I recently brought my dog to your grooming salon and I’m writing this review to express my concerns about the experience. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, I was left feeling disappointed with the service provided. I was also disappointed with the handling of my special requests. I had provided clear instructions regarding my dog’s specific grooming needs, but these were not fully addressed. Additionally, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff left much to be desired. A more courteous and attentive approach would have greatly improved the overall experience. They were lazy, they didn’t want to comb my dog prior to grooming him and said unfortunately they will have to cut his hair very short. Never coming back here again!

We used to go here all the time but after the last two times we will no longer be going back. Asked for a little trim cake back and my dog was bold , they said they couldn’t do anything else which I could understand HOWEVER a phone call is the least they could do and then I would tell them no I’ll just take him home if that’s all you can doOK the first time I was aware now the second time why was there update ? No phone call ? Just a surprise at pick up

My pom and I have been a long time clients of Happy Tails. I moved a couple years ago and still come to Happy Tails. Pomeranians need special grooming/styling services...if you own one, you know what I mean! Not any groomer can care for poms. My pom always looks so cute and perfect after her visit here. I wouldn't trust any other groomers to with her. The team at Happy Tails not only provide excellent services, they actually care about the pets they work with—asking about their quirks, allergies, etc. I also have a border collie, who has a very particular personality, and the team put me at ease about how they can take care of him—how they can accommodate the services to him and his needs. It's like a tailored service for every pet! Love Happy Tails and refer them to any pet owner I come across.

Update 3/18:I just want to reiterate how much I appreciate these groomers. My senior dogs were having lots of mobility issues as they got older and couldn’t stand for too long. Regardless, my dogs were treated so kindly and given lots of patience. They looked so lovely after and were never overly tired or anxious after their visit. My girls have both passed on, but I’ll always recommend these groomers to anyone in this area.****2022:Just picked up my girls from here and I am very pleased. I usually bring my dogs to Petsmart for grooming bc it’s much more affordable. But as my girls get older, staying at the groomers all day is much harder on them and it’s obviously never consistent. I am very impressed with the care and attention these groomers did for us. They acknowledged that my dogs were geriatric and wanted them to be as comfortable as possible and talked thru what they found in their appointment. It was definitely the fastest grooming appointment I ever had (2 large dogs in 3 hours!). They came out looking so beautiful, fluffy and fresh, and they weren’t crazy thirsty or tired when we picked them up. Pricing was fairly reasonable for the area. Happy to say I think we found our new groomer 😊

My dog, Bear, is a labradoodle and I had made an appointment on August 18th for a full groom. The groomer called me and asked me what type of cut I wanted and I told her half the length, a little shorter on the legs/paws, and to cut her face hair around her eye short as her previous groomer had done. I didn't mention the ear plucking, nail clipping, or sanitary trim because those are on the website as included in the full groom price of $165. The groomer did not pluck her ears, clip her nails, or trim her sanitary area. I also noticed her paw pads were not trimmed down either and some areas on her body are unevenly cut.

So happy to found them! Not only they did a beautiful cut to our puppy Mateo, they were also communicative about the whole process. Even more important, he was happy too. Usually he feels anxious and looking traumatized after we took him for grooming, and here it was all the contrary. They don’t use any meds to calm them down. We loved it.

My dog and I love Happy Tails.Ditto has bad skin allergies, her skin has been great since we starting going to there. They take care of her special needs because she multiple orthopedic issues.I have since moved and travel across Brooklyn so Ditto can have her spa treatments! Ditto loves this place so much, she would sit outside of the place and wag her tail even when they were closed and the gates were down.We love Kristy and the Happy Tails team!

Kristy and her groomers at Happy Tails do a great job grooming my dog and cat. Everyone there is experienced and professional. I don’t have to worry about seeing someone new every time I make an appointment. My cat is difficult and believe me the are very good and handling her.

They did a great job with my Mini Aussie. When I came they knew exactly what I wanted not a full groom just trimming the backside which I learned from them was called a bloomer trim. He looked and smelled great after. Also they took their time with the drying so he didn't get too stressed. Really awesome job. Wish I would have found them sooner!

We were new pet owners with a young mini schnauzer and were overwhelmed with which groomer to take our dog too. We called late on a Saturday and were able to make an appointment for the same afternoon. The staff and was very energetic and seemed to thoroughly enjoy what they do. Ivan performed a fantastic job and his attention to detail is unmistakable. Very pleased with the outcome and will be returning for all future cuts.

I have taken my long haired cat to happy tails for the past few summers for her lion trim. The cat groomer was so nice about fitting us in at a time that was good for me, and when there wouldn't be many dogs around. My cat looks seriously regal and is not grumpy from the hot weather any more. Good place, good people.

My cat Pancake got his hair cut here. They did such a great job. Best cut he’s ever had. He was so relaxed and pleased when I picked him up I could tell they took good care of him. Everyone was so nice and sweet. The whole family seemed to be a part of the business.

Happy Tails and the new owners are awesome. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Our cats always leave there looking great and smelling good. One of our cats gets a regular lion cut. The other one gets a full body mowhawk... its perfect for his tough guy image.

Support this business! We can't say enough positive things about Happy Tails. Our dog always looks great. He's well cared for and safe while he's there. And there's something to be said about how this shop handled COVID-19. When other places remained open, defying NYS guidelines, HT followed them and made modifications to its space to mitigate exposure risk once it reopened. That's the kind of place we want to support. Smart, thoughtful, talented and responsible. Like I said, can't say enough great things.

I brought my fluffy doodle there and was so sad they cut down all his fluff after I specifically asked them to leave it longer. His nose was shaved so close to his skin I can see his spotter skin on his snot. Not to mention they charged me 97$!!!!! So disappointing another bad groomer in Brooklyn. Nice people but if you can't listen to a client what's the point. Everyone that has seen puppy since was as sad as I was to see that he looked completely different😫 Skinny shaved down yo nothing.

I can't say enough good about this place. I have a large calico, a former stray who isn't shy with hissing and scratching if she's feeling uncomfortable. She had some serious matting on her back and butt. The lowest quote I got before calling Happy Tails was $100 (if they took cats at all, most don't). They not only took such sweet care of my pal, but they charged me $35, after quoting me $40 on the phone. They even got her back in the carrier for me! These folks are not only professional, but incredibly empathetic and kind. I will never go anywhere else.

They did half of the job whilst charging for it all saying the cat « didn’t like it ». They didn’t remove all the hairs on her so taking her in my hand I had hairs everywhere. They didn’t clean her butt completely because « she didn’t like it » and the overall cut was rough and style less. For more than 100$, I would have expected a way better job.
