I live in PA and I come to the veterinary Village Animal Health Center which is two hours from my home. Blu has gotten the best care with them. Medical care as well as boarding care. After boarding he comes home so happy compared to when I boarded him at other places. The staff is friendly and Dr. Haroush is the best.

Highly recommended! My french bulldog Bear was in so much sudden pain, it was so bad that I took him to an emergency vet. I took him home after waiting 4 hours and not seeing a doctor. I returned the next morning and was told that he had a slipped disc (no X-rays were taken) and was sent home with 3 medications. He was still in so much pain 3 days later that I decided to not wait for a recommended MRI. No vets near me had the capability or were booked out over a month, there was no way I could let Bear suffer that long. I found Dr. Haroush on Google and made an appt for the next day - Bear’s 5th birthday. I drove nearly an hour to the appointment and it was well worth it! I told Dr. Haroush that I wanted an MRI and he informed me that it is not always necessary and could be an unnecessary cost. He checked Bear out and was able to narrow down where the pain was coming from then told me he would do x-rays and bloodwork and create a treatment plan from there. I appreciate that he didn’t just agree to do the MRI as the cost is about $4,500. I left Bear and came back in a couple of hours to pick him up. Dr. Haroush came up with a treatment plan, explained it to me and answered all of my questions without rushing away. He put him on different medication than received from the ER, gave him injections while there and sent him home with just 2 medications. I was so happy to pick him up and learn that Bear also received a complimentary bath, nail clipping, etc. Fast forward to under 24 hours later and Bear is in no visible pain, he finally slept well through the night and was able to make it through his morning walk without me having to carry him back home for the first time since he was injured. He has a follow up visit in two weeks but I am surprised at how well is is doing already! Still on strict rest except for walks but I am so relieved and less stressed. Thank you!

One of the scariest moment in life is knowing you could lose someone you love. I will never forget how amazing, professional and honest Dr. Haroush was when we bought Pilar, our Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix in to The Animal Health Center. He explained everything in detail and unrushed throughout the process.Pilar was having bleeding from the nose and after bringing her several times to two top animal hospitals and ER’s in New Jersey, they misdiagnosed and treated/ordered tests for cancer. They ordered Rhinoscopic and CT scans but didn’t have appointments available for those procedures for over a month. As the bleeding continued, we called everywhere from Maryland to Pennsylvania and finally found Animal Care Center fortunately Dr. Haroush had the advanced equipment and appointments available immediately.Upon first examining Pilar Dr. Haroush questioned the diagnosis and decided rather than begin with the ordered tests he would do some other tests. His experience and knowledge lead him to diagnose Pilar as having two tick-bourne blood infections, that had caused her to become anemic and lose 30% of her blood. Had his expertise not corrected the misdiagnosis or if we hadn’t found the appointment available immediately we likely would have lost Pilar within days.Pilar was immediately hospitalized for her 5 night stay as this disease was at a critical stage and had gone unnoticed at the other animal hospitals in New Jersey. Fortunately, she responded well to the Doctor’s course of action and we were able to bring her home.There is no other way to say it, Dr. Haroush and The Animal Center were a miracle for us, they saved Pilar’s life and we will forever be grateful.Pilar is a nervous dog and after the first time we visited her at the Animal Health Center she was happy to go to back to her room with the staff, that's how we knew they were treating her incredibly well.For us, the continued drive from NJ to have Pilar seen by Dr. Haroush is a trip we look forward to.With all this care the Veterinary bills can certainly pile up, we were very happy to be met with a very reasonable invoice at the end of the ordeal. The staff and doctors are amazing here. When my dog woke up he was struggling to breathe. They took him right away and started treating him. They reviewed next steps and let me know I could call for updates at any time. When they called me, they went thru the diagnosis, next steps, what was happening and why, how they were addressing the issues and how he was doing. They did not rush me off the phone but rather made sure I understood and was feeling better if I could give them a million stars, I would. They saved his life. Thank you so much!! Highly highly recommend.

Dr. Haroush and his staff are by far the BEST!!! I brought in my Yorkie Idris who suddenly developed paralysis and was unable to stand, walk, or even hold himself up straight when I was carrying him. He was only barely able to move his head. I was so sad, worried and heartbroken thinking I would have to put him down; I was not ready for that!! Thankfully doing some research online I found the Veterinary Village. I called and explained the situation and scheduled the appointment for the next day. Once I got to the office the staff was so friendly and promptly took us into the exam room. Dr Haroush came and examined Idris and asked basic questions after his assessment and test we discovered Idris had a herniated disc on C3 and C4 which caused his total paralysis. Idris underwent surgery and was admitted for 5 days. During his stay the staff was attentive and provided me daily updates. It’s now been almost 2 months since the surgery and I’m so blessed to say that Idris has regained full control and movement. I owe it all and I’m extremely thankful to Dr. Haroush and his staff.

Dr. Haroush is an excellent surgeon. He performed TTA rapid (Acl surgery) on my 18 month old lab and we could not be more thrilled w the outcome. I will happily admit that I’m that dog mom who cried my eyes out dropping her off and was a nervous wreck but he was beyond understanding and the entire staff was great. I even called at 2am to check on her and the night tech answered on the first ring to tell me she was sleeping soundly. We picked her up 2 days post surgery and she came out walking on her surgical leg!!! I was amazed. It’s been 6 months since her surgery and you would never be able to tell she had it. I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone there. My girl is back to her old self!

Oh my god why I didn’t even see these comments here before visiting….. this place is totally a scam… I drove 2 hour from NJ, and needed a health certificate to travel (this place charges $449!!! this is like OMG price) . they said they need to do a physical exam as a step of the issuance and charged me $149 which was way too much as it’s usually 50 bucks but after that they told me I don’t have rabies record so they can’t issue a health certificate… if you can’t issue why you charge me for a physical test? I feel VERY UPSET, as if they took me as a COMPLETELY FOOL, I had to find another vet who cost $300 for physical exam and certificate together.. compared to 449 + 149 charged here... what a money scammer..update: tried to call that yossi haroush doctor 5 times asking for a refund, and this guy refused to call back and explain this.. how unprofessional he is

Dr. Haroush and his team at the animal health center are excellent professionals who is best interest is your dogs health and happy life. I truly believe and highly recommend his advices. He did a surgery on my sharpei-lab mix Jessabell. This is a really long recovery process -12 to 16 weeks- healing for dogs but as he said everyday and everyday her leg just got better and angle of the foot getting better everyday thankfully. We like to thank to Dr. Harush and his team Jose and Nisha for taking care of our Daugther!PS. He also really care for animals as he didn’t let us walk out since we couldn’t afford to whole thing and he gave us a generous discount 🙏

Dr. Haroush And staff at Animal Health Center have done an amazing job caring for our Kobe girl. She was only 3 months old and fell off of our loft balcony. She broke her hip and needed surgery for a speedy recovery. Due to the intensity of her injuries Kobe was required to stay at the animal hospital for several days prior to and after her surgery. Because she had been recently adopted by my fiancé and I we wanted to make sure she knew we were still here and would get her the care she needed. Dr. Haroush And staff allowed me visitation to see her and because she did so well with surgery she was able to come home earlier than expected. Her recovery time was minimal and Kobe was quickly back to herself running and playing. We are grateful for the care that was given by this amazing team!

Dr. Yossi Haroush has been amazing. After a failed femur reposition elsewhere, Dr. Haroush recommended a surgical procedure. He gave us great follow up care and instructions. Nothing came to a surprise because he explained everything in detail. Our pup is back in good health and it's all thanks to Dr. Haroush.

Doctor Haroush is the absolute worst. He is emotional and unprofessional and instructs his reception staff to lie to you. They are shady about releasing your dog's medical records and try to coerce you to change your *honest* Google review before selling you the medicine that your dog needs. They do not care about your pet, only about their business. Please choose better for your animal. You've been warned.

Miscommunication in this place is huge, and it seems like they love your pockets so be aware of this! I was there on Monday/Tuesday and was told my dog needed a physical test ($149) in order to determine whether or not he could continue his prescription diet, I was never informed he needed a fecal test as well, which is extra money, I was told if they had to add any other procedures that would be extra money, but I already knew the deal so I told my mom to be aware and to only pay what was promised, and she still was charged for a fecal test that I was not aware of… and because the sad reality is that if you’re dumb, they’ll pick your pockets, I don’t mind paying extra for a fecal test, and if I’m making a big deal out of this, is because of their poor communication.

We couldn't be happier with Dr. Haroush and the staff at the Animal Health Center at the Veterinary Village. Bella our 6 year old labor-doddle has had remarkable results with the TTA Rapid surgery on both of her legs. (She tore both of her ACL's) She was in a lot of pain and was having a lot of trouble walking. Today it has been 3 weeks and we have to slow her down. She wants to run. Our PUP is doing great!

Please do NOT take your pet here. My dog had to be brought here for a sonogram which I have no idea if it was really done cause you can’t get your records. It was Christmas Day. I was lectured that I needed to stick with this doctor or he would treat my dog medically different if we didn’t commit. I was not told of any pricing. I arrive to pick up my dog and was told the bill was 1700 dollars. I could not pay by check and only had 1000 dollars so asked if I could put hat amount and the rest by check. They would not release my DOG. Then finally the front desk called the doctor and said I could put the 1000. Asked if I could have my dog back. The guy would not answer. Then lied and said I could take him home. I knew by his face that was not the case and asked him to sign a document stating my dog could come home. He wouldn’t do it. Back he went to call the doctor. I could have my dog but without his medication. Long story short I found a way to get the funds. How do you send a sick dog home with out his meds. Zero compassion. It was Christmas. Made his staff lie to my face VERY UPSETTING EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE

I brought my cat to see Dr Haroush because he was having urinary issues and no other vet could tell me why or even find the cause. The two vets I previously took him to did absolutely nothing for him. It was a friend that told me to take my cat to see Dr Haroush. Thank God I did. My poor cat was suffering from a urinary tract infection and crystals. A urinary track infection and crystals in a male cat is very serious.Dr Haroush is thorough and extremely knowledgeable. His hospital is beautiful and spotless and he has a staff of knowledgeable and pleasant employees. He also provides a host of other services. I highly recommend him.

YOU DON’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. After getting an estimate on surgery for my French Bulldog of $7100 to correct narrow nares and soft palate to clear his airways, we reluctantly booked the surgery because we were referred to Dr. Haroush by a family friend. We were told the recovery would be 3-7 days in their facility as well. The day before surgery, they called me to tell me their equipment used for the surgery broke and had to cancel the procedure.Not once were we ever able to reach the doctor for questions (he is very well protected by his staff), nor get an email response from staff leading up to surgery. Any good animal parent would want to ask a few questions prior to their animal going into a surgery like this. They make you feel like a pest. Imagine that for 7k. There is a way to be with clients and a way not to be. They choose the latter. Furthermore, I’m very skeptical that their machinery did in fact even break, but that’s neither here nor there.Once we got called about the cancellation, I was forced to make another move regarding this specialty surgery. I asked my vet in Manhattan for some more referrals. They were able to recommend a facility in Huntington Long Island where the staff and doctors were leaps and bounds more helpful, receptive of our concerns, and willing to go out of their way to help. The estimate was also less than half of this place. We payed $3430 all said and done with a one night hospital stay.Do your research, there are other places out there.

It was truly a blessing to come to this hospital. Dr. Haroush and his amazing staff saved our 15 year old dog from a painful death. We were thoroughly impressed with the amount of medical information & treatment plans, all presented with the right amount of intellect, science & compassion. This is the benchmark for high quality veterinary care. Not only has our dog recovered from the severity of the illness and the complexity of the operation, but he is now behaving as though he is several years younger. Let me first start off by saying that I live one hour and half from this facility. My dog need a (rare) special surgery and I was referred to this facility. The facility didn’t smell of dog or cat when I walk in. The place was super duper clean the floors were shining the examination room was clean as well. The atmosphere was lovely no smell of animals at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. Finally I met Dr. Haroush he was concerned, straightforward and very knowledgeable about the surgery that my dog needed. I was scared but after talking with Dr. Haroush I felt a little better. So I decided to leave him there. I was on pins and needles because they had to run tests to make sure that he could have the surgery so it took a couple of days before the surgery actually took place. So after the surgery Dr. Haroush called me to tell me that everything went well. I was so excited and happy even though my baby had to stay a little longer to heal. The staff knows me because I called all most every day to check to see how he was doing. This is my new Veterinary care place for my dog. Very happy and satisfied with the service I received for my dog.Sidebar I read the other reviews about the prices they need to really look into other places because this place’s price was excellent compared to what other places was trying to charge me.

Dr Haroush and his team are amazing. My 12 yr old golden lab needed a surgery and I browsed through over 3 dozen animal hospitals on google and yelp in the downstate area and New Jersey, going in depth into their reviews and calling a dozen before settling on Animal Heath Center. The location was easy to find- Waze took us straight there; an hour from NYC. Patient intake was painless, the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr Haroush is the most compassionate and educated vet I’ve ever met. He conducted the consultation and broke down every step of the process from pre-screening to procedure and the possible complications along the way. He answered all of my questions in depth without coming off as patronizing, which I’ve encountered before. After the consultation we were able to schedule the surgery for the same day and doc called me once the surgery was finished to tell me everything went smoothly. I’m extremely attached to my dog and felt comfortable to leave him in the care of dr harosh and his team.They are a 24hr hospital so I was able to call at anytime to check on my baby’s status. I was able to pick him up the next day and now he’s home and healing nicely. Highly recommend!!!

I would highly recommend Veterinary Village @ Briarcliff - Dr. Haroush and their staff are beyond exceptional! Coming here was the best decision we made for our dog's care. We brought our 2 year old lab Maya here for a second opinion regarding an injury to her jaw and teeth. Thank God we did, Dr. Haroush saved her life! He acted quickly to remove the broken teeth and treat her for the open, severely infected wound that went untreated by the Emergency Vet we had brought her to. Maya had to stay overnight following surgery and I was a nervous wreck - the overnight staff was so kind, even though I called three times in the middle of the night to check on her. Dr. Haroush continued to reassure me that my baby was going to be okay - speaking only positively about her treatment going forward. His confidence and compassion toward her healing means so much to myself and my family! We will continue to bring Maya here, I am so grateful for him and this facility!

Highway robbery, during our time of need! Sadly, we recently got to the point of needing euthanasia services for our 18 year old cat. It happened to be a holiday weekend and our usual vet's office was closed. I called Animal Health Center and fortunately, I had the good sense to ask (despite the sad and emotional situation) what the cost would be. I was told the cost would be $1,100. What? For a couple injections that take just a few minutes, and then disposing of the (4 lb) body. That seemed crazy.We then called another local veterinary hospital. Got a price that was literally half of what Animal Health Center quoted us. Naturally, we went with the second place. At the second place, we were seen immediately, and received very compassionate, efficient care. For a much more reasonable fee.Please don't use Animal Health Center without asking about the fees, ahead of time!

Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Haroush and the staff at Veterinary Village Animal Health CenterExtraordinary circumstances. Extraordinary medical and personal care! Our Siberian Husky cross, Akira, tore the cruciate ligament of her left hind leg on July 27th and then her right hind cruciate ligament on August 20th. We had driven down from Canada to visit family and friends in Westchester. With her inability to walk, we, being visitors, desperately searched the Internet for someone with the expertise to attend to our medical predicament. We had already made plans to have the surgery (TPLO) done when we returned to Canada but that was weeks away. Most of the vets we contacted locally and in Canada informed us of one type of surgery (TPLO) that would require months to heal one leg prior to surgery on the second.Fortunately, we found Dr. Haroush and the staff at Veterinary Village Animal Health Center. With no exaggeration, they were an absolute godsend! Dr. Haroush’s attention to detail, insistence that the type of surgery needs to fit the dog and her physiology, and his compassion for our duress was both comforting and reassuring. With a complete appreciation for our situation, Dr. Haroush assured us that the TTA-Rapid would be the best surgery as it was crucial to get Akira up and walking for her best health. He performed surgery on one leg followed by the other with appropriate healing time in between. During the nine days Akira was in their care, at which time we called the Center at least 20 times, it was obvious that the staff cared profoundly for her and could inform us immediately as to her well-being and her progress.After each surgery and at specific times during the nine days, Dr. Haroush contacted us with detailed updates. His laser-focused care for Akira was above and beyond anything we could have anticipated. Akira walked out of the Center on September 1st with an overview of her health and detailed instructions about her follow up and medication and the care we will need to provide for her while she continues to heal over the next two months.In this day and age, it is difficult to know who you can trust when it comes to the care of your beloved pet. We are overjoyed and blessed to have connected with Dr. Haroush and the staff at Veterinary Village Animal Health Center.

This vet saved my puppy's life. Anytime I go there the staff is so friendly and helpful. He is so honest and so caring. My dog has stayed for a week and my puppy returned happy and healthy. He is the most caring vet I have encountered. Every time I call I always get a live person and to have a place that is spotless is very impressive.

They only care about getting money from their patrons. They totally didn't tell me I had to have a follow up after I read given medicine for my dogs dry eyes. They said she would have to be on the medicine for her life. So I tried to get chewy to get authorization for the medicine and they ignored it. So the first order was canceled by Chewy since they didn't get an answer. I even tried calling the vet again and they would give the message. Over a month went by then I put another order for same medicine and still no reply. I called and finally talked to the technician and she stated I was supposed to follow up, I told her when I left the dog for boarding to have the dr look at her but it seems no one told the dr this. Then I was told I would then have to follow up every 2-4 months to get eye exam? For what? You took an eye exam and stated it was dry eyes and she would need to be on meds forever. So why more tests? Their protocol I was told. I said to just keep taking money and not care about the dog. This place is worthless, really not worth bringing your pet. They will milk you like they did me. Trust me, more issues but too long to keep writing. I tried but no more for me.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, MY HUSBAND & I ARE VERY PICKY AS TO WHERE OUR PETS GO! Not sure why there are a few bad reviews but here is our experience, believe me we sugar coat nothing!We set an appointment for the MRI to be done on our boy dog Trouble's brain. We have been all around our area of Long Island in which, NONE of the neurologists were available they were on vacation or I had to set an appointment. THIS facility took us right away. We all know our pets are our babies so we felt like yeah with a possible brain tumor...this is an emergency so we went here. When I booked our appointment with Evelyn, it was easy!Next morning, we walked into the facility and it was the cleanest veterinarian hospital I had ever seen. We were put into an exam room to wait which I thought was great because it was more private. The nurses (Stacy & Evelyn and the receptionist) were so nice and Dr. Haroush came in and explained what was to come prior and after the MRI. We were scared, we were worried but we went home to work and wait for the call after the procedure was done. We received a call from Dr. Haroush that all went well and they even bathed him & cut his nails! Picking him up was great too, the receptionist up front was nice and got him for us right away with no issues. Mind you, others were charging over 4k JUST FOR THE BRAIN MRI ITSELF! We drove an hour for this facility despite the bad reviews some put up.In conclusion, we went to an awesome facility, with awesome nurses & receptionists, and a great doctor who was very blunt (which we would rather) and got our dog back clean and fine...that's our story. Thank you guys for being awesome! If ANYBODYTHINKS THIS FACILITY IS ALL ABOUT MONEY, CALL UP A FEW PLACES FOR QUOTES AND SEE HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IT IS! Sorry I had to say all of this because there are pet parents out there that need to know!

After going to two other emergency vet clinics this one by far stood out. After hours and hours in other clinics no one was able to diagnose my three year old fatally ill cat. When I went here the front desk was friendly and very helpful. the staff and doctors were very knowledgeable and genuinely caring for my cat and me. They were able to diagnose her and give her treatment within an hour. Would highly recommend coming here for any reason. I will be switching this facility to my primary veterinarian. Just amazing!
