Although I purchased a few different items, I found everything I needed and more at Bushwick Bark. I must say, I was absolutely impressed by the cashier's/associates warm, friendly and attentive nature. She definitely helped me along the way, amongst others. Plus she even had so much patience to help me with my time there. She was great and recommended great items that I was looking for. I ended up buying a spray for my two felines that were scratching up my furniture, a catnip toy and 2 treats for my German sheperds. They were so eager to eat their treat, they smelled the treats as soon as I walked into the house. Bushwick Bark had a bit of everything needed for pets and they were even foster 2 of the cutest kittens ever. Definitely would recommend their services.

Warning for dog parents: My pup and I had a terrible experience at her last grooming appointment.Her vet trims her nails regularly with no problems. I also had taken her to Bushwick Bark once before and it seemed to go fine. This time though I could hear that she was in distress within minutes of the groomer bringing her into the back room. I waited to see if she would calm down but it got worse so I went back to see if I could calm her down. That was when I saw there was ANOTHER DOG back there in the grooming room, which is tiny and cramped. Seemed like the groomer’s pet. I was not informed or asked if it was ok there was another dog there. My dog is friendly but gets excited and sometimes stressed around unfamiliar dogs, particularly if she is on leash or otherwise restrained. I would NEVER have consented to letting her be put in restraints and handled by an unfamiliar person WITH ANOTHER DOG in that tiny room, and I am shocked that a “pet friendly” business like Bushwick Bark would think it was ok to do that.I will not be bringing her back. For some pet owners this may be the easiest or only grooming option, so I would just advise you to ask if there are another animals in the back room or insist on accompanying your pet during the visit.

The staff at Bushwick Bark is awesome! Super friendly and helpful. I brought my puppy in to get groomed for the first time ever, and he came back to me fluffy, all trimmed up and looking more handsome than ever!

I was there for the self service dog wash. On that front it's a big fail. You will invariably get yourself wet. To save my back I put him on that little bench - but immediately started to get water on my shoes. The other possibility would be to put him on the ground, sit on the bench - crouching down so I can reach him? - and, I don't know, put my feet up on the bench as well? How is this supposed to work?The employees had no idea either.They have warm water, a warm dryer, shampoo, towels, brushes etc. It was roughly $15.Otherwise: nice store, friendly employees. The single star is for the self service dog wash only.

They got my 155 lbs malamute in for a last minute grooming appointment and did not disappoint. This is easily the best quality grooming I've seen in Brooklyn so far with a very reasonable price.

I have a 90lb German Shepherd/Husky mix, who is a nightmare to groom. It's usually over $120 to get him groomed in Brooklyn, and washing him at home is virtually impossible. Not only is it super affordable at Bushwick Bark, the staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. They include everything you need in the self service dog wash station, and they take care of clean up. I got the dog washed, a professional nail clipping, and a HUGE bone (cow femur?) in under an hour, for around $50. Unbeatable. Will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you!*Edit: Here's my dog next to a burrito, for scale. All white, grooming nightmare.

The staff here were super friendly and helpful. The groomer was very accommodating and attentive to our dog. She was knowledgeable, gentle, and made our pup look like an adorable teddy bear. I will definitely return!

The self service dog wash closes at 7pm. I been coming here since October and have washed my dog around this time. If I knew that they close the dog wash at 7 PM I would’ve stopped by there earlier to avoid this. this is only disappointing because I took my dog out to get nice and dirty today because I knew I could wash him at 7pm. To avoid this in the future with new customers I highly advise that management makes it known to their customers either online or on the front door. Also, the hours posted on google is wrong

They did an amazing job on my pom terriers first groom! She’s a nervous rescue but was great for them. The whole staff is super sweet, and their prices were unbelievably reasonable! Yuna smells, looks, and feels great! They also have a wonderful selection of sweaters and supplies. My dog has a double coat and she was shaved down completely (not supposed to be done with double coat dogs). I’m very upset at the service we received.

I usually have no problems getting my dog groomed with them but this time I left extremely upset. I showed the groomer (Daniel) a photo of the shape I wanted and said he can cut as short as needed but maintain that shape. It’s the same conversation I’ve had previous groomers there and I he said he could do it. He did not communicate with me well and did whatever he wanted. I paid $75 for my dog to be completely, unevenly shaved, which I could’ve done myself for free. I’m very upset, and would honestly be willing travel farther and pay more for better service somewhere in the future. I’ve never had problems with their grooming service before but I won’t trust this current groomer with my dog again.

Picking my dog after a groom he was shaking like a leaf, got home and took a look at him and the poor guy had taken a bashing, 2 cuts on his body by his family jewels and one right on the end of the place that none wants a cut so no wonder.I phoned, explained and Megan kindly offered to pay any vets bills and refund my money. 6 weeks later and several phone calls and I received a check for just over half the vets bill and nothing more. They had deemed part of the vets bill unnecessary (They checked for an infection in case he had caught anything from the clippers !) and told me I refused a refund when I specifically requested one directly on the phone to Megan.So in conclusion they hid what they did, traumatized my dog for weeks, offered to refund me, ignore my calls for weeks, then accused me of lying and only refunded part of the vets bill they offered to pay whilst being mildly rude... Great job guys

Took my dog Mylo in about 2 months ago and had an amazing experience. They were very sweet with him and the customer service was great.Mylo went in for a full groom and came out with the best haircut. They followed my instructions to the T.I will definitely be going back!The only downside is that it is ONLY cash. But, we should all support Small Businesses so why not?

They're so friendly here! I had a bunch of issues getting my dogs vaccine papers and they were really patient and helpful. Then they still groomed my dog even after my appointment time due to my issue. I saw them interacting with a lot of customers while I was waiting and they were so sweet to all the dogs and seemed to be really knowledgeable about and connected to their customers. My dog came out looking super cute and soft and he was very happy. Usually after a groom he's a little upset the rest of the day but he was in really good spirits. I don't think I'll get him groomed anywhere else!

I left a one star review in April on Yelp. I called Bushwick Bark to complain about the affects of my dog's haircut provided by their groomers. The woman on the phone took down my contact information for the owner to call me and still has not called me.I have been going to the vet every other week for the past few weeks since he received his haircut at Bushwick Bark. I have visited a total of 5 vets. My dog is full bred Pomeranian and they shaved him down completely even though I demanded for them to leave at least half an inch of fur prior to his cut. One vet even suggested that it looked like he may have been burned from a razor from the cut...The vets confirmed this may be pre clipping alopecia, but this has also led to other issues now such as allergy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR GROOMING SERVICES. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL!

Hands down the best pet supply in Brooklyn. Helpful, attentive and animal-loving owner and staff who stock the store with an unbeatable variety of food and supplies. Passionate about animals, they are also involved in education, outreach and rescue which to me are the best kind of people to be running a pet supply business. Whenever I've had an issue with a product, Dottie the owner has gone above and beyond to address with vendors to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction. Long live the Bushwick Bark family!

The friendliest staff and super helpful. They always are super caring for my dog and help me find all the right products for him. Groomer there is very knowledgeable about different breeds needs and recommended the perfect brush for my fluffy dog.

i looooove bushwick bark. idk what it is but my partner and i just love going to a pet store and bushwick bark is great. the staff is usually so nice and they have a great selection of things.at this location they foster little kittens and we love going in to say hello, our hearts break every time :( but they are the cutestthey have a groomers that i haven’t tried so can’t speak on that but they also have a shower which you can pay to use for $14 which includes products to use to give your pup a bath!! it’s super convenient in case you don’t have a tub at home or are coming home from a messy park adventure 🤗really recommend 💓

I came here for the first time about a year ago and had an excellent experience. So I brought my dog back and the groomer was 2.5 hours late for the appointment and did a sloppy job on the haircut. I decided to look that over, since the first time was so great. Well when I called to make the appointment the person on the phone was so disrespectful that I decided not to follow through with the appointment. And I’ve never done that before. The phone conversation was befuddling because I did nothing to warrant any disrespect. Maybe I will try again in a few months and it will be better? Maybe the employees are unhappy there? I don’t know. I hope it was just another anomaly. Not sure if I will return or not.

Staff is so knowledge and friendly! They partner with local adoption organizations and provide beginner kits for new dog owners who adopt from those organizations. But I'm sure if youre a new dog owner or you've adopted from an org that they don't partner with they be happy to point you in the right direction. Prices are pretty high but that's generally what you should expect at a store that isn't an enormous chain. They also do grooming!

Don’t waste your time here. Had made an appointment over the phone for a certain date and when the day came I was told it was for the following week. I was ok with that because people always make mistakes and that’s fine but then I came back the following week and I arrived 15 minutes late due to traffic. They told me my appointment was canceled because I wasn’t on time. I didn’t even receive a phone call to let me know someone else will take my place. Very unprofessional service. This place used to be better before with the previous employees. The current employees don’t even try to help you in any way. Will sadly have to find a new place after years of coming here with my 2 pets.

Bushwick Bark is a great little store. They have grooming in the back (although appointments are usually booked out at least a month in advance). They keep some basic dog and cat food/toys/supplies on hand. Slightly more expensive than buying online, but not bad considering it's a local business! The best part about this small place is their self dog wash! They have a shower set up in the front with a sliding glass door that includes everything you would need to wash your dog. For only $14 they provide the hair brush, shampoo, conditioner, towels, apron, etc. to be able to wash your dog without making the mess in your own home. NOTE: when I went in last week, December 10, 2018, the self dog wash was out of service. I will try to make an edit when it is in use again.

I love this place. When I rescued my pup, I brought her here because a) the women who work there wanted to meet her after I had told them I was rescuing a dog a few days earlier, and b) she was a really picky eater at first. When I brought her in, the two women were super helpful and gave me a ton of samples to help her find something she liked. They let me open a can of food in-store to see if my dog would eat it, and gave me samples of raw food, too. I ended up buying Weruva canned food and Raw Dynamic frozen raw food because my dog ate them in-store and I knew she liked them. Super helpful and knowledgeable! I had no idea dogs could eat raw meat until they explained it and the benefits to me. My dog loves eating raw and it's made her coat SO smooth and soft, and she absolutely gobbles it up.

Bushwick Bark has a very friendly staff, lots of great products, and sweet kittens for adoption! I really appreciate the services offered - nail trims, grooming, and bathing (including a self-serve dog bath). It also frequently hosts events and the staff always gives treats to good animals.

I just left the store and the vibes all around were very terrible, we did not get a greeting when we entered but others who came in behind us that did not have any melanin in their body receive greetings we went near the pet cage and the young lady who works in the store came over and made sure the cage was closed as if to say don’t touch it. I would not come to the store ever again and I would not tell anyone to come to the store ever again bad vibes all around if I could give it zero stars I would. PERIODT!

I love Bushwick Bark they are a pillar of the community and bring people together. They have everything your pooch will need from food, Tory's and care items through to the coolest things in fashion.Also the staff are amazing!
