I don’t know why this dollar general is even open. One star is way too good to give this store. There is never anything in stock. I can get baking soda a lot cheaper next store at the grocery store. Their prices are way too high. Their customer service is horrible. Employees are outside smoking all the time but the shelves aren’t stocked. Never in three years. Have I been able to complete a grocery list because they’re always out of some thing or a lot of somethings. We should just think about getting rid of this Dollar General. Close it down and let some thing else that’s more useful Move in to that area. They should’ve never have let this Dollar General build this store.

The women are nice that work here. I realize they may be short staffed and can't keep up with stocking the shelves however the boxes in the aisles are blocking other merchandise and other shoppers. Prices shown are not always what they ring up. Today I went there for a 1 day sale, the aisle that the item previously was in was not found so I asked a man that was busy stocking shelves. He didn't even look up just seemed annoyed people were there. He told me it's next to the seasonal aisle. It took me 3 aisles to find the kitchen item hidden on a shelf with blankets. Also when I type my phone number in they do not acknowledge a digital coupon. They are either rushing or ignore it. Today I entered my number in time and it was not honored. She put the receipt in my bag. When I went home and looked the receipt was half printed and no digital coupon. The self checkout never honors them either

As I am a very frequent spender of my hard earned money at dollar general in the village of Ballston spa I find it to actually be more degrading to shop there day by day! The employees seem very bothered to do what their job entails of them and what they are paid to do! They do not respond to questions of help with finding merchandise they’ll just tell you where it is or no they don’t have it in stock when you clearly just seen it on a big metal cart blocking the back walkway of the paper plate aisle! A cart they just don’t want to put away for days on end knowing customers are asking for those products! As well as how they address customers I was in there at 8:30 on 3/18/2022 to purchase some hair rollers and I was rudely addressed by a very untrained unprofessional employee about smoking inside which I would never do and he seen me walk in with them and didn’t say anything at all at first then walked around an entire aisle holding a box that was empty just to say something that wasn’t needed! but again because he seen me carrying my cigarettes because I had no pockets and walked there from my actual place of employment before dollar general closed for the night, he assumed. His tone and body language was so disrespectful as all can be. as I simply responded my cigarettes aren’t lit if you could please look before being so impeccably rude to me as I spend my money here it would be greatly appreciated! If he just took a second too look up from the floor he seems to be in love with he would of seen that! This boy has been employed here for a while now and still seems to not know how to handle his job or how to talk to customers! I find It very unsuccessful and demeaning of a company to allow this unprofessional behavior to continue to happen! He should not be allowed to speak so rudely and if he can’t change how his behavior and tone is with customers and do his job that he’s paid to do then dollar general should replace him with someone who really needs the job and cares about the job! People like this do not make us want to spend our money here! This is also not the first time he has disrespected someone shopping there! A corporate complaint will be made this time. Too many companies are favoring this behavior and it must stop!

Store does not keep proper Inventory. Had a door dash order for 7 items today and only 2 we're available employee seemed unphased by the issue. There was stocking carts blocking more isle than not and an employee who didn't work there was of no help in finding the things on my list. DG needs to cancel their partnership with DD if they are not going to upkeep their inventory.

Decent selection, decent prices. Never know what they'll have in stock so don't go in there expecting to find a certain thing.Place is usually in disarray, with half empty shelves and unstocked items cluttering the walkway.You might have to wait to check out because you can't know for sure when the cashier will be back. If you're lucky the self checkout will be open 🤞Sometimes you can find a deal if you're thrifty, if not then you might get swindled into purchasing an overpriced item that'll break in 5 minutes.That's what makes shopping here so much fun! 😆😒

Got to this store shortly after opening. Could barely move through the aisles due to carts of product that needed to be put away in just about every other aisle. Wanted to get paper plates and the entire shelf of plates was blocked. Employee was less than friendly, made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Not sure what happened here because this store was awesome when it first opened. Always clean and always friendly employees,Not the case anymore..I'll only go here as a last resort

The cashier was friendly and they seem to have a fairly large selection. A lot of name brands which didn't seem to be any cheaper than Target or Walmart. The off brand stuff must be where the savings is. Biggest complaint was that there is absolutely no service of any kind anywhere in the store. Dropped a call, failed texts, no internet on my phone.

I used to love dollar general the people used to be friendly but finding the West milton ny manager to be under trained and does a lot of things management isn't supposed to do. Especially smoking all shift no matter when you go she's usually out the front door. Tonight she was engaging in undermining a coworker to another coworker at the cash registers. Now unless I absolutely need something my business is leaving.

The Dollar General in Ballston Spa has a variety of products. Each day going is like you are in a different store, always something new. I have been in this store on several occasions, various time of day, and the store is always well organized. All staff will go out of their way to assist the customer. The store is an asset to Ballston Spa. The store is well maintained, always clean. I know the manager has a lot of input for the store organization , etc. Thanks to the manager and staff working well together is what keeps this store enjoyable, etc.

Could barely walk through the aisles in this store. Only one person could go at a time or you couldn't even fit the shopping cart down the aisle because they have stuff blocking the aisles . I'm not gonna go to this dollar general anymore. I ll go to the burnt hills one if I have to .

Store could be so much cleaner. Always their carts filled with product to stock directly in your way. One cashier that seems to always be having a terrible day. Very rude and horrible customer service. If she smiled, her face would crack.

They deserve ZERO stars. They sell expired food and beverage. Bought soda in December that expired in August and September. Didn't even think had to check the dates until opened a bottle and it tasted flat. They should be shut down. Cashiers take forever and make many mistakes. Don't go here if time means anything to you.

The store manager is lazy and never there, she has employees digging in the trash for receipts so she can go on her devices and do survey's instead of doing stock, if she isn't there and employees have a problem with something good luck to them because she will leave them hanging and not answering her phone, I know several employees that worked here and she will work you harder than anyone dont apply here, you will have to do everything that she is expected to do if not you'll lose your job

I love Dollar General for all those things I forgot to put on my shopping list. I always find great buys especially for cleaning projects. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Very rude customer service from the cashier Stephanie from the dryden store she’s lazy has other people do more work then her while she stands around and does nothing and tells customers to shut up very unprofessional and after todays fiasco I think corporate should shut the work place down

Customer service is the worst. Will never go back there again. Entire staff needs to be fired and store restaffed with employees that actually know how to do their jobs. Manager on duty was conducting store business in back office when I went to return something was told I would be at least 45 minute before she would help me because she was off the clock. When asking for her managers name and number to complain about her. She informed me aha was going to call the cops on me. She walked away again then returned telling me " to get the F#$K out of her F%!KING store". Already contacted corporate to have this employee terminated and voice my disatifaction on how I was treated by this person.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY. TRAVEL TO BURNT HILLS BEFORE GOING HERE.

I was very disappointed with the customer service. The prices for the clearance were ringing up wrong. It was suppose to be an extra 50 off of clearance. And I still walked away feeling upset. I got home and my prices we're still wrong. Even though she said she fixed them. She wasn't very nice as an associate

I always forget that I don't like the layout of this store, it has always been crowded as to the aisles and misplaced or stocking units. Staff is so so depending on the time, just not as home town feel as the other.

I was able to get a large envelope so I could mail paperwork out. I got quick service and very polite. All employees and customers had masks on.

This dollar general in particular was very unorganized and had things tossed everywhere. Waited ten mins at a register. Just awkwardly standing there with another customer waiting to make my simple purchase.

While the store was decent a lot of the items were over priced while Walmart has the same item for a better value. Save your trip and go to a better store

My son was sick dollar general had everything I Needed from baby Vicks, pedylite, baby Tylenol I was happy I only had to go to one store.
