The service is great, that is five star! Everyone is very helpful. However, I felt there is not enough helper at this location. Felt like one person has to do two person job and they are stretch thin. Not sure if it's the actual case, I could be wrong. Would be great if they have more help, that's for sure.

This store really has great food, treats, toys, and beds for pets, But I recommend selling stuff for little puppies because my dog is only 4 months old and the only thing I see is food for older dogs than my dog so please :3

A million thanks to the store manager Britney! We just got our foster dog today and needed to get some stuff. We were having some difficulties due to the dog being overly excited. Britney treated us and our dog with so much kindness and helped us to find the right harness and other supplies. I also stopped by the store another time before and the cashier was so knowledgeable when I asked him questions regarding some products. Thank you so much!!

They didn't have as wide variety of products as the sheepshead bay one, but I find the employees much friendlier and kinder here. Good experience away from the redness and disrespect of the other chain location.Also have a big parking lot and vet location if needed.

I had a grooming appointment for my dog at 8:30AM on a Saturday. We got here and Petco was not open yet. The groomers were waiting for the manager who has not shown up. It is now 9:52AM and it is still closed.. The employees themselves stopped waiting since nobody was there to open the door.Please fire the manager or person responsible for store opening.

It was a good experience, they are professional and treat their customers with respect. Theresa was very helpful, the vet handled our dog with love. The tech was very sweet. We bought some things for Jax.

This Petco location is amazing! It's not too big where it's chaotic and hard to find what you want but not too small where they don't have what you need. I've been coming here for all my supplies and the staff are amazing here

Yes, this is a chain. However, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have an easy and easy out pick up option. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help. Everything is very easy to find. I definitely appreciate the folks there.

Slow cashier needs to be fired! I have been waiting for 20 minutes just for 1 person to be checked out. They need trained staff! Unacceptable.

Disgusting store. Went in to get a litter mat and literally found three mats with dried poop on them. Cat beds were in horrible used condition and with what appeared to be insects or bedbugs. I was in desperate need of a litter box but if I had other choices near by, I wouldn't had purchased anything from this store. I literally had to wash my coat when I got home because I grabbed the filthy mats with my bare hands and held it near my coat.

Original review from first trip back in October. Literally no reason to shop here as a cat owner. The store looks big on the outside, but it has an incredibly stupid layout. There were lots of weird slip hazards like broken signage everywhere which was great for my husband who uses a cane. The cat section is very small and they had zero catnip other than the little viles included in some of the toys. The cat food had two choices for the half portion size of the Blue Buffalo wet food, and since we only have one cat the full size cans are too big. And there are zero full time cashiers it seems as it took a very long time to check out with only one person ahead of us. Incredibly disappointed. Maybe good for dogs, I don't know.Edit from March: I had my husband go back to check for wet food. I decided to maybe give them another chance. Of course the brand we switched to was out of stock while a pallet of wrapped stock was on the floor. I get that it's probably not the workers fault that the company won't staff enough people to get stock on shelves in time. But I won't be giving this store a third chance. Sounds like the problem is management and possibly PetCo itself for being too greedy to hire enough staff. Once all the old people who aren't comfortable shopping online pass away this store is probably going to shut down since there's no point in shopping in person if it's not reliably stocked in any way.

Is this place going out of business, walked in there today. Very dimmly lit , floors were filthy and the whole store smelled. Shelves were low on items. More so in the reptile area. Was there a few months back and a worker told me they don't keep certain items cause of theft.. but what's the excuse for the why the rest of the store looked today.

Never had any issues in purchasing rabbit food. They do the price match on the petco website and give you the online prices which is aways cheaper. Yes you can aways order for pick up.

3 stars is probably a lot more than the store deserves. Even though personnel is very nice and attending, knowledgeable and willing to help; it's still not enough. Without the staff's attempts to better the experience of being in that store I would give one star.On the day of delivery of merchandise, shelf look like it was raided by TWD char garters

Really well stocked and the workers there are really knowledgeable. The store is usually busy but they do keep the line at the register moving along. The manager is very hands on and accessible to answer any questions..

I have been here many times for goldfish stuff but unfortunately I won then from a feast so they didn't last. However I came in tonight for a beta fish and the representative Sara was delightful and very helpful and informative to me my wife and 6yr old daughter. She gave us a very pleasant experience, one I never had in this location before, she makes me want to go back. I ended up buying a beta fish and we are very happy with the food and water conditioner Sara gave us. Honestly she should be a manager, We didn't even have to ask her for help, she just came over and asked if we needed it. If anyone goes to this location just go to Sara, trust me you won't be disappointed.

I wish Petco would have more of my ,pets favorite foods, he is a teacup yorkie,he loves the whole hearted, chicken only, but when I happen to go there they mostly have only chicken and duck mixed together.

I made an order for a stray kitten I found and I placed an order for same day delivery.... I work from home and my break's only 30 mins and is literally the amount of time it'd take to get there... there's no other place close to me that I trust so I place the order for kitten food, a nice little hidey-hole, a little toy & scratch post... they cancel my order; I call customer service only to find that the store provided no reason for why it's canceled. I have to wait 24 hrs for someone to follow up with me about WHY this happened. To me that's just insane. Had I not had the inkling to check my account to see how far along things were, I'd never had known and I'd be waiting 4-6pm for nothing to show up (since i work until much later). My feedback: please be more professional in your execution, petco. I really appreciate my experiences with you guys overall and I'm gonna assume someone just dropped the ball this time because this never happened to me.Edit: this wasn't a $20 order. It was $120, FYI.

A Bensonhurst staple with room for improvement.This pet store has been a fixture in Bensonhurst for as long as I can remember. It's a one-stop shop for all your pet's needs, from food and supplements to toys and medical supplies. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they're always happy to help you find what you're looking for.The store is well-organized and easy to navigate, with plenty of space to browse. The prices are competitive, and there are always sales and promotions going on.The only downside to this store is the checkout process. The lines can get long, especially on weekends, and there is usually only one cashier working. This can be frustrating, especially if you're in a hurry.Overall, this is a great pet store with a wide selection of products and helpful staff. However, the checkout process could be improved.Recommendations:* Add more cashiers to reduce wait times at checkout.* Implement a self-checkout system.

This is probably one of the worst petco’s I’ve ever been in. It is very outdated, they never have anything in stock, the staff is very unhelpful, there’s always a long line with only one cash register open, and what’s worse is now that there accepting Amazon returns it’s always a long wait because we have to wait on one cashier to handle the sales and returns. Then they wonder why people would rather shop online.

If the staff wasn't so friendly, I would have given a lower score. I couldn't get past the smell as I walked in the door. Fish selection is poor. The isles are oddly configured compared to other stores.
