Friendly staff very helpful, and they treat the dogs very well and the cats and they love Every single animal in there that goes in and out and they are so helpful with spying in neutering. Your dog and cats. And they also help you with knowing more details in help you with applications. And you can even write the animal's name on the application and it will help them.

I went in with my MIL to look at cats but I decided to look through the dogs I felt instantly drawn to mullberry ( now loki). My husband and I went back to visit him , did application process and did a meet with our other dog, we brought him home and I can honestly say he is by far the best dog ever! Loves to cuddle and him and our danesky are 2 peas in a pod! Thank you to the wonderful staff at the humane society that made our family even more complete❤️

The place itself is decent, the animals seem to be very well cared for and the staff is verynice. However my issue is the adoption process. (For the dogs). I’m not exactly sure how many applicants they allow for one because I’ve seen mixed responses in regards to that. I’m completely fine with the “first come first serve” but if you’re already planning on giving the dog to the first family that applied then maybe let the other know the dog is on hold pending applicant review. Let them fill out an application and if things fall through they’ll be next to consider but do not allow the other people to visit that dog while in queue. Y’all allow families to visit with a dog knowing damn well they may not get him/her and it’s messed up. Then you leave them hanging with no response after they’ve gotten their hopes up and bonded with the animal. Like I said maybe it’s not the best idea but y’all gotta come up with a better alternative for the adoption process than the current system cause this ain’t right especially during the holiday season. I completely fell in love with a dog only to have her ripped away and given to the people who applied first. You should’ve never let me have a one on one when you knew your intentions from jump….should’ve let me fill out the application and sent me on my way. If the first family fell through then you call the next in line to set up an appointment for contact. Now I’m left heartbroken, I was so excited to get a dog for Christmas. I was very traumatized when my dog died 10 years ago and it took all this for me to be ready for another animal. But due to this situation I don’t even want one anymore…EVER. So thank you Binghamton humane society for flaring my PTSD.

Great place for free shots <rabies or dis temp>nice caring people on other hand I would not go here to adopt before either got my 2 dogs went here and some how they think they know what's best for my family and rejected me for a multitude of reason which did not make sense and when confronted said sorry cant change what's on paper blah blah blah would rather put down a dog then give to a loving family was the lesson learned so.. but agin is a great place for free clinic shots and I will not knock that at all but as for adoption they have no clue

I go to the groomer here during the Walk in nail trimming hours every 4-6 weeks with my Bassett Hound. They are kind, friendly, knowledgeable and it only costs $10! I also go to the rabies vaccination clinics here when my dog is due for her vaccine. Supporting the Humane Society is important and they do a great job.

We lost our angel Priya to liver disease. Life's not the same but I know she would want us to help another dog like we helped her.I'm on their website every day, finally went down and walked the halls. We didn't find the one we wanted this time but we will.Thank you to all the organizations like this place. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers. God Bless you all and the animals.

The staff at the BCHS are amazing 🤩 They have the animals best interest first and foremost. They work hard to ensure the dogs/cats are well cared for. The kennels are clean and well maintained. They provide a well needed service for unwanted, homeless and sometimes neglected animals in our community. They are friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. A huge shoutout to all the staff and volunteers at the BCHS!

These folks are so good! They are always working with massive amounts of fur babies. They offer services at much lower rates than local vets. So if you like welcoming strays, they offer several items for nominal fees. My rescues have benefitted from them on a few occasions. Highly recommend.

You are charging a 120.00 for a farell cat that is not mine and as a good Samaritan is trying to reduce the population is just crazy what is the point not all of us have money. It just goes to show you these days it doesn't pay to try to do the right thing

My favorite thing is that they have rooms to visit the cats in, instead of little cages for them.It was perfect for me because, even though I couldn't adopt them, I really needed a hug that day, and the cats I visited made me feel better. They also have dedicated spots to put donations, both outside (as of Jan 2022) and just inside the door. They also offer boarding and grooming services, which I may take them up on.They only have cats and dogs, no other animals.

Very cute and front desk lady is helpful, but sad i couldn't pet the dogs unless i worked there. I understand they have anxiety and some are aggressive. But they should know which ones are fine and which aren't. I find it A bit stupid

This place is awesome and we are so blessed to have them in our town/city. They travel even to other states if need be, to save animals who are abused, neglected or just need extra special attention. We attend many fundraisers throughout the year, they run a top notch, tight ship with warm and friendly staff and volunteers. If you ever decide to get a pet, please Adopt from The Binghamton Humane Society! There is a new fur baby just waiting for your love. We went in for a 10 yr old Beagle who desperately needed a loving family. The third picture I say is: Can you find the kitten? So we kinda adopted a 6wk old kitten too. So meet Ellee the newest Beagle in our home and Snickers the little Peanut wrapped in chocolate kitten.

Staff are very friendly, and adoption process is simple. They have adoption papers right in the store, so you do not have to go home and print anything out. Cats space is very nice, with toys and cat beds. Sometimes rooms are a little smelly, but thats what happens when multiple cats are staying in a room together. They do clean up after them, same with the dogs. I just wish the dogs had more space inside, but the staff and volunteers get those dogs outside a lot for Walks and playtime in a big yard space!

My family dog got out for the 1st time a passing car picked him up and took him. I am so thankful for the person who brought him in and The Humane Society. They took great care of him for his stay there. Thank you so much for what you do for the community!!

We adopted our little dog here last week. He's a happy little guy, but had kennel cough despite having the shot. He's still battling that, but my vet gave medication and the cough is resolving slowly. Other than that, he's a healthy and energetic little guy and I couldn't be happier! Everyone there is super nice and helpful! Go check them out and fall in love with your new best friend! Remember too, it's always better to adopt than to support puppy mills!

I came down from Ithaca and adopted a puppy who needed to return for a spay appt. Had to drop her off at 7:30, couldn't pick her up til 3, parking lot has no shade, and I'm not familiar with Binghamton so it was an uncomfortable 6hr wait. I did go next door to the Park diner for an amazing breakfast. Puppy was well cared for, staff was so very friendly and they've given me the sweetest little girl.

These are the people that provide a net of services aimed at creatures without many choices in life through no fault of their ownOnly special people can provide these services on a routine basisWe should all be so lucky!

Everyone I encountered was fabulous; friendly and helpful. They were concerned with the kind and age of the dog I wanted. Fortunately I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Then the little stinker ran away. I notified them right away and they posted, I posted, my daughter posted immediatly. We were notified by the public he was seen. The BCHS & Vestal dog officer put out live traps. He was on the run for 10 days but with the help of the public and the BCHS he was caught and he is now sitting next to me.I would recommend these folks to anyone who is searching for a fur buddy.

The people here are amazing. My dogs leash broke and I needed a temporary one to get me by for a few days until pay day. I called and gave them my information and the type of dog I have and they were able to help me. The staff is also incredibly friendly !

We went there during their free rabies clinic. I had completely forgotten my dog was due and I called every where and because of Covid every place was booked for months. The Humane society was just about finished with their clinic, but actually waited for me and my dog!!!! Amazing and wonderful people. I arrived 2 mins before close and they were so kind and understanding. I have adopted 3 cats and 2 dogs from here over the years. Just a wonderful place.

I take my cats to Kayley for grooming. She is incredible. I call her the cat whisperer because she can handle even my most challenging cats with ease and truly seems to love every one of them. She's great and I can't imagine anyone else working so well with them.
