Brian, the owner of Acme, is extremely knowledgeable. We were struggling with our dog's gastrointestinal distress for weeks, including multiple wakings to go out every night. The vet wanted to conduct a bunch of expensive tests, but Brian recommended a particular brand of kibble (Diamond Care) that he swore by. We tried it, and the problem cleared up almost immediately. Within 2-3 days, our dog was back to normal. You will never get that kind of advice from a corporate chain with minimum-wage employees, or from an anonymous online conglomerate. Everyone at Acme is friendly and attentive, and they have or will order anything you want or need. It's the kind of small, old-fashioned neighborhood business that really makes a difference.

I've been a regular customer for about four years. The store footprint is tiny, almost a hole in the wall. Yet their selection of wet and dry cat food for my 20 year old cat is vast and far larger than the typical Petco selection. Service is friendly and attentive. Pet owners should keep this store on their list. I have bought the higher end Weruba brand cat food for my cat.

Walk in with my dog , to pick up water bowl and food . And I simply ask the cashier ,if she could recommend a place where I can get a dog ..and basically answered me in a rude way..I only ask because I know to this business has seen a lot of pets and was hoping she could help in anyway ..I wouldn't go back ,simply no customer service
