Overall a convenient place to shop in the neighborhood. However place keep your eyes on the screen while the cashier is scanning your items. Sale items almost always scans as regular price. Also their meat usually is not good. Stay away from the meat section as much as you can.

I had the pleasure of doing a couple of shop and pick up orders from Uber eats at these ideal supermarkets. Everything is pretty much organized and well placed. I was in and out in five minutes.

Beware of the price gouging. Also, check your receipts because the price at the register differs from the price on the shelf. They will try to convince you that you are not competent enough to read the signage and will argue back and forth about the price. The level of deception at this store is astounding.

Produce isn't fresh. The outside recycling area for cans & plastic is always dirty. As a result the floor/sidewalk is littered with broken glass. Unsafe for walking kids & pets by the supermarket. Especially if you're wearing open toed shoes.

I bought hummus and pita from there and tried to eat it that same day. Hummus (not on sale) was one week+ past it’s Best Before date and tasted funny, and the pita was moldy. I now can’t trust anything at this store.

Good selection. Make sure you watch the cashiers as they are checking out your items, I have been over charged on several occasions.

It's a clean store, with amazing sales and foid you can buy, for a dinner, just heat fresh meals. . And OTC to shop for groceries. I have no problems at all.

I purchased meat here and it was spoiled I didn’t notice until I got home and when I checked for my receipt the cashier never put it in my bag or even in my hand . Too expensive for low quality and unhealthy food

The hot food made at this supermarket is really good. Breakfast is available and lunch begins displaying after 10:30am. The guys working at the food counter are always very kind and friendly. They usually tell me when what days mangú will be on the menu. Come in the afternoon and try their delicious stewed beans. Reminds me of Puerto Rico.

Ideal Food Basket is wonderfully located in Crown Heights/East Flatbush Brooklyn. They have a wide selection of everything that you need for cooking.I purchased peanuts, sugar, and butter from this supermarket and made this peanut fudge candy. I enjoyed shopping here just as much as I enjoyed making this candy.

Great supermarket!! A bit overpriced but there are usually some good sales! The reason for the 4 stars is cause some of the cashier's can be a bit rude. I had one cashier ring me up then turn her back on me while I bag my stuff. Another issue is that they would have some good products for a while then never restock them. So it's best not to fall in love with a newly stocked product cause they might not bring it back

Prices are high, $6.19 for almond milk. Signage said $4.19, but an employee said it was for whipped cream that was not on the shelf. I was able to buy 2 half gallons of almond milk for less somewhere else. "Ideal" is a neighborhood store that changes corporate branding every few years. Shoppers that can travel or shop online will find competitive pricing.

This supermarket is the best it is very spacious, clean and carries a wide varieties of fruit and fresh vegetables. You can also get a bouquet if flowers for your love ones.

Im updating this review from two years ago. The parking in back so it is convenient to stop while out and about driving (the parking is a bit tight). The prices are expensive so prepare to spend (3 stars on prices). The cold cuts section is great seems they have finally staffed the area with employees eager to assist you with your cold cut order (5 stars for the cold cut counter).

They are a full on supermarket the most annoying thing about this place is that if you want to leave the store you have to go through the cashiers even if you did not buy anything.... i do not think that is necessary... but other then that it is a very very nice store

This supermarket is 1 of the cleanest I have been to. Items are easy to find, shelves are fairly near and stocked well. Meats look fresh and ready to season and cook. Fish is nice and fresh and we'll displayed, with wild caught or farm raised signs. The owners are doing a great job keeping this place in it greatest condition. I go out of my way to shop here ibwas of shopping in my area.

This grocery store is the best. During the 3 to 4 months every item was stocked. Customer service was excellent and I feel comfortable shopping. Everone social distance, have on mask and just happy to see us and they never missed a beat. I just love the new look of the supermarket. They were all heros for opening early and just applying all the rules and regulations. Applauds for Afb Crown Heights International. Much love to the workers and owners.
