I went to this store today as I usually get my puppy vaccines/products from them. All I can say is the Vet Vicente Gonzalez. wasn’t friendly at all. A little kindness or smile to your patients doesn’t hurt sometimes. And I’ve just purchased a membership just because the staff from the store it self were super nice. And then I went in the back for vet services and unfortunately wasn’t a pleasant time.

Usually have no issues with this store, and I usually bring my dog here since he enjoys coming here. But today the guy that checked us out this morning, seemed miserable and unfriendly…as if he hates dogs. Did not get good vibes and I felt really awkward for having my dog in the store. You would think a pet store would be dog friendly (my dog was not misbehaving at all, he was excited to be in the store, but he wasn’t barking or destroying things)

The vetco clinic here is amazing! We always get in and out quickly and my dog seems to prefer the experience to his regular vet. Highly recommend doing annual shots here, they do so many dogs back to back that they have to be good at it!

It was okay.It is all a pet supply store.No live animals, but they were kind and courteous.And they did have what I was looking for not a large selection but enough for emergencies. Parking is tough best to take a bus train or walk.

I barely come to this store, only from time to time incase i run out of supplies last minute. I usually have a good experience but today grandpa at the counter was a bit of a chatter box. He was being very ignorant and insensitive even racist. First off he was flirting with the girl who was infront telling her too bad she was young she couldnt handle him if he was younger. She said about twice she was 17 and he finally said sorry nothing would ever happen between us to not feel uncomfortable. My turn he embarrassed me because my break out of acne. He tells me to wipe my face thinking it was tooth paste but i had a clear gel for my acne, and tells the whole store that i was on my period. He said sorry under his breath and to brush it off he said an asian joke how they eat cats and dogs. The lady behind wanted to say something about the matter but changed her mind. I didnt know how to feel about it until after i left the store.

This review is for Joe Bennett, one of the dog trainers at Park Slope's Unleashed by Petco. As a first time dog owner, Joe's classes taught me how to work with my pup and helped us establish an even closer bond. Joe clearly loves dogs and helping humans develop a working relationship with their pups. He gives clear actionable instructions and notices details about my cues and movements that I never would have realized without his guidance. I took puppy basics and adult basics with Joe. The classes easily paid for themselves when on a recent hike we encountered a huge timber rattlesnake. When he hissed and rattled, my pup started to run to him. When I yelled "Winston, leave it" he turned and came to me. I have no doubt that all of the practice with the "leave it" cue prevented a bad outcome. Our classes paid for themselves with an avoided bite. Thank you Joe!!

This is a pet supply store and not a pet shop therefore no pets so they have enough space in the small building to stock up on almost every item that your pet could possibly need. The service is good and the people are very polite. They have a very good knowledge of the products that they sell. When my cat was sick and had trouble eating they recommend a diet supplement that made it possible for my cat to eat without throwing up. Overall a great shopping experience.

This place sucks so hard. It used to feel like a smaller, thoughtful pet supply store when it first opened. Then they decided to pivot, fire all the higher paid staff and turn full on big box. Now it’s a generic, bad-service big box store cosplaying as a thoughtful smaller business. They’re always understaffed and the staff that is there is clearly overworked and underpaid because they DGAF about service, efficiency, etc. and they shouldn’t. It’s time to go back to the smaller pet stores in the hood.

Our rescue puppy successfully graduated two training modules and we are looking to continue in the program! The positive reinforcement training was key in building trust and confidence for our shy girl. Genevieve was extra patient with the dogs in our class who required bonus attention. Simultaneously, she took care to ensure we received the dedicated training for our puppy, as she advanced quickly. More importantly, Genevieve trained US to be thoughtful and engaged doggy parents.

I brought my puppy here to get training, the classes are quite affordable and we got good results in terms of basic manner, Joe is very good at what he does. The store has a good selection of treats and food as well and staffs are friendly.

Clean, generally full stocked. The trainers are really nice and patient. There are a lot of dogs going in and out so it may not be the best space of you have a reactive pup.

The place was decently stocked but a friend of mine bought a bag of dog food because they were close by and was going to swing by my place anyway so it seemed convenient and good timing. Turns out the bag of dog food was over 6 months expired. I finally got to the place to exchange it and that was simple enough. Nothing about the awful and potentially harmful mistake of having sold over 6 months passed expiration date dog food. Would have been nice to have been appreciative of my understanding and not being extra dramatic about it. This photo was Jan 24,2022.

Unleashed on 7th ave is our go to store for all of my dog's needs. Everyone on the staff is courteous and friendly to us. There is a large selection of dog supplies that it's easy to pop in or pick up what we need.My dog, Mr. Blue, recently completed the Adult Fundamentals class and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Genevieve is a lovely person and trainer. She carries such patience and passion for what she does. We learned so much in such a short 6 week period. I especially learned how to read Blue's cues better, be patient with him, "give him a break", and acknowledge when he can be pushed a little further. The price/result tradeoff of our training is well worth the investment in time and money (and frankly a much higher value compared to alternative options in the neighborhood).We look forward to returning to another class and continuing to say hello to our neighborhood friends. Work nearby and come here so get food for my cats when im running low, came with a friend this time and the staff from the moment me and my friend entered was watching us and making us feel uncomfortable but i j ignored it because what am i supposed to say , finally went on the line and looking back i can tell you guys were purposely holding up the transaction because next thing i knew , police were there walking straight up to me. I was accused of committing a crime the minute i entered the store. It was embarrassing, it was humiliating and no one even apologized to us, the only kind person that day was the nice man ringing me up, I believe his name was Gio, apologies if im wrong. The cops even apologized when you guys didnt.

I just left this location and could not be happier! I needed help picking out a rain jacket for my puppy and she wasn’t sitting and sniffing all over. One of the sales associates (I didn’t get his name) stood there with me and gave my pup a treat while we tried some on. Thanks so much for your help!

I don’t like the way they talk to people about your pets my daughter dog has anxiety and she bites on her coat so it’s very hard to comb her so we took her there to see if they could’ve taken it out and fixed her matting and all we got was shameful talk telling us what we did wrong what we didn’t do and it was in front of everybody, so my daughter felt embarrassed and I don’t think that’s the way you tell them she’s the first time dog mom so she lets her dog get away with a lot of stuff but it’s because she has like I told you anxiety if you have any problems with dogs don’t do not take them there

Everyone at this location has been friendly, welcoming, and willing to share advice and recommendations. Exceeded my expectations, doesn't feel like a chain. In particular a shout-out to Jay for taking time to explain cat nutrition. I was able to transition my adopted cat to Weruva away from Fancy Feast (junk food) that she'd been eating at her previous home. (This location doesn't even stock Fancy Feast!) They have a very generous return policy for food which is helpful if you are experimenting and trying to find a brand/flavor that your cat will eat. I also love that this location has tables and chairs outside. A cafe vibe!

I just got a new puppy sunday and started to notice he was neglecting his dog food from blue I thought maybe we needed a switch and stopped by this unleashed store this worker jay was very smart he knew the ingredients I wanted to stay away from and recommended the honest kitchen I’m so happy my puppy is eating again. Such kind staff and knowledgeable workers!!
