Such a wonderful place. The ones who run this organization put their whole hearts into caring for these beautiful cats. The cats are cared for, fed, and well taken care of. The ladies go in every day and dedicate themselves to these wonderful kitties, it’s heartwarming to see! The shelter is always looking for donations, any little bit helps! They also look for things like paper towels, clean towels and blankets, etc.Edit: also a wonderful place to volunteer if you want to help out! They could always use people to sweep and mop for the kitties! 💕

This place is so good, the cats adore the people that visit, I am trying to work there and adopt a cat from there, everybody is always doing something in the cats are always willing to be your little Buddy, the manager was so nice and kind. Everybody was nice, nobody was rude to me, definitely wear pants as the cats will climb up you to get your attention, which I think is so adorable. But overall, 5 stars, great place, they take in a lot of cats that people just dump, which is outrageous that people do that to cats. And I recommend if you're trying to adopt a cat, you do it from here as I am going to adopt the cat as well.

I'm honestly being generous with giving this place two starts. I volunteered here for the last week or so and I have NEVER wasted so much of my time in a place where people have NO RESPECT for anything or anyone but themselves, I have an ankle that I fractured and had surgery on so I had asked to sit down for a minute after completing one of my duties and the lady in charge (who I will not name) sighed and rolled her eyes at me and told me "yea but hurry up we have to get this done " "this" referring to feeding and watering the kitties but I was unfamiliar with how to do everything within the first few days and I was continuously scolded if I didn't do something right, I had appointments I had to make and I was told "your volunteer hours are more important and you can't leave until your finished for the day" she also decided to tell me when to make my appointments so that they didn't interrupt her time. Because if things aren't done by 12:30 pm with help she has to stay late and doesn't want to as if it's everyone else's issue. Not to mention with as many cats as she has there they don't all get along, the first day I was there two of the cats got into a small fight and SHE SPANKED THEM! I have never been so appalled by anything, and she runs strictly on donations but half of the cats she has there are "permanent residents" some of them there's good reason but 95% of them are stupid reasons and half of the time the place is nasty, and the other volunteer is just as rude as the person who runs it. This place is just not a good environment for the cats or volunteers who simply want to help

Wear heavy pants!..I filled out the application and went down to see what cats they had.The woman let me in and immediately I had 5-6 cats trying to climb my legs! With sharp claws..The woman thought it was"cute"and got snotty when I stated pulling the cats off my legs by the scruff of their necks.Telling me"not to hurt them"..None of the cats there were either young or female(what I wanted)And most seemed to be "permanent residents".What a waste of time that was.Alls i got was bleeding, scratched up legs..

We sent an application to adopt a cat and didn't hear anything for two weeks and had to drive to the shelter in person because they don't have a phone for some reason. They told us we were approved so we came back on the weekend and every time we said we would take a cat we were told no that cat can't be adopted. We must have said we would take one of 10 or 15 cats because each cat we said we would adopt, we were told no. The building is pretty dirty and there are some cats that looked like they needed a lot of medical help that they weren't getting. We just ended up going to a different shelter and told them what happened and they said people come in and say that all the time. If you really want a cat don't start here.

This place is a terrible place to search for the newest addition to the family. I’m not sure how the owner keeps skirting health code violations, but it has to be by the skin of her teeth. Just stepping in the door has sent good friends of mine into asthma attacks due to the powerful ammonia smell that seeps from every inch of the place. The cats are groomed, but barely well-kept. The volunteer work is everything you’d expect, but don’t let her catch you taking a five minute break. You might as well be getting paid. Forget about actually adopting. It seems that every cat is one of her favorites and isn’t up for adoption. Not to mention the hoops she makes you jump through, even though you’d be taking them to a better home than this swamp pit. I’d put zero stars if I could.

The only good thing about this place is that they take care of the animals properly. They are very unwilling to allow adoptions for the most ridiculous reasons and I believe they do that to allow themselves more money due to them being non-profit. My cat of 12 years died and when I was ready to take in not only one, but three cats, they denied it saying "they are unavailable to be adopted" yet were still up on their website. To me, this is just unbelievable that a loving and caring family wasn't able to adopt cats, to which we would love and care for far better than they would be in a shelter. I understand health issues amongst the cats, but if an owner is fully aware of the issues at hand and are willing to care for the life of that cat, why should they be denied? I am truly in shock by the responses given by this organization in denying ability to adopt. Not only that, but they directed us in the directions of other shelters, practically asking us to leave and that no adoptions would ever be taken place here. Very sad.

I literally thought this place had closed down. A few years ago, I called about a stray that I had been taking care of that was getting into fights and getting injured. They NEVER answered the phone, and never returned any calls. Same with when I had a older kitten that was very adoptable (it was adopted in one day at the place I ended up taking it). Same thing. No one answered the phone at any time of the day, and never once did hey return my call. Maybe they do good work. But if they never answer the phone, how would you know?

This place has really, really nice cats that would love a home. Please check them out if you are considering a new pet or just love cats! Give a pet the second chance at a happy life it deserves.

This is a truly dedicated no kill for cats. For years they took strays and whole litters of kittens that I found carelessly abandoned by the road. Glad they're around.

Great service for the community. The cats and staff are friendly and more people should know about the opportunity to adopt here.
