Selection will depend on what has been donated, but the prices are quite good on most things. While quilters will have the lion's share of the fun, there is also yarn, sewing patterns and notions, needlework projects, books and magazines, and far more than I can hope to list out.$15 minimum for using a card.The staff is mostly (all?) volunteers, and very cheerful and friendly. My hands got dirty rifling through things, but the vibe was more than worth it. Everyone seemed happy to be there, and I will be happy to visit again, once I get my current haul sorted and stored at home.

I knit for charity and love finding wonderful yarns that can be used for hats and mittens at such a low cost. There is no other place in Auburn that has a good yarn selection. The ladies that work there are so nice and helpful. I can't wait to see their new location

I did not know about Sew What until while looking at yarn in our local Wal-Mart, a lady who was walking down the same aisle as me, asked me if I ever went to Sew What. Well, she gave me the biggest scoop of my life and I have been a customer at Sew What ever since. They have an absolutely outstanding supply of everything a crocheter, knitter, seamstress, needlepointer and any fiber artist you can think of and name, could want. From acrylic yarn to wool yarn, from every kind of fabric you could ever want or need, zippers, buttons, needlepoint kits, felt, upholstery, patterns, crochet hooks and knitting needles, they have it. The volunteers at Sew What are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, they're amazing. Sew What is the best thing that has happened to Auburn NY in years. A special thank you to this wonderful venture.

This shop is a little gift full of surprises! The store may be small, but it is chock full of fabric, yarn, and notions, all priced very fairly. The women that staff the store are volunteers, and they are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I never leave empty handed or without learning something new. Highly recommend!
