bathrooms upstairs. Lots of parking. But expensive.

This Whole Foods is the most beautiful grocery store in America, very possibly the world! It has its own gorgeous park with benches right over the storied and iconic gowanus canal, once a putrid disgusting waterway which has since been cleaned up The shop is immaculate. Everything is well-placed. From the moment one enters, your immediate needs are placed at the forefront: vegetables and fruits, followed by seafood and meats and then finally other stuff we dont really need but may just want. I’m impressed at how well-thought out the product placement is. Whoever designed this shop deserves an award.Even the produce here looks better than produce elsewhere, shinier and prettier. The atmosphere is zen and customers for the most part are in great spirits too.The parking lot outside is beautiful with mini wind turbines and massive solar panels. I visited this shop multiple times a day during the pandemic because its such a nice store. These days I live in an outer borough so my less frequent trips are valued even deeper. I even got mugged on my way here and stopped in nonetheless to catch my breath and gather myself. Its a special place. You’ve set a high bar for grocery shopping WFG, now I compare most places in NYC to you. I’ll go to other WF and say, sure its nice but its not Gowanus Whole Foods Gowanus: you’re my favorite 💜 thank you for making grocery shopping so fun yet zen.

Good God if I ever think about coming here on a Sunday again I hope I get hit by a car in the way there so that I don't have to endure the horrible mob of completely unaware goons shopping this joint. But chips are 2.99 a bag and the guys at the meat counter don't miss. Shout out to them, walked up and got a 4lb pork butt in about a minute flat.

I used to love this place, but I have to say that the quality of products and service have gotten worse lately. Their flowers used to be very fresh and good taste in bouquets, but it is very bad now. Even local corner stores have fresher flowers and better taste in bouquets. The quality of fruits and vegetables have gotten worse as well. It’s very sad to lose one of my favorites. Hope their management is aware of it and willing to fix with a pride for name brand of WF.

Great place to shop for wholesome foods. Many organic products. It was unusually crowded for a location that seems industrial. Plenty of free parking. The location is unique as it's the most green friendly in all of Brooklyn. It produces it's own electricity by solar and wind. Has the nations only commercial rooftop greenhouse, Gotham greens. Indoor rooftop lounge to eat and a bar. Small trail around the gowana river. It was an experience to see this in Brooklyn. And this has been around for over 10 years wow. Maybe more people will move to this area.

The place is becoming worse and worse over the years.Cashier was giving me bad attitude when I asked him for an extra bag for a cake and was rolling eyes at me. (It happened on May 4 evening 15 min before store was closing) Also he forgot to ask if I have prime and overcharged me. I used to work at WFM and they were teaching always ask for prime and be kind and courteous with customers, so sad to see this.

Got a birthday cake from here. The bakery is amazing. Workers were very nice and the cake was the most delicious I ever had. (Mango Chantilly)

Love it! This is the only one that has (drum roll please))) PARKING!!! Yeah, this one has parking. The workers are really nice, shoutout to all of the workers from the fish and cake sections. Have been shopping here since whole food was its own company.)))) There have been some changes since Whole foods was bought by Amazon, yet such a great supermarket. Thank you.

There was a need for a few snacks while we were in NYC, so the hubs selected Whole Foods. We arrived around 7 pm, so that clearly plays a part in good selection. We had no issues getting quick snacks, water, and beverages, so we decided to pick up dinner as well. Not a good idea. The hot meals were sparse and needed to either be replaced or refreshed. We ended up going with pizza slices because even the pasta area was not appetizing. The staff was friendly, alert, and quick to assist. That part is typically a bright spot.Oh and the pizza was alright.

Great assortment, however sometimes your find that some of their fresh produce is expired and packed with non-expired produce; also their citrus assortment is somewhat lacking. Overall, incredibly clean store, excellent bakery section, and meat packing. Rooftop is top notch, great for a picnic with a great view of the stunning Gowanus beach.

This place has lots of goodies! And pretty decent sales, if you're an Amazon member. We have been coming here for many years. We prefer it over the Bedford Avenue store.

Greatest organic eggs I ever tried (whole foods brand). Great price for organic tomatoes on the vine $2.99 per lbs. They taste good too. The organic cucumbers are tasty and reasonably priced, as well as Organic baby arugula. Whole foods organic yogurt in large container is $3.39 and they have different flavors. I get whole milk plain. Organic milk is at the best price you can find. I am attaching some photos with prices. You can find some pretty good deals. Otherwise, prices are expensive on most of the items. If you find this review helpful, please give it a thumb up. Thank you and good luck with your shopping.See my other reviews.

This Whole Foods has a wonderful prepared foods section.Ended up getting the salmon plate for $15; came with two expertly prepared vegetable sides. Salmon itself was well cooked, tasted like it came from the seafood section (good texture), and had a honey glaze with nuts and such on top.Do recommend! Also get 90 minute parking validation by spending more than $10 (and so the prepared food is enough to hit that!)

Unpleasant Experience at Whole Foods Self-CheckoutI wanted to share my recent experience at your store, particularly at the self-checkout area, which left me quite dissatisfied.During my visit today, I encountered issues with the self-checkout machine, as it repeatedly scanned the same product despite my efforts to proceed correctly. I sought assistance from the first employee nearby, explaining the situation and requesting help to resolve the issue.she removed the list.and I start scanning. As I continued scanning, the problem persisted, and I asked for assistance once again. This time, a staff member approached, suggesting that I was at fault for leaving items in the scan area. Despite my attempts to explain that the scanning machine usually recognizes identical codes and doesn't repeat the scan, I encountered resistance and was advised to handle the situation differently. To my disappointment, the employee seemed uninterested in assisting and ignored my requests for help, leaving me frustrated and inconvenienced. Fortunately, another individual, not initially in a Whole Foods uniform but still recognized as an employee, observed the situation and stepped in to help resolve the repeated scanning problem.I have been a Whole Foods customer since 2019, and this incident marked the first time I felt mistreated and disregarded by your staff. I believe in kindness and understanding, even in stressful work environments. I hope this feedback can contribute to enhancing the overall customer experience at your store.

I am a loyal WholeFood shopper.. Yes I am proud of it. The food is super fresh. It’s what we need health is wealth and ‘WholeFood’ provides just that .. This on in Brooklyn is great parking and the store will have you think you left the state to travel and shop..

Cashier confused a produce for another and mischarged for it. He also forgot to give $3.5 in change and I had to ask for it back. Then I had to fix his mistake and he miscounted the items during his attempt to fix it. The customer service cashiers were too busy yapping with each other and it took them a while for them to fix one of our issues. Lazy and irresponsible workers.

Great beer selection. Only Whole Foods with free parking lot in NYC. Always, spotless. Double check the exit for sale products when you walk in.

I’ve only been here twice but I can say that this is one of the largest Whole Foods locations I’ve ever visited.. Of course this means their selection is bigger that most other locations and the lines were shorter than what I’m used to.. The staff was pretty friendly and the store was kept clean and organized.. Tons of organic produce and fresh foods, a huge vitamin and supplement department, fresh seafood, meats and cheeses, there’s absolutely something for everyone here.. For the lost part everything here was standard Whole Foods fare, from the hot bar and salad bar to the prepared foods and baked goods.. The location is actually pretty convenient, being just off of 3rd and in between the busy neighborhoods of Park Slope and Carrol Gardens.. With a huge array of health products, this store is a great addition to Brooklyn and a great benefit to the community all around..

Found out last minute that I needed flowers for an occasion. Whole Foods has a nice selection of premade bouquets along with a variety of potted plants available. Paid and the staff wrapped it up beautifully at no extra charge!

I purchase food from the hot bar regularly but I made the mistake of going the hot bar where you are served located next to the pizza. I requested the roasted chicken. There was a quarter on the very top. The gentleman started to grab a half from the bottom but I requested the quarter that was sitting on the very top. He placed it in a box but I guess he realized am assuming that he was given instructions to only serve halves am assuming because he told be he’s not allowed to serve the quarter. Am not annoyed with the worker although he didn’t seem to be I a good mood but how can I blame him when big corporations treat their employees like ish. Anyways how does everything in the hot bar is served by weight but the roasted chicken smh. This place use to be really awesome but it’s slowly going down the drain. Switching gears, what the hell is going on with the bar area upstairs. Pre pandemic the bar was always packed. A truly well designed area, wonderful patio but am getting the feeling that Whole Foods is gearing up to get rid of this wonderful space and I say this because they no longer serve food out the bar kitchen if am explaining this issue properly. When whole foods first open this location they promoted the rooftop but seem to not care about it anymore. A real shame because this is a really beautiful space even more so in the warmer weather also fantastic beers truly tasty.

Serves “vegan” meatballs that are real meat in the hot bar. Never again will I purchase completely overpriced food that claims to be vegan made of a dead animal. I spoke with the prepared foods manager who without hesitation confirmed the large meatballs were real meat, then tried to blame it on a customer dumping one in the vegan meatballs. I explained it was an entire tray of large meatballs labeled vegan. Absolutely disgusting.

I tried to find out where they put the bread after the store closes and couldn’t, but it looks like a decent size of bread is just thrown away if they can’t sell it. it's a shame! give this bread to the homeless or people who need it, why throw it away

Love the store but the people? The customers AND STAFF are the worst. Especially if you're darker than a paper bag. I literally just left purchasing 3 items, doing my shopping in a record 8 minutes because I hate being in crowded places with white people because it's triggering. Especially when entitled people walk around leisurely while I'm being followed. For one, a white women rammed her cart into me 3 times AS she was aggressively saying "excuse me". Do people not know how civilization works? And this never happens when my handsome tall husband is shopping by my side. Honestly I hope they place more migrant shelters in the gowanus neighborhood. These people are more toxic than the gowanus canal in 1979. Also I'm almost certain they called the police on me for suspicion of shoplifting. There were suddenly 5 police officers and security waiting at the door as I was leaving. Maybe it was a white shoplifter (more likely) afterall I was literally the only black person in the store at that time. I don't know for sure but no one here is kind, not that husky white dude at self checkout that I'm sure they reward for being unpleasant. I'm sure it makes everyone else there feel "safe" and I'm sure their pale customers prefer racism over friendly people to keep the blacks away. I've spent thousands and thousands on whole foods and Amazon. Go to another Whole foods people or just another supermarket all together if you have any self respect. Honestly I wish 10 migrant shelters in these people. And I hope they shop at whole foods and it drives them nuts. That's what you get for messing with a lifelong tax paying real New Yorker. I hope they plummet your real estate values.

Beautiful store. Great produce and lots of choices on everything. I was so excited to discover this Whole Foods. But I live far from Gowanus and was just in the neighborhood today. when I brought everything home , I realized an item I bought (that was featured in the front of the store prominently) had expired over a month ago and I thought I was serving it tonight :/ I will not be close to the store to return it or get a credit , so Im annoyed to have lost the $ and the time.

Nice place to buy groceries. Especially for organic produce. They offer a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The price is reasonable with Prime membership. In this location, the food court not only sells fresh made sushi, but it also sells tonkotsu ramen noodles. They taste better than some of the sit-down restaurants

I let it go for a few times, but, just got sick of it. The cold cut workers radiate that “you are bothering us and I’m doing you a favour” attitude. Also, for the 2nd time, the cashier charged me for the wrong item, and … it’s never being charged in your advantage, but to upcharge:))$ “let’s charge $1/lb bananas as the $5/lb pumpkin seeds …I would think that the Whole Food should contact me and not I, who already contacted the Whole Foods. Typical “nice” politically correct response from the company

This is a good place to shop for fresh and healthy groceries especially if you have specific dietary needs (certified organic, non-GMO, gluten free etc.) It's also a great place to eat. They have a hot buffet, deli, bakery and salad bar as well as a grill on the second floor and plenty of seating. They have an outdoor deck on the second floor with a nice view that is perfect during the warm weather.

This is my favorite wf in Brooklyn. They have a parking lot and I feel like it’s low key. It’s never busy, I also go around noon lol. Always clean and the staff is nice. They have everything in stock too
