This Family Dollar is too expensive on most of their products and is taking advantage of low income people. Items that are .99 cent elsewhere, is $2 and $3 dollars in this store. Also, the cashier was very incompetent and did not give me the correct change back. I was shorted $3.80. When the manager came to fix the problem, he finally gave me my correct change but threw it on the counter with an attitude as if I made the error. I can see why this business is losing revenue and shutting down. I hope this location will be one of them. Very poor business.

I didn't have enough money on my food stamp card so I was just gonna get a few things to eat and a drink. The manager started scanning everything and gave it to me! I'm still crying! He is heaven sent! The store is very clean and they have everything! Great store great people!

This store is improving, they have started to clean up more and keep stock on the shelves. However, the management always sucks. I was informed (quite rudely) today that the store doesn't accept printable manufacture coupons, when a simple we don't accept those would have sufficed. I'm going to take my money and coupons elsewhere.

The manager Marcus Older man likes to follow you around at first I just thought it was a regular guy because he was not in his family Dollar uniform he also did not have any name badge on so I asked him are you following me and he told me no he was just doing his job putting out prices for the products it’s just so funny every ale that I went on he was right there all the years that I’ve been coming there I never had a problem he made me feel like if I was a thief but I’ve been coming here for years I know he’s only been there for a couple of months he’s always having fallen out with the customers in his staff don’t seem to be to happy there… I am calling corporate first thing don’t come to our neighborhood to make us feel like we are not supposed to be in there I am not the type to brag about money because I makes so much of it I have no reason to steal that’s why I feel so violated That he made me feel that way

Exceptional selection and friendly staff are helpful, in addition to its orderliness and cleanliness . I witnessed a sales associate turn away a young customer because he did not have the proper identification to purchase an adult product.On the down side during early hours, I experienced an unusual long wait at the cash register with no clerk nearby it. The occurrence happened at least twice where as I almost missed the transit bus by waiting well over five minutes. The store manager have to fix this sort of customer irritation.Update: It appears the store addressed the above concern (10/2017).

1st time to this location & its my FAVORITE one yet. The way the gentleman (Tyrone) @the front door greeted me I was hooked. I use a cane 2 walk so he graciously helped me w/my bags. Store was stocked well & clean & the prices are ALWAYS good.Store has always been my favorite store so I have nothing negative 2 say. Be back soon.

Management refused to return an item that I purchased with an RECIPIENT on the simple fact that I grab another item first before returning the other item. Had my 1 month old baby and 5yr old that I needed to get home so I just wanted to be in and out, he rudely told me I should of returned my Item first before purchasing another one I responded well I didn't know that and why does it matter if I have my recipient, he got upset and refuse to return my item he was rude disrespectful and unprofessional and should not be in that line of work because of his poor customer service. Since I lived in Bayshore I go to this family dollar on a regular but since then I have not been back and never will be I rather and do travel out my way just to go to the Brentwood location. It was completely unacceptable and upsetting!

07/01/2022 I thought there was an apocalypse in the store today. All the shopping carts were zip tied all together. Couldn't even get one cart so i guess they are there for show. No Tylenol, No Tums and barely any type of medicine...shelves bare naked. Oh but there was a few empty medicine bottles and boxes. I guess they are focusing more on saving shopping carts than selling product. Seriously...gas is way to high to come all the way to this store and hope they have what you need. I am not sure how there is no product on the shelf as 4 people were working or at least present including the manager. Store is filthy, messy an disorganized. What's worse is this particular Family Dollar has been open only a few years.

Given the circumstances they are doing pretty good to maintain a clean and orderly store. BUT the neighborhood it's in causes a bit of distress because not all of the people who shop here are taking Covid19 seriously. I'd recommend them having someone at the door to check for masks and public health.

This Family Dollar is all right with me. I've been too many, and by far this is the most spacious one. I going to Family Dollar for a laundry detergent. And every time I go there is always a sale. The aisles are clean and everything that I'm looking for I found it.

When the store first opened it was great! They always had what you wanted but for awhile now the store is always dirty, untidy and takes forever to restock on alot of items.

I love this store!!! It’s the most organized family dollar I’ve seen and to have it close by, is great. The prices are affordable even with name brands, they have an app that offers coupons off of already low prices.

So I went into the store and I talk to the manager and I told him there’s needles outside you might wanna get a broom and sweep them up there’s kid running around sometimes and they might pick one up he’s respond was kids don’t play with needles crackhead people do it doesn’t matter who does the most important thing is as a manager care about the safety of others especially kids

Always long lines with only one cashier. If you go a little after they open there is no one up front. You could be waiting at the register for 5 minutes so someone can ring you up.

The older dude following you around is another thing that is annoying 😒...the young lady at the registers is not never happy...nor does she know where anything is.
