So I arrived to this store Solely to get food for my “Community Fish” and before I can even ask , a young lady by the name of QWEN approached me and asked me if I needed assistance. At 1st I said no because I was just looking around , than I hit her with a plethora of questions which she was soooo knowledgeable about. I really appreciate Qwen for going above and beyond to meet my needs. Very genuine and pleasant. I most certainly will be back and highly recommend anyone who’s curious about their fish to visit this location. The staff overall was very welcoming.

Employees are very friendly , knowledgeable and nice ! They always have what you’re looking for and if they are ever out of something they are always replaced quickly . Their Dubia roaches are a little expensive at $1.00 a roach but it saves the headache of running around to the chain pet shops that are usually out of stock most of the time. Highly recommend this place !

These animals are in very good condition and are well cared for. I can feel that they are well taken care of. And the boss is very nice! I'm looking forward to going back again and buying my favorite bird baby!

Wonderful pet shop. Everything you need for cats/dogs, as well as birds, reptiles, fish, chinchillas, etc. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I’m new to fish keeping and I’ve gotta say the owner really helped me through the process. They have such a great selection of fish and plants. The store is always clean and the staff is so nice. I often go there on my lunch breaks just to look at all the tanks, they’re all planted so beautifully. So nice to have a pet store like this in the area.

This place is a surprising little pet shop if you’re a fish dude like I am. They carry a good amount of stuff and keep their tanks clean and stocked with healthy fish. They also carry frozen foods which is handy. The guy in charge of the fish is nice and I wish we were friends. He loves planted tanks and so do i. He keeps a number of them in the store and sells a good variety of aquatic plants.

The staff here are very knowledgeable and kind! They seem to care deeply about all the animals in the shop too! I came in as a new fish owner wanting to learn about the best equipment I should buy. I can't tell you how many questions I asked, but regardless, the worker was very patient and kind. He guided me through setting up the tank, when I should put the fish in, what chemicals I should use and when, etc. He's now my unofficial fish guy!

*Edit as of December 2023*: the rodent care has went downhill, again. Most of the hamsters are not receiving adequate care. Thank god that Guinea pigs are not legal to sell (tons of them are in the city shelters and Petfinder if you’re interested in getting one) because generally stores just don’t treat them with respect. The hamster cages offered to buy are awful and way too small. Wheels with mesh and wire bars are still used. Solitary breeds are housed in pairs or groups. The actual accessories sold are great, as I’ve mentioned previously, but it just disappoints me so much seeing these animals housed in such a way. It also seems as Chinchillas are the new replacement for Guinea pigs, and they’re not easy to care for, which worries me a bit.*Edit as of May 2022*: the quality of care and stock in this pet store has definitely improved since my last review. I see they’re trying to improve rodent care and have a variety of great rodent care products now. There’s still improvement to be done, as they don’t sell any appropriate sized cages (you’re much better off getting a 25+ gal aquarium depending on the type of small animal and/or larger DIY cages) and there’s wired wheels smaller than 6inches in diameter in many of the cages. The fish care looks excellent though, and the tanks look very clean. I can’t speak for the reptile and bird care because I don’t have much experience with them.Old review:I’ve honestly stopped going to this place much since they don’t stock that many appropriate products for small animals. I have 2 Guinea pigs and a hamster and most of the products sold are either underwhelming or straight-up unsafe. Pine and Cedar bedding cause respiratory issues, wired wheels can get hamster feet stuck and injured, cotton nesting can cause blockages if swallowed by hamsters. Their food for hamsters lacks variety and I’d rather go to another store closer to me for larger bags of hay for my Guinea pigs. The way they house their small animals is sad too. I understand space is limited, but they keep male Syrian hamsters together. Syrians are solitary animals and I’m surprised there hasn’t been a fight yet. They’re probably too depressed and lethargic in their tiny cages to fight…

This is the pet store, where I purchased my first snake.The staff are a friendly bunch and know what they are talking about. They have an amazing selection of pet related items (regardless whether it is a snake or not). They are generally open late for a Pet Store (7pm I believe). So it is always nice to know, in case there is an emergency 'food situation'.

This is probably the most well kept aquarium stores around. I'm no expert, but walking in I can see that all the tanks are clean and well kept, there are no dead fishes floating around, and also there are a few display aquarium that looks super nice and inspirational (well done!).Jordan helped us answer all questions without rushing, gave advice and was extremely helpful. This type of quality and customer service is exactly what I look for and am willing to drive out of the way for.Thank you and please keep up the great work!

the people there are great they help you with everything you need they sell many different types of pets for your liking i got all my 20 pets there and one time i got a hamster somewhere else and it lived much shorter then the one i got at all i 1 pets also the supplies there have great quality.if you live in or near greenpiont i would really recomnd this pet shop.

These guys are super knowledgeable and compassionate and helped me when I got into a bit of a tricky situation when a lizard traveled fromFlorida in a house plant that ended up in my brooklyn apartment. Thanks to them he is safe and sound and I couldn’t be more pleased to have this kind of store in the neighborhood. First let me say how super clean the store is. You can hardly tell they have animals based off of how good it smells when you walk in. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, their selection is out of this world with different products all the time and the prices aren't bad. Place is nice has all I need for my aquariums one issue is keeping bettas in bowls but theres not much you could do about it also they say they sell live plants but I couldn't see any. I'll have to come back another time and ask about the plants

A small place, but they always have what I need. Reasonably priced. I've never purchased an animal from here, but they look well cared for. They have a small animal and bird food station where you can scoop as much or as little food as you need and pay by weight - a really great option to cut back on packaging.
