Came in on 1/20 at around 3pm for a .22 for the wife. She's not too familiar with rifles so I was helping her shop. Immediately we could tell there was going to be issues. Patrick was polite and helpful. The other associate, a more demure young man, was standoffish with an attitude. Almost as if he was just looking for reasons.After 30 minutes of waiting around (while they were obviously in back watching the cameras as if we were suspect) - they refused the sale because I "handled" the rifle, even though she has all proper NY licensing and we proved to be a married couple. I presented my drivers license as well.It was a .22. You would have though she was trying to buy a 50cal. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere where you won't be treated like a criminal. We won't be giving them a single dollar from now on.I'll add as well that they did not give my wife back her photocopied paperwork until she went back to the counter, at which point she came upon the demure associate joking about the situation with another customer. Unbelievable. My wife came back out upset and in tears.

The staff is consistently unknowledgeable- although seemingly willing to help, they're incapable of doing it. Every time I go, they have to get a manager to use my sales tax free status. If you buy a hundred items, be prepared to juggle them to the parking lot because they don't have bags or boxes.Many of the items have no SKU tag- so bring a pen and paper so that you can write down the number on the hook so you don't have to run back a quarter mile to the shelf to find out what the SKU is.The prices are in the low retail range, the quality is also in the low retail range.

Awesome for the area. Still confused on the name but you forget about that after you walk through the doors, the Awesomeness takes over!!! Don't expect any smoking deals. Things do go on sale but it's tight, almost seems manufacturers push the "on sale" deals.I find myself going there for very specific purposes or if I haven't been there in a few months. Nothing draws me in to just aimlessly walk in every couple weeks. Most box stores you have a feeling that you have to stop in just to see if your missing out on a deal. Not Runnings!

Great store they always have what I’m looking for. Best of all worlds. I can buy ammo or tools or ice fishing stuff, dog training equipment and then heck a dozen baby chickens also!

Not only is runnings a great company but the brockport store is great. The manager deserves much credit, as well as all the staff for always being super professional and helpful. In addition, runnings has great products with good prices.

They have a large selection of merchandise and some old style candy which is something we were hunting. Enjoy going in there and looking around at all of the different merchandise.

I was in their store today and let me tell you when they had the shoe aisle stacked 8 to 9:10 boxes high up on the top shelf and a customer was reaching to get them and I was on the other side knocked a whole bunch of boots in the boxes on me taking myself to the emergency room I have a concussion in a pulled muscle in my shoulder but the fact of the matter is yes a lot of workers did hear the crash they come running they get me to shut down talk to me for a bit I had asked for ice then we're filling out forms when in reality they did not get no information from the guy that did this and two they should have actually said hey let's call an ambulance for you when they knew I had a big bump on my head I don't know I just found it to be that they need to be educated more than workers they're lucky wasn't more of an elderly person but I'm still somewhat old they should have called for an ambulance I called and updated them with my report of what was going on I feel like the manager I talked to I got no sympathy this could be a lawsuit on your guys's hand it is I'm walking out of the store he has if there is anything more he could do for me and I jokingly said yeah and give me a pair of cowboy boots that I originally come in here to buy I was joking he was we'll see what we can do and he laughs you know what you guys could have called and checked up on me yourselves you had my phone number in the report to you guys could offered me something even in the store to come back and come shopping three I want to come back to that store just like my husband said and see if you guys removed the height of them boots being stacked that high yes I'm a little upset cuz I'm the one sitting here suffering and being in pain I will never come back to that store again

Store’s a mess. Lousy customer service. Severely understaffed. Management doesn’t seem to care and hires young, inexperienced college kids who care even less. Done shopping here!

First time in here and love it! They carry everything from tools, pet supplies, clothing, candy/sodas, toys and outdoor needs. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this store to anyone. There's something for everyone here!

IF I COULD I WILL GIVE THIS STORE ZERO STAR RATING!!! My experience today was HORRIBLE. The employees treated me like and was robbing the store. I went with my family to the store today because I wanted to buy a hoodie, I was wearing a jacket when I came in but took it off and placed it on my sons stroller when trying on the hoodie. I gave the hanger to my kid to play with. I was walking around then put my jacket back on and I took the hanger from my kid, a worker saw me and paged someone. Thats when I realized something was wrong. I told my family that an employee was watching me, a few minutes later I noticed he was walking by and watching me again. After I noticed two woman one young and chubby and other older, walking by and they were looking at me then stopped and looking at me again and whispering something and looking at my jacket that I felt very uncomfortable . I tried to talk to them but they just left. Then the younger one was standing behind my back and looking at my jacket again. Everywhere I went there was employees watching me. This made me worried. When I went to pay for the hoodie, I asked to speak with the manager because I felt that if I didn’t, they will stop me to check me anyways. I took my jacket off and showed him that it was mine and I told him how the employees were acting and I felt very uncomfortable and very upset to the point that I was shaking. Those employees were very unprofessional the manager should check cameras to see how unprofessional those 2 ladies acted. The manager was apologizing for what happened. This was the last time I'll be at this store!!!If you train your employees to act like they did you give them bad example and you gonna loose customers. Better ask them to learn what products you selling because my jacket wasn’t even from your store.

There’s places screwed up big time I’ve got guns in New York, Tennessee, and tons of other states with no problems I come here I buy a gun and the gun person at the desk said after I went to my background check and everything and passing that he didn’t wanna sell me the gun and he’s allowed to not sell me the gun because he works there so I ended up telling him that was messed up and I’m just gonna go ahead and tell you right now anyone to buy a gun here is crazy again this is the Runnings in Brockport New York

It's a great store. They have tons of bow hunting and fishing equipment. I purchased a target bag today and it was mislabeled. They let me buy it for the price on the shelf even though it was wrong. Loads of hand guns, shotgun and rifles to check out. Almost every caliber ammo you might need, no 243 or 270 today though. Huge camo selection and outdoor clothing. This is my go to for anything Stihl.

Came in to get a .22 and a 12g Benelli. Phil at the gun counter was knowledgable, helpful and extremely personable. Every time we come in, me and the boys look for him to assist us.Great guy to have on the team!! Thanks again Phil!
