Fur and Feathers Veterinary Dr. Personett and all the staff Five stars is not enough! When we brought Diesel in for his first visit we did not know what to expect. Getting the news Diesel had diebetes was shocking. We are truckers how will we be able to take care of him? Will he still be able to travel with us? We had so many questions. That is when Nancy came into our life . She truly is a angle she took time to answer every question and make us feel we were going to get through this together we did not have to feel alone. We are all PAWS IN! Sweet Allie has been amazing with Diesel as well she has a softness and gentleness and compassion that just radiates from her. We feel confident in we have the best staff taking care of our 18Wheels&4Paws Diesel trucking kitty with Diabetes.Thank you!Lilly Trucker & RichDiesel

He kept telling me her Mass was Nothing to worry about until I made him remove it cuz I had a Bad feeling about it!!Now it's too late!! Worst part is that she's my Mom's dog that I inherited 2 1/2 yrs ago when my Mom passed away!!! She's All I have left of my Mom!!!!Fur & Feathers vet and staff have been Fantastic at helping Mandie Sue and I'm So Grateful for them!!! I have been going here for a little while now. They're amazing. They are always kind and thinking things through. I unfortunately had to euthanize my cat, but their process is as good as it can be for what you're doing. They're amazing over there. I had a check up for my cat one time, and they cut his nails once, just because they saw he needed them, without charging for it. I won't take my animals anywhere else, the staff is amazing.

We absolutely love the team at Fur and Feathers. Very professional, never had a bad experience, and incredibly grateful for the times they’ve gotten our cats (Sammy and Avalon) in on short notice. Avalon adores the staff and we’re going be sad to leave since we are moving out of the area. Highly recommend!

Wow they saved me a few hundred dollars on fixing a stray feral kitten and making sure it was healthy . Other Veterinarian's in our area quoted me over a hundred dollars more . Great people working there as well . Very Clean office and easy handicapped accessKitten acted like nothing happened in a few hours and is doing great

My daughter took our dog here as our vet retired. They were great. She said, " very caring, transparent about pricing, & give you information, & let you make decisions based on your thoughts/feelings about treatment choices as necessary".

Brought my 2 year old German Shepard for the first time the other day and we had a great experience! Althought my German Shepard, Chopper, is not a fan of the vet the staff was absolutely amazing with him. Chopper has some pretty bad anxiety and he wasnt to happy about the vet trying to check him out, but they were calm, understanding, and extremely patient with him. He was just put on an anxiety med and so far has already made a huge difference. This place definitely lives up to its phenomenal reputation, and we will continue coming here. If youre looking for a trustworthy place to bring your fur baby, Fur and Feathers is the place to go!

Best vet in Binghamton. High level of care and the vet asks all the right questions to get the full picture. They do offer credit but their prices are reasonable for my cats checkups and vaccines.

We just got our new pup from the Humane Society and my karate teacher recommended Fur and Feathers. He said they treat you like a human and don’t talk down to you like some vets have done. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, the entire staff made me feel as if we had been there for years as patients and treated with explanation what ever they needed to do. I’d say if you can get your pet in, make the appointment. It’s one decision you won’t be disappointed about!!!!!

My original review is not listed anymore unfortunately but I cannot sit back and not say anything after I saw someone recently reviewing the care their Guinea pig received. I wanted to say I went through a very similar situation with my bunny 3 years ago after he was under the so called care of this place. He too dramatically lost weight, received substandard care and timely attention was not a concern he ultimately died after much time wasted and utter neglect. Unlike you though, after he passed on, I was told x rays bloodwork and things such as IV fluids were not done here which now I know is not the case and that this place pretty much expects the owner to ask for referrals, or so I was told it was my responsibility to have asked which is inconceivable after just losing my bunny, the blame for his death was basically shifted to me. After my bunny’s death, I learned of a new practice who sees exotics who has been caring for my current adopted bunny and she receives excellent care that goes absolutely above and beyond. Unfortunately this place didn’t exist when my other bunny was alive. Milo was only treated for one thing and not given pain relief until his very final month of life which is sickening, his ear infection went untreated and was a result of his nose and chest infection not being treated appropriately. I left many times without medicine for him and was basically told they can’t do this or that for him all of the time. If you would like to reach out to me, please do, as I don’t want to see the same thing happen again and again and regretfully I see it still is, they certainly can’t say the pandemic is the cause for delays this time. This is exactly why things need to be treated aggressively from the very onset before things like weight loss start happening and the pet is in an even more vulnerable position than they began with. Time is imperative from the very moment it begins. My Milo ended up with a very resistant bacteria and more than likely an ear abscess which are difficult but not impossible to treat in rabbits my current bunny had to have a reoccurring abscess surgically removed 3 times in combination with different antibiotics long term to get to the root of it. Ruptured ear drum, deafness, loss of balance, rolling, facial paralysis, weighed just 3 pounds when he passed despite eating critical care perfectly fine. This facial paralysis led to him not even being able to drink on his own which was also laughed at by this vet as I was told he couldn’t drink from a straw, disgusting. They took nothing I said seriously. I can’t even bare to go on anymore about what happened to him and the things that were said to me because it was truly horrible, it was a senseless death. So if you would like to get in touch with me please do, my email is cassie119300 at hotmail dot com and I hope your Guinea pig is doing ok. In response to you Wittner, No that did not happen, no that was not said until after he was gone. It was possible to do a culture and x ray early on which was when the ear infection was visible with pus for months prior and the choice made was to not do anything for that, not diagnose acknowledge or treat it and that's what really matters here. For what reason this was done I will never understand and an answer has never been given. May I remind you, you were still able to send a culture out the week before he passed on, though, just not the rest right, or normal bloodwork that all pets require anyways and which is always done before they are put under for any procedure, you'd be crazy not to. I think it's time to consider not dealing with exotics anymore. As for the Cornell bit I know the real truth regarding that, don't forget you told me you would have referred me at the time if I had asked, see for yourself, refer to that email. I also love how Milo's records said he had rare bacteria well before the culture took place, Can we get serious. Milo knows, you know, probably some staff members, and I know the truth and there's no getting around that, not ever. Go to Cornell no referral needed.

What a disgusting qnd disgraceful facility including their beyond rude and neglectful staff. This office changes prices as they go to take advantage of their patients. They put my entire house of animals at risk when they failed to inform us of multiple positive results for 2 of our puppies. 3 months went by until I requested records and saw positive results of Guardia and worms and had to take immediate action. The office was now apologetic and defensive blaming a "new system and turn over of staff. Not an acceptable excuse when it comes to our animals health and wellbeing. After insisting that medication be provided. They tried to pricegauge a follow up test to see if the medications worked. Refused to have the doctor contact me or accept the samples. This office should be shut down immediately. The rooms are dirty and unsanitary, the staff is abusive and they truly have no care in the world for the animals.I'm hiring an attorney for the extra costs this has caused and filing a report to the veterinary board.

Dr. Wittner, Dr. Personet, and the entire staff at Fur & Feathers will provide you and your pet with the ultimate in care.Attention to detail, your needs, and your pet's needs are at the forefront of this practice's operation. I have never seen such a compassionate, comprehensive, and cohesive operation.I would highly recommend Fur & Feathers to anyone who truly cares about the well being and health of their pet.Let's face it - we often like our pets more than our family 😂. Why trust them to any less than the best? These pictures are of my buddy when Fur & Feathers first opened - when have you ever seen a dog so relaxed at the vets? Only here.

Recently, one of my birds has been sick, and his condition declined a lot overnight last night. We hadn’t been able to get him to a vet because we live quite far from any avian vets. We called this morning and they were able to get us an appointment within 3 hours. We brought him, and we were waiting outside for a while after our first call, but we called again and they immediately took us in, no problem. He ended up having to be put down, but the staff were incredibly compassionate and caring. They assuaged many of my fears and regrets and gave me very good advice. I’ve brought birds here before and they’ve always been lovely. Thank you so much to their team for helping me through this.Edit: I forgot to mention that the vet did everything she could to lower the cost. It was very appreciated. She was wonderful.

I had a lot of anxiety about something my pet was going through and wasn’t sure if he needed to see a vet based on blogs posted online. The receptionist couldn’t have been nicer and really eased my anxiety. If I need to bring him to a vet in Binghamton it will be here just based on the phone call I had!

I have been taking my dog here for about 2 years and have always had a good experience with routine care and other additional needs/concerns. My mom also has taken multiple pets to them as well and has had the same experience. All staff have been friendly, kind and compassionate. Yesterday, however, I feel they went above and beyond for my baby. It was a Friday some time after 3 PM that my girl got bitten by another dog. I cleaned her up and after looking at her wounds was concerned that she needed additional treatment because there just seemed to be so much blood. Around 3:45 I called Fur and Feathers and the receptionist who took the call asked a few questions about her wounds, spoke briefly with someone and then, after I had said I only live about 10-15 minutes from their office at that point, I was told to bring her in and they would clean her up and take a look. Dr. Personett examined the wounds, the techs cleaned her up, we were provided with carprophen for her pain, given a script for an antibiotic and were walking out of their office around 4:30 PM. I was prepared and more than willing to pay a couple hundred for this visit but was shocked that for the cost of care and pain med I was only charged $106 despite the short notice and emergency (albeit mild) nature of the visit. I know that timing was on our side with this since it occurred during normal business hours and we live close by but I am still amazed. Everyone was so kind and compassionate with my dog and as we were being led into an exam room I was also asked if I was okay and Dr. Personett was kind enough to validate how scary a dog fight can be as I was still a bit shaken up while there and blaming myself. 5 stars and more for this wonderful group of humans spending their days caring for our babies and I'm sure enduring horrendous treatment by other humans despite devoting their lives to the care of animals. Will recommend them to anyone who will listen!

They love our dog as if she were there's! Although our baby is getting older:(, we know Fur and feathers staff will be there for us every step of the way!-Rebecca Owen + Bella <3

They are all so compassionate, sweet & caring.... that's including the front staff, the vet techs & the Vet. Our tech was Missy & she was wonderful with my cat, the Vet was fantastic as well. Very thoroughly examined my cat & found the problem. Endless Mountains gave him an incredibly quick look over (didn't even look at his tongue which is why I came there in the first place) and sent him home with an antibiotic. Turns out he has a tumor under his tongue 😭. If you want proper care and a Veterinarian who knows what she's doing, come here. They are also very open with pricing. I'll recommend them to everyone

I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. I have been taking my Guinea pig here for 3 years and everytime the care always felt off and rushed. Recently I have been trying to figure out why my Guinea pig has not been eating for the last week and a half and Dr. Wittner was quick to assume it was his teeth after looking in his mouth for 5 seconds max. He started eating on his own after force feeding him and it was clear it was not his teeth. Took him today for an X-ray and it was determined that it was kidney and bladder stones. After 3 years of taking him here and telling them the brand and type of pellets he is on almost every visit, it was brought to my attention TODAY that he should of never been on it because the number one ingredient is alfalfa which most likely caused the stones. I made it clear to Dr. Wittner that I did not want to put him through surgery especially since he has lost a substantial amount of weight and is not a good surgery candidate, and STILL she insisted that I hear back from Cornell about if surgery is possible meanwhile my Guinea pig is not eating, in pain, and wants me to force pain meds into him. She also suggested another treatment that required sedation which she had previously made clear when discussing fixing his teeth to be dangerous since he lost weight. And today after it was determined he lost more weight she offers a procedure that requires sedation…. During the whole visit I was never asked what I thought was best for my pet or what I wanted and Dr. Wittner is 100% self serving. Truly a joke of a vet that just wants to prolong an animals life so she can make more money. To whoever reads this, especially you Dr. Wittner, I hope karma treats you well. And to everyone else, don’t go here.

I had what I thought was an emergency with my 10 week old puppy. I explained that I'd only just gotten her and really wanted to bring her here based on reviews of friends. The receptionist was cold and 110% uncaring. Couldn't fit us in for over 2 weeks . I asked if the tick stuck in my pup should be of concern, should I call somewhere else. She repeatedly read off a script that they couldn't give advice on a pet they haven't seen. Right-- but I'm not a vet, is this an emergent issue?? Thank you for being cold and callous when I was a nervous wreck. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Sorry, but I tried.

Since I can't respond to your response, I will here. Your response, while lengthy and full of information, never addressed my main complaints-- all you did was reiterate the information that I knew. Whomever answers your phone is not kind or caring, in fact they were very cold. I just expected more. I understand that no advice can be given over the phone, but some compassion and perhaps advice to try somewhere else would have made me feel better, rather than her ignoring my panic and reason for the call and instead trying to schedule me in 2 weeks and telling me I had to pay a fee for an appointment because people continue to cancel. I wonder why. Good luck. I was able to find kindness and compassion with my next call. I'm sure it was meant to be.

If you are in need of trustworthy care and quality belly rubs, fur and feathers is your place. Our dogs are treated like our babies and part of the family. When we were stuck with the task of searching for a new doc, we were frightened and scrutinized every post and review. Everyone from the receptionist, the vet techs and the docs are kind respectful and answer all questions. And all give the best belly rubs. 5 star compassionate care.

Finding a local vet that is trustworthy, flexible and actually cares about our 2 dogs has been hard. With the pandemic, several local vets aren't taking new patients. Fur and Feathers took our puppy and our rescue dog with an easy application and interview. We've made a couple of unexpected visits and they've worked to fit us in. Our rescue dog hates her nails trimmed, and the tech was able to trim them with no issue without a muzzle. We're continually impressed.

Very kind, caring people here! Our beloved Brody was euthanized last week and we received, after the visit, a beautiful poem and plaster cast mold of Brody's front paws in a shadow box picture frame. What a nice thing to do. Several days later we received a "sorry for your loss" card with a note and signature of EVERY employee there. Thank you Fur and Feathers!
