I've been trying to locate my prescription since Monday. I can't even get someone to answer the phone. I'm visiting from out of town, and I couldn't imagine this "business" surviving let along being open. People would have stopped going. I'm going to get my prescription transferred from this location, wouldn't shop here if I HAD to. IF this is all you can offer the community, you might as well close since that wouldn't be much difference.

DO NOT come here to get any prescriptions filled. Do not call the number for the pharmacy. My script has been processing since Monday. I am writing this post as of Wednesday morning.IF you call the number, you will be on hold for hours. I am currently on hold as writing this. I called at 9am when the pharmacy opened. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 20mins with 1 person ahead since I began this call.Go to another pharmacy. If you do go here, expect long line waits (1-2hours), early closures of the pharmacy without notice, and MOST importantly your prescription will not be ready no matter how early your doctor sends over the script.*The photo shows how long I been on hold on the phone since 9am with only 1 person ahead of me. The other two photos is the line in person.*

FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS ELSEWHERE If you want to maintain your mental health. The wait times in-person are always ridiculously long with 1 drop off / pick up line and your call will connect and automatically placed back on hold multiple times before the line eventually disconnects. Go elsewhere. CVS on Kings Hwy and Utica is slightly better and opens 24 hours.

This store is the WORST. After holding the line for 65 minutes they didn't take my call instead they hanged the phone up. My mother's aide went to pick her medication two days post heart surgery and they refused to giveIt to her because she had no ID. Since when do you need ID for non_nacotic medication? There need to be some sort of supervision for these incompetent workers. PS I will be making a complaint to BBB

The floor staff are amazing help, they go above and beyond , exceptional knowledge of products from personal care to vitamins and over counter medicine, they are so helpful! Granted the line at the pharmacy could go a bit faster. Good customer service 🙏

This is the worst pharmacy in the world! I would give them 0 stars if I could. If you care about you health/life, DON'T GO HERE! IT'S A 3-RING Circus!!! No clear communication whatsoever, and they have you waiting for hours. They are highly incompetent, and should not be running a pharmacy. If they have a question about a prescription, they won't ask for clarification. Instead you have to keep reaching out to them, and when you ask them what they need clarification on, they say "the doctor should know". STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!!

Walgreens does not appear to value life and instead has put the lives of patients who rely on the pharmacy at risk. For months the pharmacy (5001 Church Ave) was closed and would open inconsistently for a day or two. I missed two refills of my medication for my chronic condition during this time and have since moved my prescription to another pharmacy. Once when they were open, I stood on line for two hours to be told that the my automatic monthly refill was not placed and needed to be ordered (after waiting for two weeks, they never did provide me with my medication). I watched as others left empty handed, listened as someone with chronic backpain complained about the pain they were in from standing for so long, and watched as older women shuffled along and wondered what healthcare crisis Walgreens was creating in my community and what could be done. The manager of the store said the pharmacy did not have a permanent pharmacist and temporary pharmacists were sent to the store when possible. I find it strange that in an oversaturated market for pharmacist that Walgreens could not find a permanent pharmacist for more than 2 months. Beyond that, I am appalled at Walgreens failure to, at the very least, inform patients via phone and/or email with an automated message that they will not be able to provide the necessary service and patients should work with their doctor to send medications elsewhere. Instead, the store accepted new prescriptions on top of the existing prescriptions they did not fill and posted signs about "maintenance" and frequent "temporary" closures rather than being honest and direct about the life and death service it could not and therefore failed to provide. The grave injustice of this cannot be overstated.

Just unacceptable ‼️ not sure if their understaffed but management needs to do better. As well as corporate all of these negative reviews regarding the pharmacy department is ALARMING. my prescription was called in on Sunday afternoon. I went into the pharmacy before work on Monday. The lines were out of the door tried again Tuesday morning lines were out the door came in later and not only did they close early but they said they weren't excepting any more people today. Keep in mind which is day three. I wait an hour and a half online just for them to tell me that they're backed up in my prescription is ready. Come back tomorrow. If they know that they’re backed up, they should stop excepting prescriptions from doctors offices if they can’t handle the workload so I’m supposed to wait another day uncomfortable without my prescription and this whole situation just makes me want to cry.

45 MIN - 1 HOUR WAIT!SLOW, LONG LINES AT PHARMACYI arrived at 2 pm and there were 9 people ahead of me. It took 45 minutes for me to reach the pharmacist’s window! Meanwhile the line behind me stretched back to near the front of the store with over 20 people in line throughout!I took a picture of the line and posted it here. I don’t know if it’s the slowness of the pharmacists or the unwillingness of the manager to hire more pharmacists, but this is a ridiculous situation that is frankly disrespectful to customers, esp the elders who have to stand for so long!And don’t bother calling the pharmacy or management at this location. They will let the phone ring forever without answering it.

THIS IS THE WORST PHARMACY EVER! I was in excruciating pain after my wisdom tooth extraction and needed my prescriptions right away. First of all, forget about calling them for questions. They will never pick up your call. The first time I tried to call them, I was placed on hold for an hour and 30 minutes just for them to hang up on me! I decided to go there in person to pick it up despite being in so much pain. The line was ridiculously long and I waited almost two hours just for them to tell me that my prescriptions will be ready in another hour! At this point, I got so upset and transferred my prescriptions to another Walgreens pharmacy and was able to pick it up at that location immediately. As a former employee of Walgreens, I am disgusted! I used to work for one of the busiest stores in NYC (much busier than this store) and it never got this bad at all! DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go this place!

I am not surprised, reading one star reviews on this horrible place they call pharmacy.I called on the phone yesterday. They hung up on me after 55 minutes waiting.I called back again today, they transfer me with a call center, which is absolutely no help and useless !!!!Oh my prescription refill it’s late five days already, they seem to be bother lessDO NOT REFILL NOR ORDER YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS HERE EVER !!!

HORRIBLE Pharmacy! Do NOT use them to fulfill your medication needs!! My son is asthmatic, I received an automatic call that said his nebulizer medication and pump was ready for pick up. I go to the pharmacy to get it, and they said “we no longer accept this insurance”. Fast forward 2 months later, my doctor sent my prescription for my severe migraines and 3 weeks later it’s still processing? Absolutely ridiculous! I never had this issue at Rite Aid or the little mom and pop pharmacies I’ve used in the past. I’m new to this neighborhood and figured Walgreens will meet out needs, They have NOT! And the lines are ridiculously long regardless of time of day! They need to get this Walgreens OUT of our community! They do don’t provide the service, care or attention that so many need! Most of them that works behind the counter is pleasant, but I cannot honestly say they all are.

To the head of this organization, whatever your title:SHAME ON YOU. Your clients are patients, sick people, who need their medication, they must be treated better. After receiving an automated call stating that the medication is ready. I called the pharmacy, I'm told to allow 90 minutes for the medication to be ready. I arrived after 90 minutes, waited in line for 45 minutes to be told that it will be tomorrow after 11 am. This Walgreens Pharmacy at corner of Church and Utica Avenues the worst.

I spent an 1hour and 30 minutes waiting online for prescription, when I finally get in front. I asked if the prescription was ready but, it wasn't even process yet. They say it's going to take another 30 minutes for it to be processed. When the guy finally put it in to process he said they have to review it. I asked while it's been reviewed, can I come in tomorrow for it, and they say they are not going to guarantee me that it's will be ready tomorrow when I come in. My Mom is 82 years old. She needed her medication to be able to bring her blood pressure down, her cholesterol her sugar etc. So when she come in she cannot even stand anymore, for her to spend an 1hour and 30 minutes waiting as an old woman is unacceptable. You need to find a way to make it better for your clients. You need to give Client's better service because running a business is all about your Client's. If the client is not happy they're going to take there business somewhere else.

Called multiple times, no one picked up. I would wait for 10 minutes or more on the phone, but no one picked up, not even the pharmacy. All you want is to ask a simple question no matter how much you call and want they won't pick up their phone to answer if they have the product before you go I into the store.

The wait for a prescription is always long, no less than 1/2 an hour. The automated phone messaging system said my prescription was ready. I went three times for a allergy prescription that i desperately needed. Stood in line for 65 minutes to be told it was not available. I went back two other times, but had to leave because the wait was too long. Staffing levels may be the issue. The current staff are hard working and pleasant. Not a good place for seniors or people with physical issues to go. Going back 1 week later on a Saturday at the time of the pharmacy's opening to see if I'm successful.

The waiting time is extremely long. Since the closing of Rite-aid on Utica and Church Ave... the wait is at least 30 mins to be service in the pharmacy. No one answers the phones. My doctors office called and couldn't get through. They have to do better and service the customers better

I’m really trying to figure out why hasn’t corporate stepped in already!! this place gets so many bad reviews !!! Y’all either need to hire more staff or shut this place tf down! The line is ridiculous I don’t care what time of day you come there, it’s a lineeeee ! Nobody ever picks up the phone ! All these pharmacies including rite aid is struggling with being understaffed and trained on good customer service! This is ridiculous at this point!

Its a pity they isn't a zero star, this is a horrible pharmacy.. I have been Waiting almost 1 month for a prescription refill, its useless to even call the number listed, they will literally let u hold on for eternity, then hang up the phone. I tried calling these ppl for over q week to notify them of insurance changes, no response, stood in line for qhr and 20 minutes, then was told I needed prior authorization... duhhhhh.. why do u think I was calling. I'm definitely taking my prescription elsewhere. VERY VERY POOR SERVICE!!!

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had in a while; it’s been three consecutive days of me calling about my prescription. Not just any medicine but my birth control and flu medication. It should’ve been ready since Monday around 6:00 PM. On Tuesday, after waiting over an hour, someone assured me that it would be prepared that same day; I informed them not only was the medicine time sensitive, BUT I had a flight on Wednesday to catch, so I had to receive the medication on Tuesday.Wednesday morning, no medicine. I called. I spent 2hrs and one minute waiting in the queue just for someone to pick up the phone and hang up. This is completely ridiculous!

Was calling the pharmacy to get the prescription status as a prescribing provider. Was on hold for more than 1 hour, once reached 30 minutes mark they hung up on me twice. Worst customer service ever in my experience.

The customer service at this store is extremely poor! Do I have to give it a star! I waited in an aisle for over 15 minutes for someone to open the toothpaste case. Keep in mind, the alarm alerting the staff over the loud speaker "Assistance needed in the Dental aisle" wa blaring throughout the store. Still no one showed up to assist . I had to alert the cashier that I've been waiting. He then paged someone. However, this took another 7 minutes before I could get assistance.And then there's the never ending, extremely long railroad of a line. Every- single - time you walk into the store. That took another ten minutes. Just to purchase toothpaste.

Terribly understaffed and the little staff that does work, work like they’re severely underpaid. Every other item is under lock and key but I don’t blame them, I blame people in the community and those who travel within it- they come in and either steal items or open it and test it to only put it back on the shelf. Lines are always long and slow moving. Staff can be cool sometimes, otherwise it’s just the whole establishment itself is ghetto - the lack of stock make it hard for the community to shop for essentials. When things on sale they don’t limit people from hoarding. When asked about stock and quality of stock blame is placed elsewhere vs taking accountability for the stores mismanagement. Makeup section is for the white people. I don’t know why in an African American and Latino neighborhood is there pale pasty white foundation on the shelves. No foundation in various shades for POC. On a good day you’ll see a bottle the color of barley toasted bread. Inventory here is a mess in a hand basket. We deserve better. They do not have their stores looking a mess in the white and asian communities. Not one store is out of order where the Russians and the Jewish live. It’s the black and brown communities that get less than service and quality and it’s unacceptable.

I love walgreens. However this locations staff lacks customer service. The majority of this young employees are rude. The lines are extremely long. While the manager stands around just watching the line get longer.Also when needing someone to open up a case for products it takes a while. They do so as if they are annoyed and cant be bothered.
