i would NOT buy a new pet here , on Oct 31 I took home a red eared slider. Notice the shell was bad , took it to the VET, ITS SHELL was in BAD conditions.,FIND OUT IT Has SHELL ROt now I spend more $$ the Vet TO GET IT HEALTHY.

DO NOT BUY PETS HERE. Animals are not spayed/ neutered. Animals are contained in mixed gender containers.I was gifted a hampster about 2 months ago. I now have a liter of 7 baby hampsters. :( These hampsters also have mites. Our vet suspects they came both pregnant and with mites (considering the timing and level of infection). I have spent $300 so far trying to fix this.In addition, the associate sold "2 in 1" hampster food. Food bags that include treats are NOT advised by animal care professionals because the animal will eat all the snacks and junk before eating their healthy food. (Thus causing more health issues)I, as a consumer, expect the people working at and operating pet shops to know more than me about the animals they hold and distribute. This negligence has lead me to believe that the staff here do not know as much as they should. Please don't trust this place with your pets or your money. Go somewhere else.

Teribble store I bought about 3-4 birds from here and each one of the were healthy the night before and the next morning it has something like a seizure and dies. They are doing something to these birds DONT BUY FROM THERE!!!

I went to store so happy, because my husband gave my money to get my dog carrier on m back. I took my dog and told her that she as 11lb. She gave me carrier say my baby girl. Me b i got so excited I took it. Not info no return or ex on the Item. $50 wasted. Young lady would of told me no exchange etc. Won’t bother getting it. Won’t go there again. Stay with my chewy.

They are always helpful and take care of you right away. They had this little guy out and they said he doesn't go to people, I guess I was one of the lucky ones lol. Can someone buy him for me???? He's adorable and I was so happy he aloud me to hold him. This petland is I think the greatest, polite, fast.

5 stars for ME, maybe not YOU. I always find satisfaction coming here when I'm stressed out, just to look at the fish, and yet, I always end up buying a fish for my tanks; all healthy and living! Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, have good information on the care you need to give your fish before they even take them out. I even bought an eel earlier today... never thought I would but I did, and that's all because this guy answered my question with more than the answer I was looking for, which was a "yes." So with what I learned from him, if you're going to buy an eel for your freshwater tank... they do not go for flake foods, you must feed them blood worms I am a living proof, I sat and watch him/her ignore the flakes all up in his face and all the worms that he ate. 10 stars for me, if anything. See for yourself 🤷🏽‍♂️

This store was pet land before and for some odd reason the manager was very pleasant. After this chain took over every time I come here I have an extremely negative experience. The manager has become rude and dismissive which in turn the rest of the staff is as well. My husband got yelled at like a child from across the store for asking if they had anymore feeders in stock. When it could have been avoided with just a simple sign stating out of feeders, maybe being courteous and extremely rude is a requirement. In my last experience the manager was not helping a customer but she was doing something when I asked for feeders she ignored me and kept doing what she was doing. I waited went to another young lady and asked can I get some feeders because it seems like people are working but won’t help costumers. The girl proceeds to say yeah I got but how many you want I said how many walked over and the manager rudely as if I’m a bother asked how many I told her she said go the front pay for them in her classic rude stance. The only reason I come to this place is because there isn’t any other pet store and that is sad that a store would take their costumers for granted in that way. If people stop coming because of this how will this small business survive. It’s truly sad when a company entrust people that they believe would do right by them and they just give the company a bad name. I asked the cashier for an email or other number to speak to someone about this and in classic whole pets manner got nothing. The manager doesn’t like the job she is miserable making the entire store a miserable shopping experience

Personally. I would just like the store to open on time for the times that are advertised on the website.It’s time consuming and inconvenient when I constantly come here and you’re closed at 10am on a weekday! When all the other stores around you even the sneaker store and smoke shop are open. You should be embarrassed that teenagers that get up to open a sneaker store and subway next door are able to make it to their place of establishment before you.I live here in the neighborhood. & I can assure you that this store opens late at least 2x a week.Get it together or find new management that can.

Store is nicely stocked. I purchased food for my dogs shoes & fish for my turtles. You can meet all your pets needs here. Yes some items may be more pricey than Chewy but when you factor in the shipping fee & tax you just about break even. Well worth every penny & nice to see & handle the items your buying.Staff is helpful & kind. I'll be returning again & again.

Customer service is going down the hill while prices are higher than market price. I asked a simple question on sales tax and the cashier didn’t know how to calculate it the proper way and management didn’t care when cashier became irate.

Today was the first time I have ever visited this store. It was an absolute pleasurable experience. Santos was excellent to deal with.I went there to purchase fish with my kids. Santos was patient, informative and kind. I sincerely appreciate his time and hope the owner(s) of this store knows how much of an asset they have in an employee like Santos.I am very happy with Whole Pets Market and will definitely be back.

Today I went to purchase Blue Buffalo dog food. I noticed that the bags had 3 different prices tags $27 , $32 & $37 for a 5 pounds of dry dog food that were the same. Ok I see a stock person tagging the Blue Buffalo 5 pound bags with a $37 pice tag I asked her is this the correct price she said yes . Ok I went to the register to check out and I asked the Manager Marisol was this price of $37 correct she stated that yes it’s the price she doesn’t make the price and to go purchase it somewhere else if I don’t like the price and I was nagging her . I then asked who’s her manager and she stated she is . Then I asked to speak with the owner of the pet shop , she stated that he was not in at this present time. I informed her that the price is doubled a and I think it’s a mistake because the price that’s marked is for the very large bag not the 5 pound because I purchase this band from this store often . She basically dismissed me. I told her that her answers and attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful, to the point that I will never return! I asked for a refund and she refunded my money back. She then stated she’s been in the business for 21 years . I think she needs to be retrained in the customer service department. She needs to be spoken to !

All the animals look sick, they had a bunch of guinea pigs in one tank and when I asked what the genders were they said it was mixed.. Fish tanks aren't clean, I've seen dead fish and they had 2 hermit crabs dead in the cage, the set up for the hermit crabs is incorrect; no heating and feeding them the wrong food. The bird cages are also terrible. I wouldn't buy any animal or packaged food from here. Dog food etc probably aren't stored correctly and will have bugs in them. I only get crickets and cage equipment from here. I'd trust buying an animal from petco or petsmart than here and that's saying a lot.

great service friendly staffthey have amobile vet on Sundays only for 90 minutes 1pm 230pm and wellthey've (absent for 3 weeks)they're inexpensive when present and thorough, very knowledgeable,near public transportation 22 bus 39 bus the 12 bus and a train or two I believe the 2 train and such ....

DO NOT BUY FOOD HERE! at least Stella & Chewy’s. bought a bag of dog food 3 days ago when we were running low. opened last night to mold/ spider webs. came in today for an exchange and the only other bag of this recipe is also expired and webby. i pointed this out to the cashier who refused a refund without receipt, although they were able to pull up my transaction without it. i also had informed her that many bags had small critter holes while i was looking through for a replacement. i feel as though i could’ve been offered a refund other than store credit that i could not even use for FOOD given the condition of their products.

I just called here at 3 pm to ask if they had a product back in stock and was hung up on 4 times in a row. No hello, no nothing- just hung up the phone 4 times. I understand staff are overworked, but that is ridiculous.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have an amazing hairless guinea pig. My 1st time seeing one! Definitely unique! They say he gets handled the most by customers. Well stocked store.
