The Belmont, NY store to be good. But now it is one of the messiest stores you'll see. Period. Cargo carts left out, malfunctioning equipment never getting repaired, and very understaffed at all times. Seems to be a mismanagement issue, as I have no problems with the employees there. Dollar General corporate seems to not care about any of the numerous complaints from locals. The pictures are from November 27th, and all of the carts are still there plus more. Almost like they add carts instead of putting the stuff away. The panel was still off of the drinking fountain when I stopped in today, with exposed electrical and refrigerant lines. Also in that picture, the mop bucket still hasn't moved. And the fridge lights still don't work in some of the units. Stuff is constantly expired to the point where it's a health issue.

I've changed my mind about the Dollar General. I recently discovered that the Regional Distric Manager orders all items for all of the stores in their area of management. The store managers have no say or input as to what their stores receive for product. The Dollar General has given me one more reason to order from the internet. You can't rely on consistency of product. I will not be forced to try a different product over the one I want.

Prices are ok. But items are frequently a mess on the shelves. There are usually stock Uboats with products just parked all over and hard to get around. Have almost fallen on cardboard pieces left on the floor in aisles. Needs improvement.

Frequent out of stocks. Items not priced on shelf. Had an item ring up wrong 3 different times before they fixed it. Long checkout lines. Sad they have to come on at 7:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving.

Good selection of everything for good prices although would be better if more than 1 cashier actually working on register should have 2 lanes open during the day

It's Dollar general what more can I say other than the service there is excellent the female cashier there was just very friendly and very attentive to her customers kudos to the blonde cashier

This was near the Belmont Dollar General. My favorite part of my visit. I don't like giving reviews for Dollar General stores because I get stressed out when I go to them.

Great place always. Colonie dollar general is always clean, organized and not cluttered compared to Schenectady, Greenville, Middleburg or even Scio dollar general locations. 🤗🤗🤗

The store is kept clean. It's on the small side so the selection is limited. There are often long line at the checkout.

The carts being outside does not work because it is hard to get them into the store because you have to open the door then pull your cart through doesn't work
