I live around the corner and if l walk near the store I'm being dragged into the store. According to my dog he enjoys the store. I appreciate how organize the store is and how knowledgeable the workers are.

Helpful and friendly staff at the Flatbush branch of Petland Discount have helped me a lot when I was shopping for fish tank equipment. All the live fish are upstairs ( they have two floors) . However were somewhat limited in the type of supplies and equipment I was looking for. Also I wished they had put all their aquarium related products in one place, that is 2nd floor so you didnt have to go up and down the stairs looking and comparing products.But as I said the friendly and hard working staff there make it a very good pet supply store. Would shop there again for sure.

Convenient location. Moderate selection of dog food and treats but keep an open mind because brands are limited. Staff is friendly but always seem slightly overwhelmed. Popular for fish and aquarium needs.

Very helpful staff. They took the painstaking task of bagging my 20 goldfish individually that I wanted for my daughters birthday party. I'll be back to get more fish and supplies for sure!

I'm really not sure if managers or owners ever read these reviews, but if they do, this is for you: STOCK YOUR MERCHANDISE. This is a nice store, and frankly the only real decent local place to go for pet supplies other than dog biscuits, but they NEVER have what I need. I've been there multiple times, and every time the shelf is empty. It's always 'it's coming in tomorrow', or 'we're expecting a shipment soon'. Managers: your #1 job in order to keep your business afloat (business school 101?) is to have your marchandise in stock. enough said.

Cashier had hood jamaican friends hang out by the register; they thought I wasn't hearing them when they were verbally abusing me.. THE STORE : 5 Stars for being clean and always find the right product needed with the occasional crickets hoping near your feet. 😨Needs to up it's security and re-educate it's employees about stepping up for people who can't fend for themselves.. Not asking that you get physically involved but if they are just going to stand there and call out the customers just trying to get over with their day, you could at least step up and tell them to LEAVE before things escalate.. I been going to the store ever since they put it there, now I never ever go back because of this incident..

I don't know if this place has changed management recently, but I would have to disagree with other reviewers. The staff here have been nothing but friendly and helpful to me and my girlfriend since we acquired a lizard by accident. They helped guide us through making a habitat for our new found friend and have gone beyond the call of duty when I screwed up and bought the wrong thing. As for the living conditions of the animals they were selling here, I'm not an expert but they all seemed to be doing as well as animals in captivity do. Animals living in a pet store is just a sad state of affairs any way you cut it. I'm also not sure what about this store would be considered 'ghetto'. I wouldn't describe my neighborhood as a ghetto and I've lived in a few.

I like petland better than petco so I come here. everything is clean and in stock so I am happy. they are good if you have a simple question but you can't come here expecting to get knowledge about your dog's problems. I mean they are a discount pet store so what do you expect? Anyways I like them and im glad there is a petland here.

i know Petland Discounts doesn't care about a pet's live, but few months ago i come face to face with the problem when customers and their pets where kick out of the store in 90 degree weather to wait for the vet, because the manager and his staff wouldn't handle a simple crowd. i confronted him about kicking the pets out in the heat and he told me his District Manager tells him to do that.REALLY PETLAND OR IS IT SLAUGHERLAND

So long petland. After years of being around March 19th was the last day for out beloved petland due to the owner passing away. All petland locations all over the U.S. are now closed to my knowledge hopefully someone takes on the previous owners debt and brings the store back to life.

This is one of worst pet stores EVER!!!!! I went there today to get some food and i looked at the cages were dirty urine and poo every where......The hamster were in poor conditions from fight wounds,Wet Tail......Every Pet was in bad conditions........I rather get any pet at petco and petsmart at least they treat there animals better......... Never buy a pet from Petland or Petland discount EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Petshop. Sells birds, geckos, hermit crabs, fish, turtles and related supplies. Also sells supplies for dogs and cats. Wide selection of aquariums. 10 gallon tanks without a lid start at $10, less than when I was a kid.

People are very nice, however, I made a return a week ago and my money still has not been refunded to me. Tried calling them multiple times in the past few days, nobody answers. Horrible customer service if you can't even pick up a phone. Very disappointed.

Closed... this is the third time it's happened. Google has hours open until 8pm.. its 1:30pm on a weekday,yet the gate is down and employees are nowhere to be seen.
