I go here maybe once or twice a year because you can find good deals on christmas gifts and supplies. Beware, if you have anxiety, the store is not organized and prices are not always correct. Make sure to sign up for free to be a member, or you'll be paying more.

Lots of good deals, lots of cheap low quality items.You have to be selective when shopping here. Either you find a good deal or you buy a cheap piece of junk that breaks in five minutes.Which will it be? Guess we'll have to see 😉

Good prices on lots of stuff - I always come home with something 🙂. It's just a bit disorganized, not a clear section of items - socks or tops could be in 3 or 4 parts of the store.

I had forgotten what a great bargain hunting store Ocean State Job Lots is. It's been about 5 years since I sold my house in NY.And unfortunately this great discount retailer doesn't have any stores near my current home in Tampa. I needed a larger patio rug for my rv campsite, which is what brought me here last week. I got my patio rug and a whole bunch more. I highly recommend this fantastic discount retailer.

It's a shopping adventure with every visit. Who shops here? "Poor people and millionaires- anyone who appreciates finding a good deal". Inventory constantly changes, you can't count on a favorite item always being available, but that's part of the fun. Some of the things I like there are garden equipment and Burpee seeds, boating equipment, European foods, and cheap tools and painting supplies.

I wasn't familiar with this store/brand so stopped by to check it out. It's similar to Big Lots so the store can be a little messy/chaotic in appearance. With that said, there are some great values to be found. Some items were a little pricey for the quality/craftsmanship. Overall though, most items are bargain priced. I personally really liked the garden and patio merchandise. I got a beautiful bird bath and patio rug on sale and they were bargain deals!

Great place to stop and shop. We picked up a good sized Tarp for our wood pile. There prices are good on many items you use. We go every now and then. It is also good to become a member of the inside Club. We will definately be going back at various times when we need to get some items that are on sale.

Went on a Friday at 3pm, not crowded with people but the store is packed with merchandise everywhere! You can hardly get a cart up & down the aisles! My last trip I only needed a solar pool cover and 400 heavy duty paper plates. I was able to find both at very decent prices! The staff is always very friendly and helpful, they just need more cashiers & employees! Sometimes the wait in line to checkout can take 20-25 minutes.

There are some interesting finds from time to time. Overall, product quality is mediocre. Store is often disorganized and isles are a bit narrow & crowded. Prices are so-so, not always a big savings when you consider the lower quality.

My favorite store around, you can't be the prices. They have everything you don't need and everything you do too. They get surplus items from different stores the inventory is always changing, and almost everything is affordable. The crazy deals are a steal. I love their home goods, fun foods, and art supplies.

I only shop here because they sell dog bullysticks and have decent reading glasses. The older cashiers seem more interested in themselves and their conversations then being friendly to the customer. If you aren't naturally friendly or a people person then please don't work here. The younger workers they had before were nicer.

I love this store. Buy all my pots, plant needs, rugs, birdseed, pool floats etc etcLove specially the food selections. Always look forward to new items- their cookies are the best.My husband used to shop there & every visit reminds me of him.

UPDATE: I am disgusted. Standing in line I just witnessed a cashier, VALERIE, bully an elderly patron. When this elderly woman asked a simple question about the crazy deals program Valerie talked down to her without answering her question. Then was physically pushy (taking her card out of her hand, throwing the scanner) and rude throughout the transaction. Would not even help her bag her groceries when she asked. I can't believe Ocean State lets someone like this interact with customers. If you, Valerie, as a middle aged woman, can't respect our elders what is wrong with you. If you hate your job that much go find a new one don't take it out on the meek old lady who you know won't defend herself. Bully!! Ocean State this is not OK!!Always very tidy and clean in this OSJL. Good selection! I prefer over the Clifton Park location.

Strange how the lady who works there had her big cart ( used to offload the store goods)right in the middle of the small aisle blocking the aisle and when I stopped and said: excuse me, so she can move the massive cart to one side since no others carts could pass by on those sides, she was rude and very expressive in her distaste of my request.

I pick up odds and ends here, especially my Bob Red Mill''s gluten free 1:1 flour. Staff is friendly and helpful. They are also carrying more gluten free products and the prices are always reasonable.

It's so exciting here! How does one not spend hours in this place?! What a blast. Familiar and friendly staff as well that are always nice to see, and are always super helpful and understanding if you need anything. The building is a little outdated compared to other OSJLs, so just be aware, but it certainly doesn't take anything away from the experience. Online ordering to the store is a nice improvement over the last year or two as well.
