Every time I walk through the doors of Lift Bridge I am greeted with such kindness and smiles. Their book selection is fantastic and I always leave with a few new books plus a stuffed animal or toy gift for one of the littles in my life (and sometimes for myself!)

I lived in Brockport as a child and have always been very fond of lift bridge book shop. after moving away, it was always top on the list of places I wanted to go when I visited. now that I live in NY again, i very much enjoy coming to just browse, or when I'm in need of a specific book for myself, or a gift for someone else. tons of books to choose from, and lots of toys and other gifts as well. one of my favorite places for sure!

Super cute little bookshop! They’ve got a big selection and the workers are always friendly and helpful. It’s a treat to have a place like this right here in town!

I've been living near the brockport area for about three years, and this library is my favorite place to go. There is genuine care and effort that is put into the place and it shows. There is so much to explore, not only with books but with gifts like little crystals or puppet plushies too! I will say there is a huge problem with overpricing of certain things in the upstairs area. Sometimes the prices have been so odd that I looked up the exact product, only to find out that you could get the same thing for half of the price, unused and brand new from the manufacturer themselves. I appreciate the downstairs area a lot because there are awesome books for super cheap, I just wish that the posters that were being sold down there were more appropriate for all audiences. (You dont usually see some of these images in a library.) There are some posters of women who are being sexualized and glorified for their bodies. It sends a weird message when the library has books and toys mostly marketed for children. It is okay to have adult books but usually they are not as openly provocative as some of the posters I have seen during my visits, and I usually go with my family who consist of both adults and children.

We were in town for my sister's wedding. I used to frequent this bookstore as a kid. I promised I would take my 11-year-old there before we left town. The selection is amazing! The store is super clean and well kept. The associate we spoke to diligently worked to help my son find a new series that he would be interested in. She even spoke to him about one of his favorite authors and the encounters she has had with him. (He now loves the author even more which I didn't know was possible.)I never find books that interest me anymore as an adult which makes me sad, but even I found something! It was super nostalgic and it's great to know a small local business is still booming and they are passionate about helping their customers. I would highly recommend this place to anybody and it's well worth a drive if needed.

I loved this place. I was looking for different things for gifts for Christmas and they had so many different toys and books for kids and adults that I have never seen on Amazon. Such a cute locally owned bookstore. Well worth the drive.

It's such a friendly, fun bookstore. So much more personal than the big box store. If they don't have what you're looking for they will happily order it. And the basement has a lovely selection of used books for very reasonable prices.

It's great having a local bookshop where I can browse books I want to read. The staff will order books for you if they don't have them in stock. My kids love going here too. It's more than just books. There are cool games for all ages and toys and stuffed animals for kids.

This store is such a treasure. Besides being a great local bookstore, I love the collection of creative toys they carry. For Easter I was looking for small things for a basket and one thing I picked up was a moon torch (type of flashlight) that was a big hit with my two-year-old and 5-year-old grandchildren. They love the song "Moon, Moon, Moon" by Laurie Berkner and sang the song while using the torch, in a darkened room, over and over. I got several other things that were equally enjoyed. I noticed they are now carrying some Fat Brain toys. I love these educational, creative, and imaginative toys that this company offers. Thank you Lift Bridge for offering such a great, fun selection for all ages.

This gem has been a part of the Brockport community for so long. It's a joy to see it still open and thriving. There is an excellent variety of new and used books for every reader. If you're looking for the perfect gift for a child in your family, there is a huge selection of toys and games as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Love the downstairs for all the art supplies. It’s a really reasonable selection for a small town bookstore. And upstairs has a great collection of games and a good offering of books. I’ve gone in without a plan before and bought plenty of books on a whim because there’s so many fun choices.

A fantastic, locally-owned bookstore. One of the only locally-owned and run bookstores left in the state. Great selections of books, educational toys, and more! This was a fun place when I was a kid, and I am SO GLAD that it is still there today! If they don't have what you are looking for, they can order it in. A great place to shop!

I have been to Lift Bridge Book Shop several times, and every time I go it is a great experience! Ordering online has also always been a smooth process. I live about 30/45 minutes away but I enjoy making the drive out when I do (and I will continue to visit)! It feels great shopping at independent bookstores and helping the local community.

A fantastic little local book store situated near the canal for ease of purchasing a rare find and enjoying the reading on the banks of the canal in the rich sunlight. The staff are friendly and polite, always eager to help with locating that perfect read. Downstairs carries used books and art supplies and a bathroom for those who hear the call while roving. In the back are a ton of toys, games and books for young readers. Great people and great prices.

Got a book for a dollar and I have them two dollars and instead of giving me change because of 8 cents change they just gave me a dollar back, really useful because I don't collect change. Good people.
