Warning: Unethical Practices at This Pet StoreI recently visited this pet store and encountered highly concerning practices. Initially, I was quoted $3000 for a 7-month-old dog, which appeared sickly. It's uncommon to find a toy poodle of that age in a pet shop. Upon calling back later, I was shocked to learn that the price had suddenly increased to $3500.When I questioned the reason for the price hike, I was put on hold, likely to fabricate an explanation. Upon return, I was told the price increase was due to the dog not exceeding 5 pounds, a nonsensical justification.Beware of this scammy pet store and their unethical tactics. Buyers, beware!

Don’t buy a puppy from here ! They are scammers and they price on the website is different then the store . They will advertise a puppy for 1k and at the store they will ask 2500 k for the same puppy . That’s illegal. I don’t understand how they get away with this . They will give you a price online and then when you go buy the puppy they will tell you the price online is wrong and give you some sob story

Got my beautiful Alaskan Klee Kai here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My puppy seems to have been taken good care of and is super friendly and very healthy. I highly recommend puppy paradise....Update .... a few months later and she is still awesome.

Bought my Havashu from here. Her name is Peanut. “Pea” for short and SHES the most cutest wonderful dog ever. She was caged in there for over 6 months so I love the fact that they never give up on their dogs to find a home. Thank you Puppy Paradise for our new family match.

Bought an Alaskan Klee Kai from them in 2020. The love of my life! 🐶 Staff very sweet and informative. Puppy was up to date on vaccines. He had worms, but I think all puppies have worms at the pet store. He’s 2 years old now. Very active, and a heathy boy. Very strong personality but that’s the husky in him. This is the only pet store in NYC that has Klee Kais. Will 100% get more dogs/Klee Kais in the future.

I brought a puppy from them at FULL price to find out the puppy has ABNORMALITIES ON BOTH her legs. The woman who sold me the dog didn’t know what she was doing and sold me a dog that THEIR VET DEEMED NOT FIT FOR SALEEEEE A MONTH BEFORE I purchased her. NOW I’m getting the run around and have to make difficult decisions especially because we got attached to her. But I also don’t have $8000-$10000 to help her with the surgery she needs.

We got a shiba inu from puppy paradise during thanksgiving, it’s a super cute and healthy puppy. I believe puppy paradise took care of our dog carefully before. I recommend this place, though the price is a little pricey (I think because of pandemic period, demand is high now). The puppy comes from everything, include microchips, license and certificate. They gave a free body check up and a free grooming.

I got my fur baby Natsu at puppy paradise and I love him. My husband hate dogs and surprisingly he fell in love with natsu. At first I was skeptical when I read some of the bad reviews,but thank God I didn't let those negative reviews sway me the wrong way. I also didn't want to leave a review until my pup saw the vet, he went to the vet yesterday and apart from a little yeast infection in the ear, which by the way is quite normal in dogs, he is just a happy, healthy puppy. Thank you puppy 🐶 paradise for the newest addition to my family 🐕👪❤

They are so helpful, kind, and professional. The puppies are checked before you take them home, and they are chipped. I've gotten 2 beautiful teddy bear puppies from here.

Fell in love with my fur baby Pumpkin and can't see my life without her in my family. Pumpkin came home 12/24/2020, I'm a single parent and had to work crazy overtime to get her. She was 2 lbs and is at 3.75lbs now. I have Lemonade pet insurance, set up a sitter nearby and life is wonderful for her. She had a bit of diarrhea, she ate much less and all the things that were explained to me. I in turn, followed every instruction given to me and even called one of the workers when I was concerned at 3 a.m. one night when I thought I did something wrong. I composed myself and stayed up all night attending to her the way I would my child. I hung in there and re-read the instructions, and found my own Veterinarian. She has kennel cough and a few other things which our Vet is taking care of for us to bring her back to 100 percent. I was told, Puppy Paradise, about every precaution and things which will realistically happen. I see reviews about kennel cough, can we be real, our pets can't talk to tell us how they feel, all the precautions at the pet store still could not prevent things that will happen. Many people handle the sweet fur babies before purchase. I saw it in person and then there's Covid-19. I wondered to myself, why are they extremely thorough at this place, now I see why. I am a huge supporter of the many animal rescues, who made it extremely difficult to share my home and give love to a sweet fur baby. They push this negative narrative about purchasing a fur baby at a pet store and all the various atrocities they go through. Yes, there are people who breed them for financial gain and nothing else, but you have to put that aside and make a commitment. If you have apprehension, don't purchase a fur baby and then abandon them by returning them, its not kool. Overall having a fur baby is a huge responsibility out the gate and a huge financial one at that. All in all please take the time, face all the unexpected things in the 1st few weeks and have some patience. I don't know or have personal connections with anyone at puppy paradise. I used common sense and my concern was to care for our new fur baby no matter what I found out, what the cost were from the vet rather than taking her back and getting upset. I have a different prospective about my expectation and experience. She is a gift to my daughter and its seems like she is more of and about me. I love this sweet face and will handlevwhatever comes. If you care about puppies this owner is not for you. He will drive the puppies all the way to your teacher appreciation event, just to take them away.Long story short for teacher appreciation week, I was implicit that their check was in the mail and that there would NOT be a check before or AT day of event. He told me “that’s fine! Of course we wouldn’t take the puppies away day of.” I have a string of emails if potential customers would like proof.His apprentice arrived day of, showed all the staff and kids the puppies… just to become agitated that he didn’t have a check. So agitated that he repeated “no we’re taking the puppies I told you it needed to be paid!!”. When I told him to check his emails he basically denied me and told me “no puppies for you”.It took an hour of his throwing a tantrum for him to provide us another payment option. He then charged us for the hour his staff was there because he wasn’t at all concerned with helping us find another payment option. He was more concerned about yelling and saying “I told you” than helping us find a solution to HIM not keeping his words. It was very very clear he has done this before.He wasn’t at all concerned about a cute day full or serotonin to support teachers. He was concerned about upcharging guests and screaming on the phone. Extremely sexist. Truly sad that this seemed normal to him.Get puppies from a more caring person for your party. We were basically guilt tripped into paying with a card.

Please do not take your dog here. My puppy had a grooming appointment scheduled for 12pm today. She wasn’t finished until 7pm. The store closes at 7pm. I received no communication that they were overbooked or extremely busy for the day. I called 3 times, and got different stories each time. At that point, I went to get my dog, and explained to them that I should not have to pay full price for the service because it was not my fault that they were overbooked, and also not my fault that they did not communicate anything with me at all just for proper professionalism. At that point, they proceeded to argue with me, and brought my dog back to the back of the store and pretty much held her hostage until I paid full with no accommodation. One of the employees asked me if I thought my dog was going to die or something while she was there for all of those hours, which was VERY unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone at all.

Adopt don’t shop. 2024 the Puppy Mill Pipeline Act takes into effect. With so many good animals in need of rescue, there is no need for puppy mills that abuse animals to supply pet stores. I hope this place offers rescue animals only.

This isn’t just a review, this is a thank you note! Puppy Paradise is the best. I know during these pandemic times, supply and demand on puppies have skyrocketed and prices would need to increase. Totally understandable business model. But other than that, you won’t be disappointed with the customer service and convenience this team brings to you. Omar was amazing, he helped and guided me through the whole process; even during a small tough decision. And the store team have handled things so well. Guided through the process taking care of the puppies from day 1. They are awesome and kind. They love their jobs and know what they’re talking about. Highly recommend! Thank you guys !

I wish there was a 0 star. Absolutely the worst place to get any services done. I Took my puppy to get a trim and they balded him. Hire people who actually know how to work with animals and acknowledge the owners wishes!!!

Just got my 4-month old Maltichon from them. It was a reasonable price for the breed, which was by far much more affordable for a puppy store in Brooklyn. They had many more puppies at various prices, but I was on a budget. The salesperson that assisted me took his time to explain all the details and maintainace for my new puppy. I would recommend to others.

Before going to puppy paradise we did a lot of searching online for puppies. After running into scammers we decided to go to actual pet shops. Puppy paradise was the first and actual only pet shop we got to go to that day. We did read reviews on this place before going and just like everything there was negative reviews that were concerning. My husband and I are well aware that some negative reviews are left by people who you can not please at all so we decided to go see for ourselves.On January January 22, 2021 we went into Puppy Paradise just to look at what puppies they had available and for the price ranges. The workers there were very friendly and knowledgeable about the puppies they had there which made it so much more easier. I was able to hold and play with a few puppies before find my perfect fur baby. We were told to take him to the vet for a check up to be cleared just like other pet shops do as well. Aside from a little stomach bug that he had, our Kobe is perfect!Thank You Puppy Paradise for helping us find our little Kobe. We are very pleased with our purchase and our experience here at puppy paradise. To anyone looking to buy a puppy please don't always go based off the negative reviews. Go see in person for yourself and then make a judgement. If we followed those negative reviews we wouldn't of had found our little fur baby.

I am in love with this place! It was super easy to call and make an appointment to pick up my morkie puppy! Although I ran super late they still held my dog for me and let me hold a few of the other Morkies!! Once decided on a pup, we payed (they have some of the best prices for dogs I’ve seen thus far!) and went through some paperwork and we were on our way! The customer service is amazing and so is the atmosphere! I can tell they take care of their dogs! They’ve made a happy first time fur mom! 🤣

Ive gotten both my dogs from puppy paradise and they relatively healthy now after $1,000 of dollars of medical treatment. I went there one day to groom my younger dog who is now 1 and they pulled her leg very aggressively which caused her to have her joint become detached. $1700 in surgery. This isn’t the place to go all the dogs are sick and not taken cared of, the adoption papers that claim this is where they came from forged and fake most likely too like how mine were.overall worst puppy store in Brooklyn if I could give zero stars I would

I came here to buy a puppy for my daughter, and had to bring him back the very next day. What a mistake-the poor dog had what I suspect was kennel cough (the dog started coughing the night I brought him home, and was sneezing). I have an elderly dog at home and I didn’t want to run the risk. We were very upset, especially after dishing out 3600 for the puppy. We ended up choosing to return the puppy because we were very upset that they sold us a sick dog. We weren’t originally going to buy from a pet shop, but when I saw the puppy I couldn’t resist. They offered to keep the puppy until it got better, but that’s not the point. The point is that they had the audacity to sell me a sick dog. Not to mention that the staff was talking about me when I came into the store to get my return, how embarrassing for them. Obviously if a dog has kennel cough that should tell you about the cleanliness of the store. Get from a breeder it’s way cheaper and your dog will be healthy.

Although I wasn’t able to purchase a puppy due to my card having transaction limit (I didn’t know about😩) I went here and the person that worked here was helpful and very honest about everything on the dog I wanted to purchase. She brought the puppy out and explained everything before purchasing which is great for a first time owner. Store got busy but it’s honestly understandable. I asked if she can hold the puppy for me but I got called to work(Upstate) so my puppy would probably be gone by the time I come back. Plus I didn't leave a deposit... Sorry for the waste of time but great place. Please don't be afraid to ask questions.

Omg so rude ! I would never want anyone to experience the rudeness we received here. My Aunt went to purchase a new pup from them because we got our first pup from here. We were so excited hoping we would leave out with a new puppy. No It’s under new management now and the owner wife was so rude I couldn’t believe it ! Imagine going into a store to spend thousands of dollars and the staff completely blows you off it was such a bad experience! I’m still in shock. I’m completely flabbergasted.

Customer service was amazing , Got my Bichon frise here. I was quite nervous but Omar made it comforting from start to finishing. It was also a pleasure to meet the staff, they were professional and taught me a lot on caring for my puppy. I would recommend puppy paradise in finding your puppy. Thank you Omar you are the best. Love my puppy to the moon and back.

I brought my Yorkie for grooming. My appt was 11:30am. I got there at 11:25am. I showed pictures of how i wanted her to look. At 4:00pm i called to see if she was ready. The person said not yet she is 10th and they are now on the 8th puppy. At 5:55pm they call to tell me my puppy is ready. Upon arrival my princess was very unhappy. They had her cage for all these hours, no food. My princess is not use to being cage. When i got her in the car she was scratching for her water bottle. She drank so much water which means they did not even give her water. My puppy is 3 pounds. This is unacceptable. The hair cut was poor. And she stink. I had to bathe her when i got in. It is unacceptable to keep a puppy caged up for 6 and half hours. This just tells me it is all about the money as many dogs that comes in they will take. If my appt is 11:30am my puppy should be seen within 2 or 3 hours not in almost 7 and with no food or water. I returned the flowing day after calling and complaining about my babies butched hair cut and a full refund was offered to me. I am thankful they did something to correct the errors
