We had a great stay here! We stayed in one of the log cabins which was very clean and comfortable. The log cabins are up closer to the road and set back in the trees a bit, but we loved the peacefulness of not being out in the open and it’s only a short drive down to the lake. Heidi was so friendly and helpful when we called to book, too. Overall, it’s a great place to stay and we would definitely go back again!

My first time at Lake George with my family. We stayed in the house which was beautiful. All the conveniences of home but minutes from the water. Beautiful view from our deck. Heidi & Mark were very hospitable.

Perfect weekend getaway with the family. We have been coming to Candlelight Cottages now for a couple years and being a young family of three (soon to be 4) we have already designated this place as our families new end of the summer Lake George tradition. my wife Jen and I just absolutely love this family run resort. Our Log Cabin was extremely well stocked with everything you would need to have a cook out. The cabins are always clean and you can tell they take pride in their resort. Every morning, Staff will even drop by your rentalto clean out the bbq! This is the attention to detail that Candlelight provides. Cant wait for next year!

My boyfriend and I came here in June 2020 when the pandemic was still fresh.. we had a trip to Florida and Vegas for March and April that year that got canceled and we were so bummed. I went searching online for a kind of last minute get away and found this absolute GEM of a place. It’s just far enough away from everything where you get your peace and quiet while at the same time you can go enjoy the strip on lake George as well as do some outlet shopping. Since then we’ve gone back two more times, and plan to keep it a yearly tradition. We do all our own cooking in the cottage (there’s restaurants and grocery stores close by), have some drinks by the fire, and take in the fresh air as well as the beautiful views of the lake. My boyfriend also really loves the fishing. The property is always beautifully kept and the cottages are so adorable and clean. Probably one of my favorite places to be.

We've been coming for 4 years and love every moment. The views are great and cabins are clean and comfortable. The whole family enjoys boating, swimming and fishing right from our front door. The owners are very friendly and warm. And yes... there is now wifi at the lake side cabins.

All I can say is the owners of this property are simply amazing people. Me and my buddy came up to fish the lake George fishing derby for the weekend. Our boat when we woke up Saturday morning was half under water from the wakes the night before. It was a very bad situation and only with the help of ownership we saved our boat. They came down and got right in the water with us and DID WHAT EVER IT TOOK TO FIX OUT PROBLEM. After hours of being at it we got the boat towed out of the water. There efforts will never be forgotten! We are lake George lovers and we know where will be staying for the rest of our adventures!!! Thank you again guys

Beautiful views from picture window and deck.Cabin was clean and roomy and well stocked.Air conditioner was working and adequate. 1 in main room, none in bedrooms.Our unit had a parking spot on a steep blind corner, on 2 occasions a vehicle turned into the spot stopping short of the steps, thank god my kid wasn’t sitting out there.Beach area was about 3000ft down from cabin with nowhere to walk except a winding road with blind “S turns” wide enough for 1 vehicle at a time. Walking back up is not for the weak, Seriously. Office is 200ft elevation above beach area, the equivalent of walking up 18 stories.In my opinion: Lakeside residents are mostly “Longtimers “ with a hint of entitlement who treat the beach area like their backyard and look at you like you’re trespassing in their space, thankfully the public beach was close and a lot “warmer”.Pet peeves: In the year 2018 I expect 3 prong outlets and WiFi that works for more than 5 hrs in 7days.Overall if you came here just to enjoy the outdoors and the views,, again the views, go for it.

Went up for Fathers Day weekend , in our group were 3 firefighters 3 EMT 1 paramedic and 2 retired corrections employees and were contacted after checking out that we took a comforter. We did not nor would we do so. We’ll take our business elsewhere.

We were here 2 times. The owner is extremely rude. The first time, the pilot of the fireplace went off. He flatly refused to come and light the pilot even though it was cold. The second time we went, there was a nasty smell in the penthouse cabin. Again the guy was rude and flatly refused to do anything about it. We haven't gone back since.

Candlelight is just great! Very quiet, excelent location on the Lake. We go up every year and tow our boat to the local marina and dock it at the Candlelight. Property is clean, free firewood and firering to use. Just a nice, quiet place to stay. We love it and look foward to it every year.

I've been going to Candlelight for 30 years now. It's the best place on the lake. Perfect location on the lake, wonderful amenities, and the owners couldn't be nicer. I wouldn't stay anywhere else on Lake George.

We love it here , in the mornings, we see deer and chipmunks and squirrels . This place is Beautiful. The view of the lake is breathtaking.
