Peter and his wife run a great business. The pizza reminds me of the pizza that you can only get in the Bronx. My 93 year old Mom has been enjoying peters pizza for 37 years. The restaurant is a long drive from home, but we go regularly due to the quality.WOW IS THIS PLACE GREAT!

Il Castello is the go-to for my wife and I. I haven’t had all the menu options but I do like the lasagna and the chicken parm is the best! One thing I didn’t expect is that they make the Best Hamburger in the county… don’t take my word… go check it out for yourself… great service as well!You won’t be disappointed!

Pizza places usually make good cheesesteaks. The one I had here was one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had in my life... and it was huge. I ate the whole thing and barely touched my cheese fries because I was stuffed! I'll have to go back and try the pizza some time, if I'm not at the cardiologist haha.

As a true Foodie I cannot find one item on Ii Castello's menu that has not been prepared perfectly!!! A nice salad bar compliments the substantial portions served. PIZZA. ALL DELICIOUS!!!Parking: Grab a sandwich and walk down to the Delaware River to see the Eagles and kayaker..

I usually really enjoy the pizza. I had not ordered from here in a month or two. So much to my dismay, when I ordered here tonight, I was very disappointed. I know for a fact that I've gotten a Margherita pizza here before with sliced tomatoes, sliced fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. Tonight it was NOT made like that. And despite what the woman on the phone told me, it wasn't ALWAYS made the way we got it tonight, because if it had been I'd have never ordered it again. Also, those were not garlic knots I was given because garlic knots are not rolled up dough and cheese. I don't know what is going on here but it's changed and I'll be finding a new place. Highly disappointed.

I can't find anything wrong with this place it's got great food, great atmosphere, and the staff is awesome. It's also right there by the river too, so say you come off the river grab a slice and head back out your mistake is not grabbing two slices. Just don't think this place is just a pizzeria. They've got a great menu with other Italian dishes.

What a gem! We stopped by on a boring Saturday road trip. It's about an hour from our house in a small town, but they did not disappoint. The place is very clean and very welcoming. The waitresses were very nice and welcoming and the food was great. We ordered a handful of garlic knots, a slice of pizza(for our 8 year old) and two hoagies. Not a single complaint. We even had the honor of the owner come out and chat with us for a few minutes. Will definitely will be going back in the future.

Pizza by the slice or whole pie.The meatball sub was DELICIOUS.Mozzarella sticks were perfectly cooked. Not overly breaded and not too oily. They were very fresh.They offer Ken's brand ranch dressing.They do have WiFi for guest use.

Went here after rafting the whole day. They were sorta welcoming. The town people seemed kinda off at welcoming us. They gave us a menu but told us they can only serve pizza, fries, mozzarella sticks and wings. So there was really not much choice. I guess it was enough food to fill the need at the moment. There's also no service around this area.

Shameful .. the eggplant was the worst .. it was sour and the color was off and they knew it when they served it .. pizza in avg at best .. if you know real ny pizza you know what I’m talking about .. sticky table .. for service I had to keep getting waitresses attention .. never came by to see how we were doing .. I asked her you ok and she said ugh just don’t wanna be here .. unreal .. I ate there 3 years ago and didn’t like it figured we give it another try but still sucked .. anybody thinks this place is good don’t know good food

Although I've been patronizing this place for over ten years my experience is limited since I only ever get pizza, usually plain or with one item, and always to go. That said, this is some of my favorite pizza of all time. And I spent the first 50+ years of my life living in the NYC area. I always look forward to pizza day here in Barryville. Every once in a while, I've gotten a slightly sub-par pie, but hey, nobody bats a thousand. Extra credit to Pete and staff for staying open all through the pandemic. It was an invaluable service to the community.

We've always loved this place serving some of the best food around. We showed up on a Friday night but place was closed. So sad to see a for sale sign out front. Hope everything with family/owners is OK. We will miss you and your awesome food!

I have eaten Peter's pizza for most of my life, 25 years of his pizza. It's almost always great. There have been some pizza cooks that have come and gone who didn't always have the greatest pies, but generally you can expect a great slice. Decent prices for the pizza, and many specialty slices.I also like some of their dinners, and they have excellent hot and cold subs. I'm admittedly not a huge fan of some of their lunch menu items - burgers and the like. One complaint - I paid 9 dollars for a single slice of tiramisu, factoring in the credit card extra charge, but it's too pricey with or without the credit card charge added.

I have been going to them for yearsThe food has always been top notch. But alas all good things must come to an end. The last few pies we have gotten have become your basic upstate pizza. This last pie had crust that was so soggy we couldn't pickup a slice. My chicken Parm hero had no sauce. Sorry to say we will not be good back.
