I took my dog for a grooming session at this location and I don’t know what happened but the aftermath was not so great . My dog has never had issues getting groomed before, so I wanted to give this location a try and the price was over charged ($140) for literally just shaving my whole dog bald. Now I am aware my dog had some knots in his fur but even his shaving was uneven, but the worst part was that my dog had scrapes & cuts throughout some parts of his body.

Good selection of everything I need for my new cat- food, toys, accessories. Look for the signs for location, most things are upstairs and this store is quite large. It took me a while to find all my items. Oh, and grab a basket as soon as you walk in, you'll start shopping for things you didn't know you needed or wanted for you pet. Easy checkout.

I would like to highly compliment and thank the medical team located at Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The dog I am fostering is going to Canada soon, had a serious ear infection, and needed to be vaccinated against rabies. I made appointment just for rabies, so they didn't need to be treated for ear infections. But after checking the dog's condition, they treated her with all their sincerity. And a member of the medical team (she was a black girl and super sweet; sorry I don't know her name...) told me in detail about the subsequent treatment. I am very grateful to her, and I would also like to express gratitude to the doctor who treated my dog. Thank you so much.

The gentleman by the name of Jose Garcia is a stellar employee. He's very knowledgeable when it comes down to bearded dragons he answered all my questions he was very professional kind and courteous. And an incredible multitasker as well he also helped out other customers and also made others feel welcomed and not ignored.

We tried to take our dog here for grooming. He had a 10am appointment and we decided to stay in store and wait because it was really just a bath and nail trim. About 45 mins in we asked how he was doing and they said they were working on him and he was doing great. About 30 minutes after that we overheard them talking and they hadn't even started on him. They finished a few dogs who came in after us and were calling their owners to pick them up. We just had them bring him out so we could leave. Such a waste of our time. The staff seemed to not really care that our dog had been sitting in a crate for over an hour for literally no reason. They said they're used to people just dropping off and coming back a few hours later but they literally saw us standing there the whole time and we told them this was our first ever grooming appointment with our new dog. Will never go back there again.

Took my 75lb almost 10mo great pyrenees mix to get groomed here. Got the basic bath, nail clipping, etc. He came back looking magnificent and fluffy and soft. The groomers there are super nice, and I could tell they loved dogs. They did a great job. The price seemed good compared to other places in the area. I will definitely be back! Very pleased.

Don’t go this place!!!!We were on the Brooklyn Sunset Park location andthey cut my dog while grooming her and didn’t even update me that something happened!!!!I was find out at home!Terrible place!

I went to petco for pictures with Santa. While there I purchased feeder insects for my lizards and a few $.49 fish for my classroom. I had a wonderful conversation with the vet staff regarding the virus that is affecting dogs currently. The staff love the animals who come to visit the store

One of the most well stocked, organized and clean Petco's I've visited. The staff is very willing to aid your pet's needs. They answer the phone and check inventory, and will actually put aside the correct product. Chris mans the register and the floor, and is quick to retrieve a product even if it's on the second floor. Every customer is treated like a VIP.

Staff is helpful, and place is nice.Be aware they only carry the good quality options, so if ur looking for the cheap stuff it's not hereThey don't carry friskies or meow mix, bur the quality of the catnip that buy here is awesome.Always fresh and my cats go wild

I recently had a grooming session for my dog at Petco in sunset park, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I specifically told them what I wanted for my dog's grooming, but it seems like they couldn't be bothered to listen.Instead of following my instructions, they shaved my dog's hair off, and now it looks nothing like what I asked for. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place if you actually care about how your pet is treated during grooming.I am disappointed with the lack of attention to customer preferences and the overall disregard for my pet's well-being during the grooming process. I cannot recommend this grooming service based on my negative experience.

I brought my cat in for general check and vaccinations. People at Vetco were nice. Then I decided to look around in the store and wanted to purchase some items. There was nobody at the register so I walked around and found an associate (Diamondlee). I asked her if she can help me check out. She looked at me like I was asking her for too much lol. Then she came over and helped me checked out but she had an upset face, she didn’t even reply to my “thank you”. So don’t expect any kind of customer service from here, just order online. :)

Do not schedule for vetco between 12:25-1:30 because that's their lunch break. You will be stuck waiting an hour or have to reschedule. I waited an hour although they were all nice it was inconvenient because I was on time just to be told my dog couldn't be seen till they got back.

I just want to put this in the beginning, I do not purchase animals from big pet stores like this. It's just a personal preference, so this review has zero to do with the animals sold here. For those wondering though, they do sell fish, small birds, hamsters, mice and rats (small selections)I have purchased pet products here and haven't had any issues with anything. The store itself is organized and clean, while the employees are friendly and helpful. They also have a pretty decent selection of dog/cat products. The store does sell reptile items and birds supplies but at a limited quantity. I have also seen some cats up for adoption in the store at one time so that's great!

Very large store. Two floors. Self wash for dogs $15. All your pet needs in one place. 45 minute parking right in front of the store. Dog grooming and training is available on site. Staff is really friendly.

The girl with glasses with tattooed eyebrows her name is Julia and another person told me that she is the manager, she "helped" me with 4 mice, I want to make it very clear that she has the worst attitude that a person can have in customer service, she scolded me because I asked her for a second box and she was arrogant and poorly educated. Petco definitely have to find BETTER PEOPLE..

Best service around. Two floors of only the best products for your pets. I love ❤ it! The second floor has budgies, fish, lizards and other pets for sell. They also have a dog clinic.

Yesterday I went over to buy a bird when I was choosing when a Hispanic father and daughter came over and they also came to choose. But I asked the employee first that I wanted to buy a bird, and when another employee came, I was on the left and the father and daughter were on the right and the clerk came from the right, and the father and daughter said they wanted the bird that I had chosen. So I said, "But I told the lady I wanted to buy the bird first, and the employee asked me if I had a membership or an account. I said no. Then she ignored me. She started to help the father and daughter catch the bird. I asked this lady. I said I told another lady to buy the bird first, after u came you're going to give them this white and blue bird? She said yes. I was speechless and I was very angry, but I didn't ask why. Then I left with my friend. The experience was very bad. Isn't it the priority of whoever says buy first? Really angry! The employee had long curly hair and was probably Hispanic too I'm not sure.

They put 5 dollar parking for 45 minutes outfront! I know it is not petcos fault but it makes visiting that area less desirable now.That petco location is my partners favorite location.The doggy haircuts are nice.
