It’s unfortunate if your prescription were transferred here due to your regular Rite Aid pharmacy closure. My prescriptions were sent here and they never pick up the phone. I waited on hold for 45 mins only for someone to pick up and hang up the phone. And going in person is even worse. The lines are to the back of the store most days. My last visit it was 30 people on line and it took me an hour and half to reach the counter. There’s a pharmacy associate who is extremely slow and doesn’t know where your prescription is located making the wait even longer and more frustrating. This experience is horrible the store associates aren’t helpful and sometimes are borderline rude. Corporate need to visit this store to see first hand what their customers are experiencing. I’ll be looking for mail orders or transferring my prescriptions to Walgreens.

This location has the worst pharmacy ever. I was forced to transfer my scripts here due to the closing of another Rite Aid. The pharmacy's staff is incompetent and lacks customer service skills. I've waited on the phone multiple times for over an hour just to have someone pick up and hang up. My provider has even had difficulty contacting this pharmacy regarding medications. If you try to go to the pharmacy, prepare to wait online forever and get to the counter without getting any help. I've contacted the corporate office and await a call back from them.

Worst pharmacy service ever, waiting on line for 20 minutes, trying to do prescription for a patient. Pharmacist with a heavy indian accent hung uped the phone on me, calling back to make a complaint on him and waiting again for 15 minutes. Do you think your time is more valuable than mine?

I had to move to this pharmacy because my main one closed. I'm standing and waiting and hour for medicine which is complete and utter ridiculousness. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It's worse and you think with 6 employees it would be faster. I'm changing my pharmacy immediately. I just had a tooth removed, I'm in discomfort and i have to wait for an hour to get the antibiotics I need. The line is out to the door. People are so pissed. Extremely unprofessional. But thank God one of the associates from the old Gun Hill road pharmacy saw me and helped. She is the real blessing.

Ernest was the cashier and he was amazing! He was helpful and attentive to all of my questions and needs regarding my purchase. I will definitely be coming back to shop at this riteaid location. Super helpful and very kind!

It's the shame the Rite Aid at 4159 White Plains road. After you guys hired all these people put glass on everything which is beautiful, but you still can't get through to the pharmacy in the back and look how many people work in the pharmacy in the back and no one answers the phone. At least the Rite Aid at 233rd, they answered the phone. This is such a shame you know, if this Rite Aid had been downtown 96th street 72nd street. This problem wouldn't be happening. You guys say you're working on fixing the problem. And nothing has been done yet, and it's going on 6 months. It's time to leave Rite Aid alone and deal with the other pharmacies in the neighborhood.

I just want to say Myesha McCoy you made my day and helping me get my medication. she took the time to call my worker comp insurance to make sure I was approve for my medication. her kindness and patience with me made my anxiety go down. the pharmacist (white lady with the pony tail) was really rude, she didn't introduce herself and told me to move to the side to help other people , when I clearly was first in line.i just feel like before you tell someone to move introduce yourself and have manner and say please. but myesha took initiative to help me and I appreciate her for that. myesha is a true example of compassionate and good customer service. I can't wait for my refill and I will only go to her. thank you myesha.

Customer service was HORRIBLE, SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED OR REPRIMANDED FOR HOW SHE REPRESENTS RITE AID AS A WHOLE. SHE IS THE FIRST PERSON YOU SEE WHEN YOU COME IN THE STORE AND SHE LOOKS ANNOYED AND UNHAPPY TO BE THERE AND SHE WAS ON HER PHONE THE ENTIRE TIME SHE NEVER GREETED ME AS THE PERSON TO BRING YOU UP SHE NEVER GAVE EYE CONTACT AND NEVER LOOKED UP FROM HER PHONE UNTIL IT WAS TIME FOR HER TO GIVE ME MY RECEIPT SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND SEEMED LIKE SHE DID NOT WANT TO ANSWER ANY OF MY QUESTIONS. Why work for a place if you do not want to work there or have no desire to give proper and adequate customer service to to rite aid customers. She was extremely rude and extremely nasty and she does not deserve to be in the front of the store let alone work there!! All she was interested in was looking through her phone on shin and scrolling on social media while I was right in front of her which is very unprofessional in the retail business!!!! RITE AID YOU NEED TO DO BETTER WHEN IT COMES TO HIRING SOMEONE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE RITE AID CUSTOMERS, DO BETTER!!!! THIS IS NOT OKAY!! If I could give less than one star I would based on this interaction today alone SMFH!!

I've been trying to get a fax number to the pharmacy for 48hrs and each time I called I waited for 40mins without any assistance. My rite aid at bronxwood and gun hill closed since then I've been trying to reach out to your pharmacy seeing this is where I was referred to by rite aid.Horrible that patients and doctors have to wait that long to speak to human being.

Zaid the manager is always super kind PROFESSIONAL AND EXCEEDINGLY HELPFUL. he saw I was struggling to get items to the front area to check out. After waiting on the customers he said I will help you. HELP IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT ZAID THE MANAGER literally picked up my toilet paper, multiple paper towels packs kleenex boxes, detergents, many other items and took them to the front area, rang up everything with her team associate Valerie and then zaid baged up and escorted me with my MANY MANY BAGS to my car outside. he placed Everything in my Trunk and backseats as I purchased so many items. I could of never completed my shopping tasks for my family without the EXPERTISE, KINDNESSES AND PROFESSIONALISM OF ZAID THE MAGNIFICENT AS I NOW CALL HIM AND VALEIR THE MASTERPIECE HELPER. I dont know how I would of been able to do it without their strength and going THE EXTRA MILE FOR THEIR CISTOMER that's why I will return to this store Knowing Manager like Zaid and his team valeire really CARE. Management has to actually train their managers there's no way your a manager and don't even know how to undue a transaction you just did. If you wasn't so wrapped up in using two registers you would actually pay attention to what your doing. There wasn't even a line of more then 5 people to be using two registers and if you needed to, have a worker to work with you. It's not rocket science. And telling me I need to listen, I'm not your employee I do not need to listen to you, after you tell me oh whose fault it is. Its your fault your the one behind the register not paying attention how you try to blame me for what your not paying attention to. Ridiculous.They get 1 star only because the pharmacy people are always nice, their line can be from the back to the front of the store and they'll have two registers open with two people. Never had a issue they always answer your questions. Thanks pharmacy at least you guys know what customer service is.

Your employee Ernest is what makes your store so great and stick out from any other Rite-Aid and any other store altogether. He delivers the best customer service that I've ever seen. He is friendly, greets every customer that walks through the door and seems to know every customer that shops at the store. He takes time to acknowledge and play with every child never ignoring a child. His attention to the children is never creepy or overbearing. He comes off as a very genuine person that truly cares about his customers and its very obvious that he takes great pride in his job, the appearance in the store and customer satisfaction. He is without any doubt your greatest and most valuable asset and employee. Kudos to whoever hired him!!!

I went there to buy sunglasses. A lot of them were dirty, but that's because people who are going to "buy" them apparently need to touch every single one. I also noticed a lot of them were broken which means whoever works there should be getting rid of them. I should not be looking for a pare, & having to go through different broken one's to find one that is not. I showed that to one of the female employee's who was walking around. She said people shopping do that. LoL. 🤣 Obviously, but clean up what's not good to be selling anymore. The Assistant manager when I walked in was respectful. He was the cashier, & then another one came along because the line was getting longer. After I paid $30 for the glasses I asked for a napkin to clean them up a bit more. A female employee with a little attitude problem telling me there were none. So I had to say it. I just spent $30 here so please give me a napkin. That's when her snotty looking face found one behind the register. Like I said the Assistant Manager was a nice guy. Respectful. He needs to teach the other employee's to be the same. Also get rid of what is broken. You obviously can not sell stuff like that.

Don't know what or WHO is the owner of this franchise but the entire customer service experience has gone COMPLETELY DOWN HILL,was here tonight at 8:30pm and none of the self checkouts were in working order, just HORRIBLE.

This Rite Aid does not serve the community. Besides the pharmacy, the rest of the store does nothing to assist costumers. I was just in there attempting to purchase cold and flu medicine, along with Airborne for my child who’s ill at the moment, and because everything is locked up, I had to press the buzzer for something to come and assist me with retrieving the items for purchase. I stood there 20 minutes waiting for someone to come and help. No one came. I managed to spot an employee assisting someone else in another aisle, I waited for her to finish, then asked if she could do the same for me. This woman flat out told me to ask someone else for help. I explained to her that it’s been 20 minutes and no one’s come to help and I really needed the items. She walked off. The security guard, who is usually the person that comes and opens up the locked case, was standing at the door on his phone while I walked out. I left empty handed and drove to Target to get what I wanted. I will never shop in this Rite Aid ever again.

I usually come to this location often, but little did I know that two Jamaican male employees would behave rude, unfriendly and impatient to me, and it bothers me! In fact, I have a lot to say.One time around January of this year, I used their plastic bottle/can machine changing some plastic bottles and cans, but up at the cashiers' desk to change my ticket receipt from the machine to deposit, I unexpectedly got an unfriendly and suspicious attitude from the male cashier when I was giving the deposit receipt the male cashier when he asked me ""What is this?" in a negative tone. Additionally, the same cashier said to me "sir, please" in an ignorant and rude tone when I was trying to explain the issue of the bottle/can's moving belt; I thought that was uncalled for, because he shouldn't have act to me like that, especially being busy at work and not having such a good mood where he should not take it out on anybody. But at least the cashier gave my money the machine owes me.Second, I was having a nervous experience using my new virtual OTC app from my phone for the first time, the male cashier assumed I was acting crazy for nothing, and he didn't give me any small quick help of how to use my app properly. He did not even know or cared how panicky I was feeling as I was using my OTC app Luckily, though, I re-remembered how to use my money from my OTC account to pay for my groceries.Lastly, two days ago, when I was bringing some cans and bottles to the machine, a Rite Aid employee whom I never seen before said told me positively from afar told me that the bottle and can changing machine was not working. But here's was a catch: there was the Jamaican guy who often works at the cashier front desk working with another employee I wasn't acquainted with, but when I was saying that I warned him weeks ago about the issue of the bottle and can machine, he just ignored me of saying nothing, and he didn't even forgive if I felt hurt and offended by his verbally scornful tone. And even when I was trying ask if there was any pre-workout products, he just said gave me some short ignorant response with profanity language - that's when I walked out of the Rite Aid store instantly as I was on my way going home.After those three visit, it made me question myself if I ever want to do anymore future visits at the Rite Aid corner store location of East 231st street and White Plains Road in the Bronx. Fortunately, I was never the first or only customer going through this Rite Aid location dealing with rude and less friendly employees. And I was told that a few people, whom I know, discontinued working over there due issues and tensions with their co-workers. My mother even went over there a couple of times and she didn't like the vibe from some of those employees, especially going over there to ge her prescription. I will try not to ever go back to this location, unless those two Jamaican employees either change their acts to treat me and costumers more appreciative and friendly or no longer work over there, because their attitudes were unfriendly, nasty and ignorant - I don't like people being like that to me due to my mental and emotional health coordinated with my two developmental disabilities: high functioning autism and low intellectual disability.

This my 2nd review of this particular Rite Aid and still no improvements! They almost never answer the phones which causes people to have to come to the store to handle things that could have been handled over the phone. After my 1st review, I received a call apologizing saying they will look into it.....they didn't. I went to the pharmacy and asked, "When is a good time to call to speak with someone?" and the pharmacist looked me dead in my eyes and said "Never". Unacceptable! You're dealing with people's medications. Do better.

The staff at Rite Aid 4159 white plains rd are always friendly and helpful even when I’m not picking up a prescription. However, when the pharmacist Joseph , is very helpful and makes sure that I understand the prescription I am about to receive.in addition he has a phenomenal memory at recalling what prescriptions I have received and allergies I had to insure there is no adverse reactions. He has reminded me on occasion the important of my medication. I’m really happy they care about my health.

I've been going here for years!But this time will be my last, we waiting in line over 30 mins just to hear my rx was not filled yet and I would need to come back later on that day. When I came back the pharmacist was rude and obnoxious, it was like I was fighting for my own medication with him, his decent was AsianI hope they find someone would actually loves there job & has a love and care for pts/ customers. This guy needs to goI can already see the pharmacy will lose a lot of customers, with he way he treats and speak to peopleThis is definitely my first and last

Seriously, what's not to love? A tried and true company with a wealth of experience in offering everyday items we use on a continual basis. I've ordered many times from their online store and have had zero issues. Packaged well, decent shipping times and unused, un-touched items.I mean, need I say more? This company has a dedicated customer and I'll keep coming back as long as they offer free shipping and I never receive a used or opened product.

I've been living in this area of the Bronx, NY for 13 yrs and this Rite Aid has horrendous customer service! From long check out lines, with either you are in line for 10-15mins or the self checkout machines are always having issues! Also it could be 10-20mins until you get any assistance to obtain an item in aisle that is locked away/for any employee to come to your aid. Management obviously does not care! I've seen so many employees come and go that worked this location. I bet it has to do with ridiculous management, worked conditions, no support, etc. I can go to a Rite Aid in Manhatthan, NY (which there's rarely any) and the customer service is leagues above.

This store is never open on time . Some of the staff will be at the register on their cell phone's. They will have their earbuds in their ear. You'll be thinking they're talking to you. You'll say "excuse me what did you say," and they'll point to your ear as if that's the norm. It's very unprofessional but I'm pretty sure I'm wasting my time writing this review. I'm going to put it up here anyway and hopefully someone sees it and does something about it. Also they have to do a better job of stocking the store.
