Just left Pep Boys and I cannot say enough about the service at this Bay Shore location. Mike explained what needed to be done to my car and my options. I got there 45 mins before closing on a Sunday. Mike and Milton made sure to take care of my car as well as another customers even tho it kept them at work an hour AFTER closing. When I had questions, Mike made sure to stop and answer every one so I understood. I was promised my car within the hour and Milton and Mike delivered. I would recommend this pep boys to friends and family for sure!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I called ahead to make sure they had my car battery in stock. They told me they did and then when I got there, they suddenly didn’t. They told me it would take 30 minutes to install the battery and I waited over an hour and a half. I got back in the car and my service light was still on my dashboard. I do NOT recommend using them under any circumstances.

I had an awesome experience yesterday with the store Manager Omair, at the Sunrise Hwy, Bay Shore store..An utterly professional, truly nice guy, Omair always goes above and beyond to help me. And I can't say enough good things about a fantastic young mechanic named Hector who treated me compassionately and made sure my car was safe to drive home. I'd gotten a flat tire on Sunrise Hwy, and frantically drove 11.5 miles to Pepboys at which time half the tire was missing, the rest shredded. I literally had no money and promised to pay them back when I started my new job. Omair wouldn't hear of it. He told me not to worry about it several times, just grateful he could help me. And Hector felt the same way, telling me he just wanted to make sure I'd get home safely and advised me not to drive the donut too long, telling me where I could get a cheap replacement at the salvage yard. These guys are top notch. They helped me out at a crucial time, while in a pinch. Standard operating procedure from the fellas at Pepboys. A loyal customer since 2022, I highly recommend them.

I set an appointment for 8:30, they were supposed to open at 8:00. I waited on the line outside till 8:20 - they never opened. So I went elsewhere. They were kind enough to offer to reschedule however. I went elsewhere.

The front person Mr. Omair was very pleasant and professional. He explained me all the problems of the car and what needs to be performed. The mechanic person was very knowledgeable and knew what he was going to do. He explained me everything in details. I am very happy and will always use their services at this location. Great team.

Wasted an hour of my only day off this week, to be told “sorry you have tinted windows, our mechanic doesn’t feel comfortable issuing your inspection”Meanwhile I have been going here for over a decade. NOT ANYMORE. The staff here need to be educated on customer service.If my vehicle wasn’t going to pass inspection, due to tinted windows, why did it take an hour to let me know that? Is the mechanic blind?Don’t waste your time going here. Go anywhere else, where they respect you and your time.. hope this place goes under ASAP!

If I could give this place, zero stars, I would. let me tell you what happened today. My little sister goes to Pep Boys for a simple oil change and Omair Nasim, the service manager was harassing her for $542. Now where did this number come from? Nobody knows because the oil change was $108 with tax. He then added a second sheet to her receipt and said you would have to pay for two new tires and a wheel alignment which if you do the math it comes out to about $300. We already have another shop we go to for tire and wheel alignment service. Obviously my sister declined their offer for the extra work but she told me that as soon as she declined, they were very rude and nasty with her for declining and they told her she wouldn’t pass her inspection. If this is how Pep Boys gets for a customer declining extra work that they don’t need to actually pay for Because they don’t want that work done to their car then leave them the hell alone and as for all of the workers at Pep Boys, you should be ashamed of yourselves for pressuring people especially you Omair. Have a great day.I even added a photo so you can see the cost of the extra prices she declined.

If I can give this place a negative million rating I would. Omair who is supposedly the service store manager has no clue what he is doing and does not know what customer service satisfaction is all about.I had to go to this location a total of 10 times. One time I got there at 8:45am and didn't leave until 6pm. AND MY CAR STILL WAS NOT FIXED because the part wasn't working properly and they told me at 4pm they had to order the part!!!!! 4PM!!!! I'VE BEEN SITTING THERE SINCE 8:45!I had to go to Ford myself to get the part fixed! I called corporate 3 times about my experience and nothing!The entire corporation is a joke and I will be writing to the better business bureau which they know will cause a bigger issue!DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICE!

Scheduled an appointment for 8 am, not 10 am or 11 am. However, my tires weren't at the location. The staff, especially Mike, was a complete joke. When I asked Mike a question, he responded with genuine annoyance. Despite being the first person in the door, I had to wait 4 hours to get my car serviced. This was my first experience with Pep Boys, and it will be my last. The place requires a revamp, and accountability needs to be taken.

There is no more Pep Boys at this location as we knew it. Only tires and service are available now. Parts Plus left and the store is void of everything except tires and a few courteous employees.

Horrible customer service. No one takes responsibility for the bad service. I was back and forth spending money on uber because I received for 5 days text messages “you car is ready” and when I drove the car. Oil was leaking even though that was not the problem when I brought the car for services. When I put a complaint because the car was not properly fixed, no one knew anything, “I was not the mechanic, I’m just doing a favor, I’m the assistant manager, I don't know anything about your car”. Those are some of the messages from the unprofessional people working at pep Boys at Bayshore store. I left the car at the shop and will not pick it up until I get my money back.

Recently had some steering components installed on my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee so I needed to get a professional wheel alignment. Mechanic at Pep Boys was awesome, made many adjustments and to the truck driving really great! I opted for the 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty so I can have the alignment tweaked with some other repairs and upgrades to do in the near future which is fantastic.

This location has gone down hill, I have been a customer for over 20 years. I brought my car in for a flat, there was a nail in the tire they tried selling me new tires on a car that the tires only had 10k because the technician couldn't find the nail. I was there 4 hours went to a basic gas station guy found the nail within 5 mins and only charged me $10Every time I bring my vehicle in from inspection I always say it needs wiper blades or a license plate light and will charge close to $50 to do something tiny.This location never uses the status app on your vehicle, my vehicle is ready and I called 5 hours later to check and they said it was ready a long time ago.I just brought my car in for an inspection today ( 2-11-2024) they said they needed wiper blades, and I just changed the wiper blades one week ago prior to the inspection I have the receipt and will be calling corporate

We called in and they said they had my tire. But after calling back every 2 hours they said they didn't have the tire an hour before they closed. They had my vehicles for 6 days before I received a notification the vehicle the tires were replaced. It looks like they struggled with putting the tire on and the rims are completely scratched up. There's a paneling on the interior that has been ripped off. Very unprofessional work done.

When ever I have an issue with my car go to pep boys because I like the customer service that Solomon gives because he explains everything and he’s very professional and he always get the job done 100 percent. I’m going to go there for all my car needs whenever I my car needs to be fixed

I have been going to pep boys for a while now. Recently their service became terrible. A month ago I took my car for an oil change and they damaged the plastic that goes under the engine. Today I took my other car to them for same reason and tire rotation. When I got my car back I noticed the tires were not rotated so I went back to the store and asked them to do it. They said they won’t do it today because it’s only one person working and I need to come back in 4 days. Wow! After I came home I noticed this big spill on the engine. Unbelievable!! I don’t know if they are over worked or what but that’s really bad. Don’t think will be going back anymore. Very upsetting!!

I took my car in in order to fix a tire that had been losing air. I explained this was the 3rd such time I’ve had to have a 1 year old tire resealed. I mentioned that it’s probably not the seal but an issue with the tire or the wheel itself. They just ignored me, resealed it, and now it’s losing air faster than it was before I took it in.Edit: Brought it back and gave the same information. Again, ignored and resealed.

Very depressing and sad place with average time of state exception, for example is more than 2 hours even you scheduled appointment ahead.I would avoid that place in future to save my time and money.

I made an appointment for 8 am to get a state inspection and I stayed there . The person who checked me in told me that the mechanic who does the inspections wasn't going to be in until 8:30 so that's a half hour wasted . Then I was there until 11:25 for something so simple . Ridiculous .

So I’m always having issues with my car every 3-4 years. Since I moved to Long island I can no longer go to family members that know how to fix cars. I have to rely on my people a pep boys because If Google don’t work out this is where i go. Today, I could have swore it was my starter or my alternator that wasn’t working. I tried to start it for 2hours & it never came on. I had it towed to this pep Boys and they said they would figure it out. I went about my day and right before closing they figured it out. Apparently I didn’t put my battery in right. I had purchased one the night before and didn’t screw one of the piece down. I thought it would be ok but... apparently not . Any way, they went through all that and didn’t charge me a arm and a leg. Nothing was majorly wrong with my car thank God

I was so happy that the Bay Shore mechanics and customer service reps are all new. I was so unhappy with my last service and had stopped going. After about a year, I decided to revisit. There was new staff that was very knowledgeable and helpful with my questions and concerns. I am very happy with the application of all new tires. I will be back and thank you for the changes 🙏🏾RATHER THAN DELETE MY SHORT LIVED HAPPYNESS I DECIDED TO DO A FOLLOW-UP. AT MY LAST VISIT I PUCHASED THE TIRE PACKAGE WITH AN ADDITIONAL INSURANCE (CHARGED) FOR TIRE REPAIR. SO I WENT IN TO THE BAYSHORE PEPBOYS AND THERE WAS NO ONE BEHIND THE DESK FOR ABOUT 15MINS, THEN SOMEONE CAME OUT AND GAVE KEYS TO A CUSTOMER WAITING (DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING TO US ON LINE) AND RETURNED TO THE REPAIR SHOP. ANOTHER 10 MINS GO BY AND THE TWO CUSTOMERS IN FRONT OF ME LEFT WHICH I WAS GOING TO DO AS WELL. SOMEONE CAME FROM ANOTHER SIDE OF THE STORE AND ASKED WAS I BEING HELP AND I RESPONDED NO. HE WENT TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND BROUGHT SOMEONE OUT AND SAID "TAKE CARE OF HER" TO WHICH THE WORKER RESPONDED "I'M NOT ON THE CLOCK" THE GUY THEN SAID WELL PUNCH IN. SO THE WORKER RELUCTANTLY ASKED ME HOW CAN HE HELP ME? I TOLD HIM THAT MY TIRE LIGHT IS ON AND I NEED HIM TO CHECK IT OUT AS I HAVE THE INSURANCE. HE LOOKED UP MY INFORMATION IN THE COMPUTER, PRINTED SOME PAPERWORK, ASKED FOR MY KEYS AND TOLD ME TO HAVE A SEAT. AFTER AN HOUR OF SITTING, I WENT BACK TO THE FRONT TO SEE WOULD I BE ALMOST DONE BECAUSE AT THIS POINT I'M GOING TO LEAVE FOR LACK OF FOLLOW UP.A NEW GUY ASKED WHICH CAR DID I HAVE? I TOLD HIM AND THEN HE SAID OH YOUR FINISHED. I SAID WELL NOBODY WAS GOING TO TELL ME THAT, WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM? HE SAID APPARENTLY THERE WAS A NAIL IN THE TIRE AS HE WAS LOOKING FOR MY PAPERWORK&KEYS. HE COULDN'T FIND THEM, CALLED SOMEONE FROM THE BACK AND HE SAID I PUT THEM RIGHT HERE, THEY BOTH WENT TO THE BACK AND CAME BACK AND STILL COULDN'T FIND THEM HE THEN SAID TO THE GUY "I HOPE HE DIDN'T TAKE THEM HOME BY ACCIDENT" AS THEY BOTH WERE STILL TURNING THE DESK AREA UPSIDE DOWN. HE SAID GO CHECK THE CAR AGAIN JUST IN CASE WHILE HE MADE A CALL. AFTER ANOTHER 20 MINUTES HE RETURNED WITH MY CAR KEYS AND AN APOLOGY. SO I WENT OUT TO MY CAR TO FIND THE TIRE LIGHT STILL ON. I CAME BACK INTO THE STORE AND TOLD HIM (MARK) THAT THE LIGHT WAS STILL ON. HE SAID OH IT WASN'T REMOVED YET. I SAID YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME, WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT. HE SAID BECAUSE YOU SAID YOU WERE READY TO LEAVE. I AM SO UPSET AT THIS POINT THAT I HAVE TO LEAVE WITH A NAIL STILL IN MY TIRE. I WILL CALL CORPORATE FOR MY INSURANCE MONEY BACK AND WILL NEVER RETURN TO PEPBOYS AGAIN AND TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THE SERVICE IS SUBPAR, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I HAVE TO CHANGE THE STARS GIVEN PREVIOUSLY.

Received no calls at all while my car was there. Given wrong information when I had to call them to know anything about my car. Several times nobody answered the phone. Car sat for a week with nothing being done because they didn’t tell us they were having trouble getting a part. And after all that the $600+ repair they did fixed nothing.
