I took my cat here for a nail trim today and I was blown away by the kindness and quality of care we received. My cat Fin gets nervous when I put him in his carrier so I always put a liner in because he pee’s, When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and the woman at the desk was so friendly. I didn’t need an appointment since I was only getting Fin’s nails trimmed and they were able to help us right away. I felt terrible because Fin had soiled himself when he was in the carrier and the woman who trimmed his nails helped clean him up before she trimmed him and kept reassuring both him and I that it was totally fine. In the meantime, the woman at the desk took away the soiled pad and gave me a clean towel to put back in his carrier. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would because 5 doesn’t seem like enough. You can tell that everyone working here loves animals and they have created a safe space for them to be groomed. Thank you very much to the 2 wonderful ladies who helped us today! We will be back for sure and recommending them highly!

They've groomed my pug companions a few times - as we mostly bath them at home. My pugs don't seem scared when I pick them up, and they always smell good and their coats are vibrant and soft (which is kind of normal for these two). The staff is very nice, and answered my questions - and I have never felt uncomfortable about leaving my little ones with them.TLDR: I recommend this place wholly.

We took our Golden there for the first time this past Saturday. I was nervous because it was a new place for our dog. We were greeted with warmth and kindness. I immediately felt comfortable that our dog was in good hands. Our Casey was groomed beautifully and she was happy when we picked her up. We will definitely be back, thank you so much to the ladies at Groomingdales!!

They always do a good job on my crazy little doodle. It does take several hours, but that's because he's always matted and probably not the most zen dog when it comes to grooming [read: he hates it].

After trying 2 other groomers, only Groomingdales could handle my toy poodle. Haven't heard any complaints from him.

When my dog was about 15 years old she was cut with a scissor from a previous groomer and needed stitches. She was already difficult to groom but from that point she was so frightened that multiple groomers wouldn't even take her anymore. Spent months trying everything and eventually stumbled across this place. For the past year and a half they've been doing an amazing job on my now 17 year old pup.

My dog was there for over 5 hours. They still demand that you wear a mask to enter the store. They give a nice haircut but the place is very disorganized. The front desk woman is always a mess and confused. Not worth it. Probably won't be coming back.

I’ve been taking my cat to get a hair cut for about 1 year now and we thought they were great until recently my cat came home with FLEAS!!!! Unbelievable…. my family and I went through hell trying to get rid of them and we are still in the process. My cat is NOT an out door cat and there’s no other explanation for this. He came home to us and immediately started scratching!! I will not be taking my animal here anymore after this!!! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT FOR THE NEXT ANIMAL!!!!!!

Hi. I am a dog owner for 17 years. September 2020 was the first time my dogs came home groomed properly. My Labradors are not shedding in bulk! They smell and look great! Highly recommend groomingdales!

I have been to groomingdales a few times. The first few times went well. However, the past two times have not been good. The first time she was there for almost 5 hours. The most recent time I was called and told that she was ready. I left work on my lunch to come get her and found out that she was actually not ready. Finally 3 hours later I was called and told she was ready. When I picked her up her cut was very uneven. I will not be going back.

Our pet bella shitzu was groomed there two weeks ago it was the frist time back there because we lived in Brooklyn & were staying in Farmingdale & our groomer is our on medical leave but groomingdales did an awesome Job on my bella she looked like a million dollars when I picked her up thank you

Took my Yorkie there last minute as a walk in. Took some time to get him back but I'm gracious that they accepted me. Love the haircut that they gave him he came back cute as ever. Definitely coming again.

We have 4 persian cats - 2 of them had some issues with their fur matting. These ladies performed miracles on them! My husband took them in the morning and they were ready by early afternoon. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them. So so adorable and they all had matching bandana collars. It was truly a great experience for them since as we know cats are "different" than dogs. My husband said the ladies were so kind and gentle with the kitties. Highly recommend and thank you so much!

Great staff, especially Kim. They were incredibly sweet to our 18 year old papillon, Skylar, who became feisty to groom in her last years. Skylar passed recently and we haven't been able to thank them personally. If we ever get another dog, we know where we are going for grooming!Chris and Joe

I worked there for 3 1/2 years. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG THERE!!!! Kim abuses the dogs. When they don’t do what “she wants them to do” she will abuse them. I’ve witnessed this first hand
