Easily my favorite pet store that I’ve ever visited. I wanted to buy everything!Love Thy Beast has the most aesthetic collection of toys, puzzles, and accessories for both dogs and cats. I often find that boutique pet shops cater to a certain size or play style of dog; but that was not the case here. There were plenty of durable treat puzzles, tug of war toys, and indestructible squeaky toys for my 60 lb. pittie and likewise for plush, easy-to-destroy toys for smaller breeds. Best of all? Everything was in the most beautiful array of colors. From collars to jackets to treats, Love Thy Beast truly had it all.I had to show some major self control only purchasing one item, but I will most certainly be back with my dog in tow for more fun things soon!

I have what one may call an obsession with Love Thy Beast. I live in the San Francisco area and visit New York frequently, with my French Bulldog tagging along. We are fortunate to stay in the East Village during our visits and were thrilled when we discovered the shop was a short walk from our hotel.I had initially learned of the brand via a friend and purchased a bag for subway and taxi transportation purposes, we were immediately hooked! We eventually started adding coats for our chilly NYC visits, along with hoodies, and sweaters. We may literally own one of everything. In addition to some traditional dog toys, the owner has designed some of her own that are sturdy, cute, and made by women in Nepal! We add one to our collection every time we visit.In addition to top of the line bags and dog clothes, the store also carries dog food and treats with quality ingredients for your beloved four legged friend.And also very important... the customer service is always wonderful. The staff is a delight and they remember us every time we stop in... did I mention I live in the other side of the country? As all the products are very high quality, we now order online between visits to the Big Apple. I cannot rave enough about our favorite pet boutique on the planet!

I’ve been coming here for 2 years since the east village location. Today I dropped by on my dogs walk and saw a trash can in there so I put her poop bag in there. As I was browsing the store the person working there told me that I need to take the poop bag out because it was going to “sit there all day” (her words). Like she expected me to fish it out, and throw it elsewhere. I get that not everyone wants poop bags in their trash but you’re a pet store and the trash can was full to the brim so wouldn’t it be taken out soon? And if it’s already in there and I made a mistake that’s fine and I won’t do it again but I can’t believe she asked me to fish it out. She tried to make it better by telling me she’ll get a new bag for it but that doesn’t make it better lol. Don’t think I’m going to come back here anymore.EDIT to the reply: It’s fine that poop bags aren’t allowed there but the attitude of the employee telling me to fish the bag out of the trash was inappropriate. Also the trash can that day wasn’t even behind the counter, but next to it, so that’s a lie too. So yes I think you do deserve a one star review. Read the other low ratings here and they all have the same thing in common - terrible customer service.

Love that Beast is the best local dog shop in the East Village! They have unique locally crafted items to fit your special pup. Audrey is super helpful and helped us find the right products in the right colors for our pup. Check out our handsome Hunter in his new winter coat!

I found this store as I was walking my dog and fell in love!! LOVE their sweaters. Bought two sets for the winter and will definitely be coming back! I have my eye on the tote bags — they’re such good quality and they have different sizes so medium pups can fit, too!

Love Thy Beast is my absolute go-to for supplies for my mini goldendoodle! And the owner is fantastic- she has incredible instincts for sizes and picks the most adorable clothing items. I’ve purchased 3 different coats/sweaters from here without my dog present and they have been spot on every time! Highly recommend.

My first experience with them was online, when I bought a perfect canvas carrier tote. This was the only carrier bag that could fit my 23lbs boston terrier for subway trips. We love it. They just opened up in the East Village and I'm beyond excited. The store is beautiful the owner and the sales girl are a delight. They were extremely loving to my girl and the selection is to die for. So happy to be in the neighborhood.

LOVELY dog shop! The people working here clearly adore dogs and customer service is always impeccable. Treats and snacks are always healthy and good quality. They have adorable (if somewhat expensive) toys that are mostly for smaller dogs. It's always a pleasure to stop in here!

We were in the City for a quick weekend visit from Boston. While there I wanted to find a pet supply store with unique items for our (new to us) Maltese mix, Lili. We got to Love Thy Beast 5 min. before closing and rather than not allowing us in or trying to rush us, Nia, the shopkeeper, warmly welcomed us in. We were looking for a couple of items and she was really helpful describing how they fit and patiently helping us with different sizes. We came away with some city socks, which will be great for hot pavement and avoiding unseen glass, as well as salt on the roads in the winter. Just before leaving the store, we learned it was Nia's birthday the following day. To have stayed with us after closing was really above and beyond. The following day, we decided to return to Love Thy Beast to have another look before heading back to Boston. There, with help from the owner we purchased several other items, all unique in their design. Having had interactions with both the owner and one of her employees, we can attest that the customer service is terrific! We highly recommend this store if you want items that are different from what you'd find at other pet supply stores.

I purchased a tote bag for my Pomeranian at a pop-up shop at my local Nordstrom store from these guys and it’s really high quality. The bag is a nice olive, blue and yellow color and has a sturdy zipper (my dog hasn’t chewed!) and even his super fluff ball coat doesn’t get caught. I would recommend supporting their business, and getting a little something for your pup from them!

I was looking online for a small local pet supply business to support and stumbled across Love Thy Beast in the East Village. So I stopped by, and I’m very happy I did. The women working there were so friendly and helpful! They answered all of my questions and were fully engaged. The store has a ton of treats and accessories to choose from. I highly recommend checking it out when you go to buy something new for your pet.

My dogs have tons of toys and coats, etc from here. All are amazing quality. I have even sent puppy gift baskets to friends. They even make coats for larger dogs which is a great option.

Love this place so much. Great designed pet products, foods and treats. The winter coats and rains coats the owner designs are amazing! The carry bags are fabulous also if you have a dog 30lbs and under. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Beware ! I reached out with this email below and they were not kind enough to even respond.I had recently shopped at your location in the East Village. My partner and I were trying to find a coat for our newly adopted pup. The store associate Amber had asked us what styles we were interested in as the quilted coats did not catch our eye. She had suggested something that is not yet on the sales floor comparing it a coat we said we were interested in at Canada Pooch. There was constant conversation about the product from Love thy Beast being a constant inspiration to brands like Canada Pooch but that they couldn’t compare because “Canada Pooch steals our ideas yet makes them for a dollar in China.”. After being convinced we were receiving something made in Brooklyn we left feeling positive that our new forever friend had only the best. When removing the coat after the walk home I saw a Made in China tag. Amber had mentioned it was final sale but this was unacceptable! The next day my significant other brought the item back to the store to sort some type of compensation, there was nothing she would do.On another note she fed our dog a turkey neck as a gift with purchase. We did not know that this isn’t the best choice for our dog as we are new dog parents and we trusted her as she seemed knowledgable. Unfortunately our sweet girl is now extremely sick with bloody stool. This is the only thing she ate other than her Stella and Chewy’s. The vet highly recommended we do not give our dog something like that to eat again. I do not know what your team will do for us since “all sales are final” and my boyfriend sold the jacket to a different customer for a fraction of its cost after Amber refused to take it back. Please let us know if anything can be done to correct our experience at Love Thy Beast.

The employees at LTB are not just knowledgeable, they're genuine too. They have a clear love for animals and for the people that take care of them. Their product selection is high end, vibrant and fun! I love this store, its a treat for both me and my Charlie :)

I stumbled upon this place while in the neighborhood, looking to buy a new harness for my little yorkie mutt. They had the harness I wanted (Ruffwear), they had pretty much all sizes available, and many different colors to choose from. The sales lady was incredibly patient while my dog tried on different sizes to get the right fit. Thank you so much for such great service!!!!

If you’re into subpar products that are overpriced and customer service that will make you feel bad about yourself, this is the place for you! I, however, did not enjoy my experience and will not be shopping again at LoveThy Beast.  I seriously doubt they care.  In my experience, if you expect to be treated like a valued customer expect to be disappointed.  Check out the other 1 star reviews...Replying to the owner's response.You are only proving my point. I tried on two sweatshirts (2!) and you put my dog into a sweatshirt that does not fit him and refused to take it back or let me exchange it - turns out you are sold out of his proper size. I did not decide to contact a different sales person, I simply called the store and spoke to the person who answered the phone. I did not try to claim the sweatshirt was not worn! I did not ask for a refund for both - I would have been happy with a simple acknowledgment that there was an issue.This is exactly the point of the review, instead of making your customers feel like they are heard, you are defensive. My only reason for writing the review is so others who have a negative experience at your store know they are not alone.Also, I love my dogs but who spends 4 hours at a dog park, especially in the rain? Oh my goodness, Love Thy Beast - no thank you, never again.

After continuously and tirelessly searching for a bag that is in sync with my personal day-to-day style, I discovered Love Thy Beast pet carriers.This dog tote makes it incredibly easy to grab my pup and go -- and he LOVES going inside it! The design is very thoughtful, durable and timeless. One of the main reasons I got this bag in particular was so that I could bring my dog to work, and now my train commute with him is a breeze! By far, this is the best pet carrier on the market - and I have looked for years.

I ordered rain jackets for my two bernedoodles and they are not only adorable and well made, but super functional. I had purchased a rain jacket from another high-end K9 brand that was very cute, but it wasn't functional for walking him in it. The jackets are not only stylish - but actually protect them from the rain. I also emailed lovethybeast for assistance with sizing and I heard back same day - the recommendations were spot on - perfect fit! Will definitely be a return customer.

So happy to have discovered Love Thy Beast products. Ordered two of the striped shirts for my terrier. Nothing but sheer pleasure in discovering the quality and design of the products. Most importantly, my dog absolutely loves wearing them! No kidding, he genuinely asks for me to put his shirt on for sleeping at days end, resting his head every evening on his shirt at the edge of my bed. To really drive the point home, he jumps up and down enthusiastically and smiles the entire time I have it in my hands to put it on him! Yes, he truly smiles over his new shirts.
