Staff is so friendly and helpful every time I come. Twice they have gone out of their way to really help me out! The first time one of the guys at the register took the time to assist me in finding the exact size of screw that I needed (up on a high shelf that I couldn’t see when I looked myself). Today the gentleman working there helped me to color-match the spray paint that I used on my shutters, so that I could buy paint for my front door. He wasn’t sure if it was going to work, but he was happy to try it to help me out. The color match was great, and it was so kind of him to take time trying something that might not have worked. Overall, excellent customer service and wonderful selection!

Hardware store thays close for repairs if needed, and other household items. It's a little high on the prices, but sometimes i dont want to drive up to fckin Home Depot, in saratoga.so.off were going.

Milton Allerdice is my favorite store. And I'm very familiar with where to find most things Today I needed a wide variety of items, all were things I haven't purchased there before. I walked most every aisle then finally gave up and went to the front desk to ask for assistance. I was skeptical when I got there, the only 2 at the desk were very young, maybe 20ish and I've never seen them before. I had already looked at the website and knew they were there somewhere. I asked one of the young men where 3 items were. Without hesitation, he told me aisle numbers and where they were in the aisle. I went and found everything I needed. When I checked out, he offered assistance to get everything from my cart to my car. I was impressed with their knowledge and customer service attitude. Thank you for everything Milton Allerdice and great job on your employee choices and training!

Cramped isles and tight spaces... are what make this hardware store great. They've managed to fit so many necessities in their space it's amazing; all meat, no fat. It's stocked to brim with everything you'll need from a hardware store.

I have called this ACE twice to order a gift for my son who lives in the area. Everyone I worked with was great. John, the manager is really fantastic. He worked with me to ensure we got the best deal on what we wanted and he worked with us on getting delivery too. On my recent call, the store had reduced hours due to Covid-19. I didn't realize this can called close to closing by mistake. One of the items I wanted was on the last day of a sale. John stayed late to take the order so I could get the sale price. The store was busy due to lovely weather and I suppose people were needing garden supplies. But John took the time again to ensure we got the best gift at the best price. Kudos and THANK YOU!

Obviously a bit more pricey than it's big competitors but extremely friendly staff and has what ya need for home improvements (so locals like me don't have to drive too far for their 10 trips of unexpected items needed for each home project)

It's a pretty solid local hardware store. Their prices are higher than their big box competitors but the convenience is often worth the cost. They have a good selection of screws and the sort which is helpful when you drop/lose a screw and don't want to live without it.

ORIGINAL: Excellent customer service and they seem to have everything I come in for. They are NOT cheap but the service is worth the additional costs over a store like Lowe's. 5 stars.UPDATE: The teens that work here routinely give incorrect information rather than simple say "they do not know". This defeats the entire reason of going to a more expensive hardware store than Lowe's where I can get bad help all the time but pay a fraction of the price. So, if you know what you want...go to Lowe's. If you have a question- do not rely on many of the kids that work there here when the older folks are not available. The owner needs to be more involved. New rating 2 stars.

This is not a place that I go often, but it happens to be the closest hardware store to my house which means if I need something quick and I don't want to go very far I might go here. I appreciate the fact that they offer a veteran's discount. They usually have the things that I need, although I find the prices to be slightly higher than the bigger box stores. They are still in the tradition of the small town business, and deserve our support despite the fact that they have to charge a little bit more than the bigger stores.

Nice store well organized prices higher than Lowes or HD but much better customer service when I walk in and ask where something is they know and that's what set's them ahead of big box stores. Only complaint would be Sundafternoons can be a little challenging

Really good place if you need just about anything. as a DIY guy I come in here all the time for random things. Well organized, always clean. Really good assortment of nuts, bolts, washers, etc. If you think they have what you need then they probably do but its sometimes hard to find it since its so compact, staff know just where it is.

It's so great that these places still exist, it's corporate, but it's got a little bit of that local hardware store feel. The selection is quite good and the store is s good size. Very helpful if somewhat lackadaisical staff.

Asked the associate to cut a length of wire at 30 feet. The associate started to fold the wire and creasing the wire every 2 feet. I continued shopping while he started that. I did not realize what he was doing until he folded and creased the wire 15 times.

Great help when you can't find what you need by yourself prices are a little above average but for convenience it's totally fine and they have just about anything for a home projects you could need
