A very worry free experience! Our dog was a little nervous, but Kaiya was so sweet, patient, caring and professional! Kudos and much thanks to her! The vet took the time to answer our questions and was very sweet as well. A very refreshing experience indeed. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to my husband and I the care needed for our little Casanova. Thank you! Keep up the amazing job 👏 👍

DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF I COULD RATE NO STARS I WOULD.DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE !!!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE !!THIS WAS MY DOG EYES BEFORE & AFTER VETCO APPOINTMENT .I WENT TO VETCO FOR MY DOGS EYE. HIS EYE WAS A LITTLE RED. NOW LOOK AT WHAT THE VETERINARIAN DR ROTH DID. SHE NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL. MY DOG WAS CRYING AND SCREAMING. I HAD TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AFTER. THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR OR MANAGER TOLD ME THEY WONT HELP PAY ANY EXPENSES. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET !! I REPEAT ! DO NOT !! I TOOK MY DOG TO VETCO TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. I DROPPED HIM OFF AT 10 AM TO DO BLOOD WORK, FECAL TEST ETC & I WAS CALLED TO PICK HIM UP AT 3:30 & THIS IS HOW I GOT MY DOG BACK ! BLOODY SWOLLEN EYES! I HAD TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM ALL NIGHT ! . IF YOU TAKE YOUR PET HERE, YOU’RE BASICALLY KILLING YOUR PETS ! WORST ANIMAL HOSPITAL EVER. !!!!!

Update 4/29TLDR - DO NOT VISIT THIS VET. SHE DOES NOT DOSE MEDICATION CORRECTLY OR TAKE AN ADEQUATE HISTORY.An update on the vet's competency- she has none. I was able to wrangle the antihistamine prescription from her after repeated calls and speaking with her manager. She prescribed 10mg/mL QD of oral suspension cetirizine (Zyrtec) for my cat to help with the allergies. After the second dose (given as directed) my cat was near comatose with lethargy, not eating, not drinking. I ran to an actual vet where I found out that the dose was double what it should have been.NOT ONLY DOES THIS VET FAIL TO TAKE A FULL HISTORY BECAUSE SHE PREFERS THE SOUND OF HER OWN VOICE, BUT SHE CAN NOT CORRECTLY DOSE MEDICATIONS FOR ANIMALS EITHER. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET- RUN AWAY.She will also be extremely rude to you during her entire mismanaged process.4/15This is a review for the vet at vetco total care not the store.This is not a review regarding this vets competency, but her bedside manner. This vet may be perfectly competent, but she is also extremely rude.At my first appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early and was not seen until after the appointment time had ended. I had popped my head out to ask about an estimated updated time and was just told that the vet would be in twice. When the vet finally came in, I commented on the lateness and she responded by saying, “The appointment starts right now because I’m here.” I understand that she must’ve been in a rush since she was so far behind, but she interrupted me continuously throughout the appointment. As a result she took down some incorrect information regarding my cat’s history because she could not seem to listen to me.She was thorough in the testing and did reach out to some specialists regarding my concern. This is why I give her two stars instead of one.However, her disrespectful and condescending behavior continued when it became time to fill out a prescription for my cat. This vet did not agree with my desired care plan. My cat has allergies and I requested a steroid for her because this treatment was the only one that has worked in the past. The vet recommended an antihistamine. When discussing this with her, she continued to interrupt me and speak over me instead of conversing with me. This resulted in her completely missing the fact that I requested that she put in a prescription for both the antihistamine and the steroid so I could try the prescribed antihistamine first and then have the script for the steroid if the antihistamine didn’t work. I also told her which pharmacy I needed these meds sent to and she ignored that as well.Later, I received a phone call from a pet pharmacy of her choice (not mine) telling me that they only had one prescription the steroid. When I called back to have this matter rectified, she was, once again, incredibly rude and spoke over me to tell me that “[I] could not speak to her that way” when I had simply asked her to stop interrupting me.Overall, while this vet may have the education to be competent, her bedside manner prevents her from listening to a pet parent’s concerns and working with them in order to help their pet. I would not trust her simply because I do not trust her to listen to my concerns thoroughly and I would be perpetually afraid that she missed an important detail simply because she finds her voice is more important than anyone else’s.The vet tech and front office staff were lovely.

Dr Motelb and Eric are absolute heaven sent! Not only did the doctor take charge and had my fur baby’s best interest at heart Eric was so informative and patient with us ❤️ the front desk staff are lovely and Kristiaa was so patient with us while checking out!

Amazing Vet/Petco experience. The assistants were very friendly and reassuring. The doctor was super nice and informed us about everything that was needed for our 6 yr old cat, Sora. Petco Vital Care was useful as they also waived the entire fee for the initial Wellness Exam. Would recommend to other pet owners for a quick and helpful visit!

Unprofessional service. Have made an appointment online, then received a call and rescheduled for earlier time which was better for me, then 3 hours later have received another call from them that they will have to reschedule for 2.45ppm, but I’ve planned my day. Very disappointed with VETCO

Be prepared to wait extra long due to the overcrowding at this Vetco. I was told to come back for my dog’s second vaccination shot and I found out when i arrived that they will charge you an examination fee of $55-$90 for each visit. I understand the examination charge for the first visit, but to come back a month later for the second shot and be charged for another examination charge is ridiculous. The local vets in Bensonhurst do not do this.Would avoid this Vetco if you are only looking for vaccinations

Jess, the vet tech, is always ready with a smile and a helping hand. She is friendly, knowledgeable and does everything she can to make the dogs and their owners feel at ease. We thank her for always going the extra mile!Dr Roth is a warm and compassionate vet who always takes the time to answer questions and explain whatever is necessary We feel our dog is in excellent hands at vetco 🐾🐾

My beloved cat Emily died with no appropreat treatment in this clinic by Mrs Roth. During a few weeks she did not provide any treatment though my cat had increasing inflamation which eventually turned into kidney failure, generalized sepsis and death. What was done by her is endless tests and waiting for results. In the meantime my Emily was slowly diyng! Please, think twice before you go to this clinic, if so closely monitor everything has been done, have second opinion and act immediately! Dont wait! Dont make my mistakes and maybe you can be a good pet parent, not like me who couldnt force vet to do his job and treat sick cat. Now Im initiating lawsuit with my lawyer and complaining to Vet Licensing board New York to make investigation and and find out if Mrs Roth was acting professional and if her actions or absence of necessary actions lead to my Emily's death. I attach my Emily's last foto made at vet ER. She passed away a few minutes later...

Will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Nia greater us with a warmth smile and made sure that we are comfortable and so is my fur baby while we wait to be seen. Ursula the nurse vet and Dr. Roth was so nice and very pleasant. They all really made sure you get the treatment you needed.

Exceptional service and staff! We came in for a tech appointment for vaccines and turns out my dog also had an ear infection and another issue. The staff was meticulous and thorough and were able to help us with everything in a timely manner. Eric led us through the whole process and was kind and patient with us. My dog absolutely loves him and is excited to come to vetco ! Thank you vetco and a special thanks to Eric and Dr. Roth for always taking care of us and explaining everything patiently and thoroughly 🙂

Dr. Roth and Eric were fantastic with my 2 year old mix breed Sligo on his annual check up! He was comfortable with them which made me very happy! They were both extremely informative and knowledgeable about possible treatment plans for his anxiety and were very understanding while I talked to them about my concerns. They truly made me feel like they were treating both me and Sligo like family and wanted only the best for my pup, which as a first time dog mom, is all I can asks for. Thanks again for the 5 Star treatment! I recommend them to anyone and everyone that asks!

The team here is so amazing 👏. I am so grateful for them. I took my 5month old kitten to the vet because she was not being her usual self. I was super scared and lost as she is my first ever pet in life and my kids. Nia transmitted so much calmness and clarity over the phone. Jess along with Dr. Arias were amazing. Super informative and going out their way to make sure Luna was ok. I even caught Jess being so loving towards Luna like if was hers. I live out in the bronx and would make this trip again for my Luna. She is actually going back for her vaccine follow ups and yes to Vetco out in Brooklyn where Dr. Arias, Nia and Jess are THE BEST. I am so super grateful for these guys and the treatment. It's the calmness, kindness and clarity Dr. Arias and the team evolved transmit to the pet parent. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS 🙏

Today I took my dog to Petco on Avenue Y and Dr. Aries was amazing. He explained everything to me so that I understood what was going on with my dog. He gave me advice and also told me how to administer his medication. I would love to see him at Vetco on Avenue Y I am going to tell everyone I meet that has a dog to go there and have him look at your dogs. He was down to earth kind and always had a smile on his face. That is a true vet.

Would have given 0 stars if possible, and if not for the front desk lady, she was amazing out of all of the gang. Arrived 10 minutes late for a wellness check appointment, asked the front desk, and she said it was ok but would need to wait . We said no problem and settled in in a waiting room. About 30 minutes later were called into the exam room, had a lady who we assumed an assistant/tech who took notes of our concerns and we said that we do not think she is sick or in distress but certain change in her drinking pattern and weight gain concern us. She took the cat in and walked out, saying they would examine her, and then Vet would explain what we needed to check out in detail. About 7 min later she came back with another lady who didn't introduce herself,didn't say hi, she just ran into the room almost screaming at us that we need to leave,accusing of lying and making wellness check appointment instead of sick appointment, yelling that we were late and they don't have time to make a sick pet examination and we need to reschedule.We were shocked and walked to the front desk, and then all of the questions started to surface. How do they know we need a sick appointment? What did they check out so far? What made them think so? What did they do to our cat? Why did they have to yell? We were told it is fine that we were late, if they said from the start it was a problem and we need to come back it would be a different story. We made a wellness check appointment to check if our cat was ok, wasn't sick this is why we have arrived in the first place and it is not like we are gettinga free care,we are paying for it, paying for the cat to be checked out. Our cat is not acting sick and not in distress. The level of care and how they acted should be a fair warning not to bring your pet to this clinic!Inhumane even to humans, what kind of treatment would pets get? Still in a complete shock, this lady vet or assistant vet needs a rabbis shot , so she will not attack and for others to be safe around her.

The experience was amazing beginning to end. The receptionists was very welcoming. The male nurse was very kind and thorough with reviewing pricing for our comfort and the vet was extremely knowledgeable. I have never been to a Vetco and has the best vet experience ever (I’ve visited 7-8 different vets in the last several years).

We absolutely Love Vetco and our vet Dr.Motello, she is so kind and friendly and you can tell she really loves her fur animal patients- from the staff Nia at the front desk who always has a smile on her face and such a positive attitude. Everyone at Vetco deserves 10 stars. We also love that they are very gentle with animals and don’t believe in restraining them for vaccinations which can cause even further stress. Our little Prince Charming Sky & Sugarplum love everyone there. They are just a fantastic office. Clean. Professional. Most importantly knowledgeable. Thank you!Dr. Motello is AMAZING. She truly has a gift with animals and Destiny the vet Tech is fantastic so kind and gentle.

I don’t know why you called yourselves a clinic. When I brought my cat because it was an emergency and he needed help, they refused to even look at him, because their vet was “busy with paperwork”. Shame on you! Disgusting!

Dr. Roth and the tech who did not identify himself, were both friendly and professional. They had wonderful recommendations and answered all my questions. The front desk staff was also friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment we came in.
