This market always has a seasonal display of flowers, plants, pumpkins, and more to greet you. Once inside, there is a large area for fresh vegetables and fruit. They offer an excellent selection. As you head towards the back of the store, there is a gluten-free section of dry goods and a well stocked seafood and meat case that runs the length of the store. In addition, there are several free-standing freezer cases with quality frozen products. The grocery aisles are filled with a good variety of items. They have a small pre-made case, good deli and bakery counters, too. The staff is pleasant, making your checkout easy, and the store is clean.

I like the produce section, the organic, non GMO section, and healthy options. And there is more variety of Gluten-free products now which I'm thrilled about everytime I go. Some of the staff are not so friendly especially the cashiers, I avoid them as best as I can. I shop either early in the morning or late at night because of the huge lines at the cashiers during late morning, afternoon and early evening. It is still my favorite grocery store in the area. I edited my rating to 1 star instead of 4. They really should work on training those rude cashiers, it's becoming ridicules. Not my favorite grocery store anymore.

This is the BEST, most economical store to go food shopping . I read this A long time ago in " The Consumer" magazine. And They are RIGHT! They have a variety of foods to please everyone. They have Organic foods as well as plant based and their fish dept always has fresh fish, & produce is the best prices like I used to see many years ago and the quality is superb. . I used to buy frozen rabbit there for a phenomenal price and I can't find rabbit ANYWHERE ! I make a delicious cream sauce and stew the rabbit served over buttered egg noodles. Their meat and poultry prices can't be beat and they always have great sales going on. Oh! And shop Rites brand of all fruit ice pops are THE BEST! and the price is so much lower than other popular brands. You can't beat $4 for large ice pops. The taste is out if this world. I'm glad the old store is still there because I heard rumor they were going to move. I WISH Shop rite had won the bid in place of Acme in Yorktown Heights. Because our town NEEDS an economical food store. All the stores are aimed towards only the wealthy people. What about taking care of the people who are in poverty ? After all, we are meant to help one another. Not steal from them out of greed for money.

Nice clean store. I live in Manhattan, so it was my first time shopping here (I was in the area to meet up with friends). I found some prices cheaper than my neighborhood store, so I took advantage and bought items and lugged them back home on the train! 😅

I ordered a container of chicken salad at the deli counter, then apologized and cancelled the order when I noticed at least a dozen huge black house flies buzzing all over the deli area, landing on the food, and inside the casings where the prepared food is stored. This location is filthy and disgusting, I wouldn't buy anything from here that is not already sealed in a container.

The store is big but not a good flow. First thing you notice is the smell as if you walked in a butcher shop. Some of the produce was going bad but was not removed. They don't have proper product description on the aisles compared to other shoprites. That made it difficult to find everything. I would not go here again.

(5/7/23=UPDATE: went for bottle return & all machines working. Bought a few items inside: good prices, quick self-checkout. Brought my own reusable bag since they charge for bags here)Went for bottle return. Machines all full or broken when I arrived. Service person cleared 3 machines by shaking inner catch box. They filled quickly again. Again they shook it rather than empty & put in new bag. Of note, the machines spit out bottles for reasons not matching statement. For example, too damaged when plastic bottle is in perfect condition. Machines need to be cleaned! Belts beyond sticky & flow in jerky manner. Why people can't rinse bottles is beyond me... (Also, caps are NOT recyclable. Remove before putting bottle in machine, helps machines not clog up)Service desk inside always pleasant & professional.

4 STARS - Pretty great ShopRite. I gave it 4 Stars instead of 5 because of the pricing inside the store. I use to shop at ShopRite because I would get a bit of a break on the price of things. Honestly, ShopRite is just as (if not more) expensive than other stores I go to now. I do like the store, its fairly clean, and is always loaded with many options in stock. But the price definitely needs to become more competitive. I understand times are tough, but there is better pricing in stores like Wholefoods and Stop & shop.Overall Rating: 8/10

I received great service yesterday at the Bedford Hills located. Claudia helped me immediately when I requested a fruit party tray to be setup in a short amount of time. She contacted staff right away and they put together party size containers immediately. I'm so grateful for their immediate help

Big store, good prices, fast checkout times. However, during checkout, make sure to ask for plastic bags if needed. I wasn't offered any and wasn't thinking about it, so after I payed, I asked for a plastic bag, and the clerk said it was 10 cents. No big deal, but of course I only had my debit and it was too small a price to charge on it. Ended up buying a ship rite bag which I will ever only use once, poor quality.

Horrible experience this evening in the bakery department. I was attempting to purchase an ice cream cake, no one was behind the counter so I proceeded to ask an employee near the area if anyone is working in the bakery this evening. He said he doesn’t know, therefore he asked if a bakery employer can report to the bakery through the loudspeaker. A woman came storming at me and very irately said that she’s working it. She began to argue with me and in a very nasty tone/ she was angry that I didn’t hunt her down to confirm it was her working thr bakery. She continued to be argumentative and she wouldn’t stop. Very unprofessional, unpleasant experience. I’m very disappointed in shop rite for hiring such low quality employees that deter customers from wanting to shop there. I ultimately did not purchase the cake as I’d rather take my business elsewhere and have a pleasant experience while doing so. Very upsetting.

i e been to several shoprites and this one is by far the absolute worst of all of them. From employees cutting the line to check themselves out to no bags even ones to purchase. tonight i walked into the soda aisle and an employee told me i had to leave because they were mopping. i think they were cleaning up a spill which i coulld not see, but she wanted me out of the entire aisle and at 6pm! im done. this store is old, dirty and full of unpleasant employees.

I love ShopRite but for some reason this ShopRite does not stand up to others. The aisles are very narrow and small. not as many checkout lanes but they are always occupied. I never seem to find any meat on manager special deal.

I had a horrible experience for the second time tonight, December 27. I have been shopping at this store for years and it seems that the last two times I was there I was treated very poorly. The time prior to tonight, I was waiting on line to pay and a cashier opened another register and took two ladies behind me. She looked at me and said, "Not you!" Tonight I went to the deli counter at 8:20 pm and there were four people behind the counter. They said, "Sorry we're closed." I went to the front of the store to ask what time the deli counter closed and I was told that the deli counter closes at 9:30. When I returned to the deli counter to ask why they told me they were closed, the older man behind the counter started laughing and started speaking Spanish to the other staff members. I felt completely discriminated against. I was lucky that one of the other gentleman realized what happened and came to help me with my order. He repeatedly apologized for the behavior of the other staff behind the counter. As a long time Bedford resident, I feel that this store has lost sight of how to treat all customers, regardless of their ethnicity. I am saddened and very disappointed that this has been my experience and I hope that no one else has to endure this treatment.

Good variety and helpful and friendly staff, but not the newest or cleanest place and usually long lines. The butchers are helpful and they usually have cuts or parts that not available in other local places. Not a good place to return bottles.

A lot if times the produce doesn't look fresh, and they don't have a good fresh organic selection. Often they are out of organic vanilla yogurt.

I love Shoprite but not today. I went into the store and saw an item on sale that I usually buy but the variety I like was not there. Naturally I went to get a rain check where I was informed that I could not have one because it was not in the weekly flyer. I had never heard of this in any store I've been in...ever. I asked to speak to the manager who told me the same thing. Personally I think this "policy" of theirs is a load of stuff so I contacted corporate and tried to file a complaint. Guess what? Same BS. When I told them thst I will be taking my business elsewhere, the guy paused and said "OK" No apology for inconvenience just a who cares attitude. I always have been given a rain check when a sale item is not in stock. Seems logical to me you would want to make customers happy. Apparently this is no longer the case.

I was purchasing 4 packages of frozen shrimp using the self checkout. I had placed one package I had already scanned to the right and a clerk asked me if I was going to pay for it, I explained I already had. As I was getting ready to leave she approached me again claiming I had not paid for it. Finally after she humiliating me in front of other customers she saw on my receipt that it was paid for. She made me feel like a shoplifter, thief and should be either made to apologize to me or be fired!

They have no customer service in this store rather shop in the Shoprite in Thornwood they never have the items I need. And some of the cashiers don't treat you right.

Fair prices, usually the best around during sales. An older supermarket, but they keep it up to date. Not a good selection of grab and go meals. Usually fresh produce and fish here. There is also a nice natural/organic section.

Shop rite! More like shop RIGHT! Because this is the RIGHT place to shop! For the low low price of 2.34 I got milk, eggs, spinach, beans, breast milk formula, celestial slugs, yogurt, orbs of kakadu, refractive diatonic Crystal's, soda, beef patties, hummus, and eggs! Very good prices. Would recommend for any fans of!

No bueno! ZERO stars!!! but it won't let me post this without giving at least 1. Lines are always long. The self check out machines are always malfunctioning. It's really terrible for someone who wants to get in and out. I have a 1/2 lunch break and never make it back on time and I work just up the road. It's always crowded and they need more cash registers open! they also need to get stricter on the 10 items or less lineand have 2 open instead of 1. On top of it the people at the courtesy desk are super rude and give dirty looks when approaching the desk...The worst!!!

The store is so disgusting, store has never been updated since the 80s. The deli is awful! Everything that's fried there is a recirculating system so all the fried food smells throughout the whole store! After shopping you always have to take a shower after doing so.
