I visited Pigeons on Broadway to get my first bird! I’ve wanted a bird since I was in elementary. Lisa is so helpful; To say she made this new experience special for me is an understatement. She was happy to answer all my questions, even when I ringed her from home the same day I got her!As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with an array of birds. All the staff were friendly; A few of the customers and I all shared our love for animals with one another!!I caught eyes with this little one, isn’t she something?? Gorgeous, healthy little bird! I was leaning towards getting a male, but as soon as we locked eyes I knew she was mine.Lisa is the glue that holds this place together: Friendly, Funny & Factual. This review is my personal ‘Thank you’ note.If you’re thinking about adopting your FIRST bird, I vote Pigeons on Broadway as your next stop!

Love this place. So many beautiful birds. We came to talk about a pigeon we recently rescued and Lisa and Mike were incredibly generous with their time and lovely to talk with. Thank you. We appreciate you.Our bird Frankie loves the food.See ya soon.

Lovely pet shop, friendly staff, grateful to have it nearby. Variety of pet supplies, and some sweet chatty birds in the back. 5 steps closer to adopting a bird in my future, I’d say. The bird in photo says hello!

Lots of beautiful birds I want to save them all if I could 💛 they could be a little better kept than what I seen. Cage cleanliness bird health is very low. Lots of big cages I would suggest separating them. I noticed the orange birds were very territorial they were pecking each other to death. Most of their feathers are missing. Selling a bird in poor condition with feces in their bowls no clean water at all. I'm not sure how some of them are even surviving at this point. I didn't even get a chance to view the pigeons in the back. They have a few cats. My suggestion is don't bring your dog on this block the cats will chase & attack I've watched 2 dogs get attacked while being in the store.

Still my number 1 pet store. .....Love the customer service you receive here. They always have my dog food brand. Best part of each visit the birds and super friendly cats.

Great spot my dad brought me here he loves it and when pops loves a spot it means it’s good. Even better my friends store was across the street they knew each other I felt so comfortable def will be taking trips again. The staff here was amazing felt like a child growing up in a real Brooklyn area.

Hi I go to this petshop very often to see what kind of pigeons they have and I've often bought some. They are in very poor conditions. I've had several died on me only a couple of days of buying them. I went back and complained. Their answer is that my coop has a disease. " Yeah right ". I have 20 beautiful pigeons. Anyway I no longer will buy anything in their store ever again. They very poor customer service relationship. Their prices are outrageous. I asked how much was it for a regular white pigeon. $40 was the price. Call them and ask them on the phone how much are their white pigeons. See what they say." Never again "....

The woman who runs this place is the best. I forgot her name (sorry!), but she sold us 2 beautiful finches a few weeks ago, and they are just the sweetest little birdies. They have all sorts of other cool birds from parakeets to little red and yellow birds (kinda like finches, but i'm not totally sure). Anywhoozle, this place is great, check it out if you want a bird or need food for your bird or cat. I don't remember a whole bunch of dog stuff.

Nice selection of pigeons and pet supplies. Probably the only place in the city that sells fancy breeds. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's just getting into pigeons. The lady there is very nice and full of information. Best believe I'm coming back and buying a couple birds, especially that pair of giant white Homer's 😉

Would give 0 stars if I could! The owner sold me a cage under false pretenses (mentioned he had new + used cages, but failed to tell me that my cage was used), and for $10 more expensive than he sold it to someone else. When I came back he got very aggressive with me and raised his voice then told me he was leaving.

Pigeons On Broadway is an old school, bare boned New York institution, and is nothing if not earnest and transparently what it is: a pet supplies store with birds. I wouldn’t change a thing, and I encourage those New Yorkers looking for a more “chic” pet supplies store to set aside their pretensions, and appreciate the old New York atmosphere of this pillar of the local pet-owning community. ***For the linguists without pets, I recommend you go regardless, as you’ll be able to appreciate some of the thickest New York accents this side of the J line. Five stars.

This is the bird shop that I go to all the time. The people there feel like family and I got 2 lovebirds back in 2020 and a cockatiel earlier 2022. Good store!

They're a bird supply store first. But they have some birds in the back..They're selection Isn't extensive, but the birds they had looked healthy. So that's a plus, but I wanted their wings clipped, and there is apparently only one person there that does that, Which is sad. Especially when you're spending so much.

We've bought three tags from Pigeons on Broadway-- two for dogs that have passed away, and one for our new pup. We would give them more business, but their tags last a lifetime. Even after years of use, the print is still clear and easy to read.

My cat has a UTI at the moment and while they don’t carry the food he needs, the lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. Will certainly be visiting for other supplies in the future to help support local independent stores!

We drove to Brooklyn to purchase a pigeon for my daughter. it was worth the drive, there were so many options to choose from & they also sell food for the animals. The staff was very knowledgeable.
