This course has unbelievable potential to be an amazing course. I would rate it nice, has a great layout and worth playing if in the area ( for the discounted aeration rate.) I would not play this course for the advertised full rate. It lacks in the details and little things, no towels in carts, some fairways have lots of debris, some bunkers haven’t been touched in months, driving range on mats is terrible, no locker room, etc. Nonetheless I enjoyed the course and would play again- at a discounted rate

High-end option for a pure golf experience. The fairways feel like a carpet when you walk on them. Great course conditions, true, fast greens. Challenging test of golf. Scenic views - including a phenomenal opening hole. Definitely on the high end price wise (if you're not staying on property), but I can see why they charge it. We were greeted at the bag drop by a polite, smiling young man who got us situated and ready to go. I didn't have my best game when I played it, but couldn't argue with the layout or conditions of the course - definitely one to add to your list for any trip you take to Lake George.

One of the most pristine golf courses I have ever seen! I don't know how they do it! A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I strongly recommend this course.

Honestly, if the tee time cost $80-$100, I’d say “great course, would recommend”, but we paid $195, so I’m holding this review to a high standard.The course was fun, but IMO, the club rides the reputation of being a “Donald Ross” course, as opposed to providing elite amenities & pristine conditions that warrant the price tag.Amenities were lacking, carts cost extra - which is fine for normal course, but not included at $195/per (c’mon)? Carts were also dated, ran slow, no electronic gps/scorecard, no towels, no water. Club didn’t have a drink cart, the club house leaves much to be desired - FWIW, I’m a no frills kind of guy that doesn’t need much, but also for the cost, didn’t expect a no frills experience.As for conditions, greens were choppy & beat up, bugs were a big issue, got eaten alive & often had to putt in a swarm of gnats (pay a mosquito guy, it’s worth it). Back 9 had a string of blind holes that weren’t my favorite.Lastly, we were a group of 5 - splitting up into a 3-some & a 2-some. I’m fine with them letting us know not to group up as a 5-some (we weren’t going to, but I’m sure it happens often enough), but tell us once. We were told 3 times before we got up to the 1st hole in a lecturing manner, to the point of insulting, like we were 16 again & doing something we weren’t supposed to in the mall (we’re all closer to 40 now).Despite commentary focusing on the negative, we had a good time, just didn’t think it was worth the price - the issues I highlighted, I wouldn’t have had a material issue with if cost wasn’t such a premium…but got to cross off “playing a Donald Ross course” off the bucket list.

Pristine golf course! Very challenging especially on your first time around. No GPS on carts and cell service is spotty at best so some tee shots can be hit-and-hope. Will definitely be back here next time I am in the area.

We booked a 3:42 18-hole tee time for my dad's 75th birthday for Friday. Nothing said to us about when the course closed. At 7:00, on hole 15, this worker drives over and says all carts have to be in by 7:00. I said nobody ever told us that and why would they book a 18-hole 3:42 tee time if they knew we couldn't finish? He drove away from me as I was speaking. We drive the carts back and I ask the same if we can get a rain check for the back 9, he again drives away from me as I was speaking to him. Will never go back.

Beautiful Course. Tight approaches, tiered greens, and mainly Par 4s makes this course tough to score on but it was a lot of fun. A pricey round and the crew running the place could afford to let their hair down a little... otherwise 5 star Adirondack course.

What a great course! Beautiful condition, great layout. Fastest greens I have ever played on, but nice, every one rolled true. Would play there again in a heartbeat!

This is a course that I compare all other courses to. Every hole has its own character. The only problem is the course doesn't handle rain well. Several holes your t -shot will plug in a fairway or layup. Ocean front properties took this over several years ago and basically hasn't put a dime into it. It's sad, it is a great course but could be so much better.

Definitely not what I was expecting. The course is fairly beat up with many greens burned/under repair. It's seems that they're doing everything they can to maintain the course but with COVID-19 restrictions in place, they're likely operating with a reduced staff. Another casualty of the virus is none of the amenities were open. There's no where to buy food or water so be sure to bring your own.
