Visited recently. 3 stars for the view and drinks.We were craving seafood and a water view on Chautauqua Lake. Well we found the amazing view but the seafood.... not so much.Drinks were great. I had the Berry Mojito, the hubby a Pineapple Mojito.When looking at a menu one would expect to see seafood and a good amount of it. Nope. A handful of of dishes and the majority fried.I ordered the Avocado Lime Fish Tacos(3 Mahi tacos with tortilla chips)$19.99 & hubby ordered Shrimptastic(fried shrimp)$18.99 that comes with a spicy dipping sauce. That's it.The prices were not with it. Tacos specifically say Avocado lime and there was none. Barely any Mahi(overcooked), mostly just the slaw, no avocado, no lime wedges. A person came from the back and I asked where everything was. I was told the lime is a base they squeeze on the bottom of the taco. The avocado not sliced, no where that we could see and then I was told they use an avacado paste they squirt on the taco. I deconstructed it right in front of her. No avacado to be found but she swears it's there. She brings me out extra avacado, in a little plastic container that was a paste squirted in a circular fashion. I wish I had taken a picture, it was very unappealing.Hubby didn't really complain about his except that there were only 15pieces and over fried. He was still hungry after.We would think that a place that has amazing views, a tiki bar on the water and literally called The Fish, they'd make more of an effort on the food..... especially seafood. Definitely not worth the money.

Passing through the area on October 9th, 2022. Did some shopping and decided to have lunch at The Fish. BEAUTIFUL VIEW, great menu, clean restaurant. Will not give 5 stars due to lack of service by Trisha H. All the food was delicious! Sadly the soup and Chicken Fettuccine were luke warm. Trisha was a sarcastic and very inattentive server. We pretty much let her be, but needed a drink refill, she said she had to help in the kitchen. We waited and waited for to see if we need anything else or the bill. She was nowhere to be found. Took the bill to the hostess and she finally showed up. The restaurant seemed to have a just a hostess and Trisha and maybe a cook working. No manager on board unless Trisha did it all? If so, she should have explained the situation. I would go back, but Trisha was terrible. Yes, we still left her a decent tip!

Nice restaurant sitting on the water. Nice deck out back where we went to see a live band. ( Nerds Gone Wild!) Service was pretty decent just the young girl didn't check in quite enough when we moved our table to the outside but she was still good as a whole the only downside I have was that it was very expensive $15 for a hamburger plus your drink Yes your pain for location and it was very nice to quality was great! Remember the saying you get what you pay for.

We recently went here and we were absolutely devastated the people downtown said it was awesome well…when we went we were a party of 8. When we first sat down it was 30 minutes before our drink order (it wasn’t even busy). Then 20 minutes later we got them came back and took our order. We ordered and then it was 1 hour after we ordered we got it. I got the Alfredo and what they gave me was a stick of butter and chicken cut up. Two other ladies in our party received cold food and one meal that they didn’t ask for( still got charged with it). We asked for silverware we asked about 10 times before she got us some. Please save yourself some time and money please don’t go there .

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Stopped for lunch passing through the area. Service was great, food was great, and views are amazing. If it wasn't several hours from my house, I'd definitely come back.

I have never, ever, shared a review of a meal but the magic of Bemus Point was marred by the food at ‘The Fish.’ The nachos were bottom of the bag, throwaway crumbs. The avocado, lime tacos were dry, salty and disappointing. I showed the waitress the fact that I didn’t get the sour cream or salsa as described on the menu, and I had trouble even spotting avocado or tasting lime. Even with the dead fly I rescued from the taco - the manager said there was no discount. Forget the discount, just learn how to cook a decent fish taco. Poor fish - what a waste of a fish! Learn how to revere a piece of fish.

Unless you plan to take yourself to the hospital upon leaving this restaurant, do not eat here. I worked 4 shifts for this disgusting establishment. The only reason i didn't walk out on my first day was because i saw a potential in the location and thought perhaps i could help turn it around. There is no hope. The culinary 'managers' cross contaminate foods and don't care. They serve rotten food. They let food go wrotten in their coolers and leave it for months. The first time someone opened the cooler when i was in the kitchen, it smelled like death. On my fourth shift, the downstairs kitchen got shut down by the health department. The health department was getting complaints from guests about being ill and hospitalized immediately after eating there. The owner refuses to take responsibility for anything that happens in that restaurant. He couldn't even show face at the restaurant until the health inspectors left. Even had the gall to try and pass blame onto me for their kitchens not being clean. It took years for that nastiness to build up

Our first time here. We were informed of a live band starting soon and given a choice of seating downstairs to see the band or up on the deck. It was such a nice evening, we opted for the deck. What a beautiful view! Our server, Darrin, was great and very attentive. We ordered the fish fry. It was the best we've had for quite a while. A large, flakey haddock fillet. Yum yum! The only thing that prevented me from giving this 5 stars was the limited menu. There were a number of Mexican type choices but we don't particularly like fish tacos. I would definitely come back though.

As with any new restaurant there are kinks. There is new staff, new menus, new layout, everything is new! Even the paint job that reviewers don't seem to like. It's bright and it's bold so out of towners won't miss it. Keep the blue! I believe The Fish is going to be wonderful! We were there for dinner last weekend. We had the Bleu Burger and fried pickles......oh my goodness, it was so delicious!!! So delicious in fact, that we went back yesterday and had the same exact thing. Next time, I'll make myself try something new. Maybe. Both times we were there, the service was great and the sunset...... beautiful!!

The four of us stopped here for dinner during the Fall Festival 9/16/23. The restaurant was not busy. The food was "so so" ...french fries were cold, tortilla strips were stale. We did not have a "happy" server and after she took our order, we didn't see her again until so brought the food. She did bring another order of fries (only lukewarm now) and she just had a sarcastic, unpersonable tone about her. I didn't tell her about the tortilla strips because she was so crabby about having to replace the french fries. To top things off, the bathrooms were dirty and unkempt. (we should have checked before we ordered). If the bathroom is dirty, what does it say about the kitchen??? Actually, the entire restaurant needed a good cleaning. We were reluctant to leave her a tip, but in the end we sucked it up and left her 18%. No, we will not dine at The Fish again...regardless of the nice view of the water.

The successor to the old Italian Fisherman. The drink menu is ok; beer choices are somewhat limited. The mixed drinks went over well at the table, however.I ordered the tuna nachos appetizer, which was very good. I recommend them. Lots of standard appetizer choices, like calamari.Entree choices are interesting. They run the gamut from normal-priced to pricey. Some of the more more expensive choices, like paella, are shareable, which makes the pricing more palatable.I had a pork loin that was a touch dry, but still good. One of the curries ordered was over spiced for the person eating it, but the other curries were fine. There was an ahi tuna fish that was good as well.After dinner we moved to the downstairs bathroom area where they serve frozen drinks and bar menu food. There was a guitar/dinner playing that was quite good, and the Frozen drinks were nice.The view from the main dining room was spectacular as the sun set. Parking can be a have, but that is Bemus Point for you!Overall, I will be coming back and look forward to seeing how the restaurant matures. I

Walked in at 6pm on a beautiful Sunday evening. Resturant almost empty. This should have been our first clue. Promptly seat by the window, and hostess brought us water. Sat 25 minutes no waitress. Asked host if a waitress could be sent to out table. Another 15 minutes still no waitress. Sorry, for two people with lots of patience, this doesn't cut it. Y"all won't last for long with such poor service. Never again.

I read the reviews and chose to ignore the negatives but they were all correct. Very slow, mediocre food/ salad had limp lettuce. Waitress was nice but didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert. Lots of people running around but no toilet paper in the restroom ( at least one stall). Very pricey for what we got. Across the street was super busy and Fish was not at all. Should have trusted the crowd. Not a good experience. ☹️

The food is fantastic and the service was excellent! I had the all you can eat crab legs and my wife have the fish fry. She said it was the best that she's ever had! The crab legs came out hot and the waitress provided us with excellent service and was extremely pleasant! We will definitely come here again!

Food was bland, portions super small. I ordered the mahi mahi bowl for $18.95. Description was mahi mahi over rice with beans covered in a mango salsa. When you look at the picture attached notice how large the fork is compared to the portion size of which I did take one bite of when I decided to take the picture. To say I was dissapointed is an understatement.Another person I was dining with ordered the ribs and offered to share a couple due to the size of my portion. Do not order the ribs either. They had to have been pre-made and then microwaved. Absolutley terrible and again NO FLAVOR!DO NOT EAT HERE!

the po boy was fantastic. the fry was light and crispy so i could taste the fish. it was seasoned delicately and the roll was thoughtful as heck - robust and toothsome without a batard hard shell. fantastic. simple but excellent. service was on the spot and fast. the bisque was excellent - thick and creamy - according to T. i didn’t have any.
