Very confused as to why this Salvation Army thinks they are an antique or consignment store. The prices are ridiculous. A small breakfast table with chairs was $300, I saw a candle for 2.99 and behind it was the original tag that said it was on clearance for 75 cents. Mind you they get these items for free. It is disgusting how greedy they are. I can’t afford new furniture and apparently I can’t afford thrift furniture either, really disappointed.

Some stuff is ridiculously priced, sometimes you get a chair for a dollar and a brand new name brand pr of jeans for 99 cents. That's thrifting, and it's wayyyy cheaper than the Batavia Goodwill. People say employees are grouchy, but I don't find that to be true. Know the rules, no tag, no price...NO SALE, Period.

If you follow me and my reviews you know I'm a HUGE bargain hunter and absolutely despise paying full price for something I can get from a church sale or thrift store for a fraction of the price or better yet free! I also love the feeling of not adding to the landfill by recycling used! So I've been on the prowl looking for specific vintage curtains for my living room. Being in the Batavia area I stopped in the salvation army thrift store on Jackson st to hoping to find my curtains. Browsing the store I was approached by the assistant manager (Tanya) who made herself available for for any questions, what a nice surprise! Pricing is pretty good in my opinion, customer service is really good and the store is well organized. So the shopping experience was fun and I'll definitely go back again. Unfortunately my search continues for my curtains!

Never going back because it was so disgusting!! I wasn't expecting a super clean store, but there was a futon mattress that looked like it was pulled out of the "Hoarders" TV show and was caked in some brown mud/bug/fecal matter. I almost puked. I instantly left my shirt I had picked up, and felt like I had cockroaches crawling all over me! I've never been so grossed out and for a business to actually sell something like that is disgusting. Just because people don't have the cash to buy a brand new item, does not mean they don't care about cleanliness! Get your act together Batavia Salvation Army!!

i’d give 0 stars if i could. rudest employees of any establishment i’d ever been to, the cashier up front in particular - no clue how she still works there. half the clothes are ripped and stained. don’t bother going there.

Salvation Army gets things DONATED to them. Meaning. They make 100% profit. Today I walk in and was just looking around and saw a 2,500$ bed, 2,500. This is 100% profit for them for something that was donated. It's ridiculous. That's the price for stuff at a store you would get it new.

Like any low end thrift store expect there to be a smell and dust/lint. This one had plenty of room to maneuver around, was well organized had a good amount of inventory. From other reviews people mentioned the staff being bad, maybe I caught the staff on a good day but they greeted me at the door and was very friendly. Some notes-- A majority of the clothing range around $3-$5- Clothes with original retail tags ranged from $11-$16

Some things are way overpriced and the selections are quite limited. This is one of the most poorly stocked second hand stores I've visited. Staff is not very friendly. Best when tag specials are in play.

Very large and open floorplan. Lots of furniture as well. Some of the non-clothes shelves looked more empty, but that may be a factor of having so much space. Staff was courteous and friendly. And the prices were pretty good on most things that I looked at.

Why do they put tshirts mixed with other types of tops? Small selsection, but there's always the chance you'll find something interesting.

This is not mandi this is her fiance and prices were very high they want 550$ for 2 dressers it was ridiculous. I couldn't do that to people going there to find decent deals since it is salvation army.... its not supposed to be that expensive for the people. Feels like there starting to get really greedy.

Centrally located, The Salvation Army Thrift Store, is a consumers paradise. Selling brand name products at low prices. Electronics, clothes furniture. The store is well lit, very neat and excellent customer service. I enjoy shopping there.

The only pros of this business is they have an enormous selection, and their prices are lower than anywhere else. I will mention it is worth dealing with the negatives to save an exorbitant amount of money for most people. However: the large selection means a lot of garbage to sort through. The building itself and the items in it are dirty and poorly maintained. Their method of tagging clothing items is to STAPLE the tag through the fabric -- they have a perfectly functioning normal plastic tag machine that they use only on hats and ties; they choose to damage every single other item with a stapler. The products have almost no organization to them whatsoever which makes sorting through it very time-consuming, and the clothing is not organized by size either. The employees are almost entirely clueless and unhelpful, and in addition, they do not allow customers to use their restroom.

Big store with lots of inventory, you have to get there early if you want anything more than just clothes. Crabby staff and well picked over stock before it hits the floor. No gems left for those hunting.

Lots of stuff to browse though, like furniture, books, clothes and glassware. It was much nicer than the Goodwill in that area.No public bathroom but does have fitting rooms. The staff was friendly.

It's okay. The floor always needs cleaned, and there aren't as many non-clothing items is I remember, but we found some good things there.

Been shopping here for years and love it. From picture frames to a nice leather jacket. I never have to break $20 to get something cool.

The store itself was absolutely filthy. Truly disgusting. I left needing to wash my hands. Additionally, the staff was rude. I would not recommend this store to anyone, and I will not be returning.
