Just stopped in for the first time in a while. Used to go there on a very regular basis when I worked close by. Sweet memories!!!EXCELLENT food & great prices!!!City chicken is still THE BEST I've ever had!!! I've seen them prep it & they meticulously cut out the fat & any 'grizzle.' Highly suggest asking them to heat it up (they drop in the fryer real quick) & add hot sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!The chili is EXCELLENT!!! Tons of beef, beans, peppers, onions, & a real nice sauce!!! Suggest adding hot sauce. They serve it w/ oyster crackers on the side (much better than square crackers).They were out of pasta fagioli (pasta fazool) which is the second-BEST I've ever had!!! It's better than any I've ever had in an Italian restaurant!!! Second only to my mother's!!!They're also RENOWNED for their fish on Fridays. It's EXCELLENT!!!The brownies are also EXCELLENT!!!The brutha that served me (Ed?...I can never remember names) was very personable & a pleasure to do business with. It was refreshing & very unusual to hear an employee speak so highly of his employer!It's a Binghamton staple. Family-run business going on 110 years. I miss the days when Tony & Rose (God rest that sweet woman's soul) were there on a regular basis. Tony was always high-energy & ALWAYS made you laugh. Rose was the sweet mother that always made you feel like she was welcoming you to her own home.They're across from NYSEG Stadium; the place w/ the truck on the pole. I still won't park under that thing!!! 😇

Am in town for a few days and made Di Rienzos my lunch choice on Thursday and Friday. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich on Thursday and it was great. Came back today for the fish sandwich and it was the best I ever had. All the staff was friendly and talkative, especially the owner, Tony. He talked to me both days and made me feel really welcome and appreciated. I also left with bread, cookies, and a huge slice of cold pizza which was awesome as well. Hope to be back soon.

Di Renzo has an amazing selection for lunch. I stopped in for there famous fish Friday. It was some of the best fish I've ever had 🤤🤤. I was saddened to hear from one of there employees they may be selling and closing. Hopefully this doesn't come to pass and I can continue to enjoy lunch there.

Walking in reminds you of an NYC deli. The fish subs are my go-to, they fry the fish up right in front of you. Talk about fresh. The tartar sauce is the best I've ever had with fish. Staff are nice and prices are good too. I wish fish was offered on days other than Friday.

I was there around 3:30 PM today 4/6/23 for their fish. The fish was just OK. Not like I’ve gotten there in the past. I’ve purchased their Fish Fry since 1997. The service was also the worst I’ve ever experienced, and the cleanliness has really gone downhill. This was a huge disappointment.

Bought many pizzas here from since 10 years ago, as well as breads, fried fish, Italian cookies, canollis, drinks. Tony was deferential ashe'd called me 'Sir Lawrence' -- so cool, what a guy !I take Di Rienzo's way over places I've been, for example, in South Philadelphia. Nothing but terrific quality and great memories from here.

I have bin going to Di Rienzo's bakery for a lot of years but that is going to stop when I there today and my experience was awful there was a he she or something behind the counter when he she it made my fish sub he she it's gloves were all slimy and the he she it put my sub in a box that he she it slimed the box all up with tartar sauce don't go there unless you want slimy subs

Friday fish fry! You can smell the delicious aroma from outside and it’s sure to make your mouth water. The portions are nice and large too. If you haven’t tried it before, you really should. They have lots of other tasty options as well.

I've passed this place for years and decided to stop in today. I bought a "city chicken" that I was told was fresh. The breading was slimy and slid right off the chicken (not pork). I also purchased a ham and turkey sub. The bread was the blandest thing imaginable and the rest of the sub was tolerable at best. The lettuce was browning and the sub sauce was generic tasting.I was looking at other offerings this establishment sells and found green olives sitting in a moldy stew of their own juices and a personally sized pie on the counter next to the register that looked moldy as well.Never again.

I came here for one of their famous Friday specials, their fried fish sandwich! The fish was fresh and crispy, right out of the fryer! It's a bustling, busy neighborhood deli so there can be a bit of a wait (30 minutes) but it's worth waiting for!

I guess we were confused for college students or maybe we shouldn’t have come on fish Friday, but we were not served and left after 20 minutes of being passed over. The service was non existent and the locals were extremely rude. Two ladies in particular screamed over my partner and I while we tried to discuss our order and a tiny leprechaun man literally shoulder checked me while we were exiting the bakery. I struggle to understand why everyone was so nasty but after two decades of buying bread and spiedies there, I’m done. Good luck with the next generation DiRenzos, you’ll need it.

Wonderful employees especially Corey although he didn't work in the store he was on break and saw me struggling and came to my rescue by offering to help and then carrying my purchases to my car and loading them for me. He was amazing, very well mannered, and polite! I tried to give him a tip but he politely refused and told me to have a great day!

Kinda shady! Was there last week and I noticed my friend with special needs was charged double for his sandwich. I knew the "12 bucks" the manager said one fish sandwich cost must have been an error. They go off weight when at the cash register and a ticket is used to calculate things. The manager realized his error, that the "12 dollar ticket" was for two sandwiches not one after my friend paid. I was hoping the manager would fix his mistake and refund my friend, he did not. To reiterate, my friend has down syndrome and was financially taken advantage of by this establishment. He then doubled down and quoted me for the same price. I did not want to upset my friend who would have been really embarrassed by someone taking advantage of him so I just paid the double amount to preserve his dignity. So they got 30 bucks off of two fish sandwiches. That being said the fish was fantastic and I would have paid the cooks that for their work, but this was a pretty dishonest situation we experienced that left me pretty irritated and disgusted. I hope that it was a busy day and an innocent mistake was made. Though I find that increasingly hard to believe after the proud 100+ years of service. TO BE CLEAR our cashier was not the woman who was working. It was a man who seemed like an owner or manager. Everyone else we interacted with was great.

I've driven by this place several time and thought I would give it a try. I was disappointed. There was hardly anything in the deli case. The tuna was made with some relish - which I don't like; the bread was not fresh and the lettuce on my sandwich was turning brown. The sandwich had way too much tuna and most of it fell out of the sandwich. They were friendly.

I went here once about 5 years ago. The food was subpar, the service wasn't great, and the management guys were kinda d!cks to us. Didn't go back for 5 years. I tried it today for the fish fry.Same deal. The fish was subpar, the service was decent and fast, but the employees/ownership group were grouchy and unfriendly. Will never go back as there are far superior options close by.

Just look for the bread truck in the sky! The bread is literally best I've ever tasted. If you can stop by on Fridays, you'll be able to taste the most delicious fish this side of the Mason Dixon. Before you go, make sure to take a picture of the family in front of the gigantic bread mural! More than a bakery, it an experience!

Another staple of the neighborhood I've been going here since I was a kid. 44 years later the place is still here it's a really nice still have a place that makes you feel like a kid again when you walk in. Friday fish fry outstanding and I don't think they changed their sauce for their Pizza since I was a kid brings me back when I have a slice. Just pizza sauce and pizza dough outstanding!!!

Wonderful fish sandwiches on Fridays. Subs, and other foods daily. Fresh bread always available. Only downside is not much seating inside, but in the summer plenty of seating outside. Lotto and snacks available as well.

Love Di Rienzo's! Well known for their Friday fish fry, and rightfully so! Lots of other interesting options like pizza, subs, soups, pastries and baked goods, and a number of sides like pasta salad, macaroni and cheese, etc. There are a few small tables for dining in. There's also a drink cooler. Quick service. Cash or cards. There's something here for everyone!

Extremely rude to there customers. I didn't go there to get angry as how I was treated but I left that way. Went to pay and the cashier never made eye contact with me instead talked to the guy behind me. Fish is way over priced and had bones in it. Will not comeback
