Lowes has joined the many disappointing stores that force customers to use a self check out. There are many staff in the store and we were asked many times if we need help, but all wanted was to be able to check out normal. It's is not like self checkout has lowered prices. Although I have always liked Lowes better guess I will drive across town to Home Depot they still have old fashioned system that keeps customers.

This is a great Lowes location. The staff are very helpful. The store is always clean and the auburn Lowes location usually has what you're looking for. If the auburn Lowes location does not have it in stock, you are able to order it to the store next-day for free. The restrooms are always kept clean. Over all the auburn lows location maintains 5 stare service and convenience with the ease of picking up your ordered packages.

Good store. They have all the plant and garden-related materials I need. Sometimes stuff is hard to find, tho. Overall a good store.

**Stay Away from Employment**Steve -the manager is lier, and lies to your face about job opportunities, communicating with you, and faked a interview process just to do it and get it done. My name, and gender wasn't what he wanted or had looked at.Was discrimination the reason? How about gender discrimination? How about because I truly wasn't his type sexuality ? Ya, poor company and its respectstowards others. This is the manager of this area, specifically so. Directly so.** Will be filling charges. Please be advised, this location is a discrimination based company here. **

I've given Cortland and Auburn Lowes stores one or two stars on their customer surveys since COVID, to no avail. Did somebody finally read the scores? I have been pleasantly surprised in the last 2 months. More associates walking the departments asking if you need help. Kudos to Tony at the Auburn store. He helped me find what I was looking for, with a smile, pushed my heavy cart, with a smile, waited at the checkout with me and loaded everything into my car, with a smile. Now that is 5 star service.Thank you Tony. I have seen improvement in customer service in both stores.

Bought a vanity last night, got it home and it's damaged...by the looks of it they picked it up with a forklift and stabbed it...called them today and they won't take any money off of it cause it was a on sale item (sold as is...) said I could bring it back and exchange it but I live an hour away and it's not worth the gas to drive all the way back there...asked them if they could transfer one to a store closer to me and they said I have to order it online and exchange it at the store when it gets there...I would've been happy with a gift card for the damage to the item I bought...says right on the box DO NOT USE FORKLIFT!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡

I went into Lowes to purchase 4 2 by 4's and have them cut. I pushed the button for service in wood cutting area and the gentleman showed quickly to assist me. I told him what I needed and he walked me to them and helped me pick out 4 pieces , measured them and cut them all while talking to me.Greg is his name at the Auburn,NY Lowes and he was awesome. Very polite and most of all helpful and attentive to my needs. Great job Greg - you are appreciated by me. 😊

Do not do business with this store. I bought a zero turn 5 days ago. It broke in 20 minutes. I have been given nothing but attitude and issues about getting it replaced. The lack of communication between staffing is a joke. I have spent hours of my time on the phone with multiple people to remedy this situation. I am still waiting on a solution. I have been lied to and given a run around. Lowes does not stand behind the product they sell and they make it seem like it's the customers problem if something break within a day of purchase. I have never been treateDo not purchase anything from this location if you can avoid it.

If anyone finds a store less helpful than this one please let me know because I don't believe its possible. Employees are rare to come by and managers are even less scarce. Horrible customer service. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and drive to the other part of town to the Home Depot.

Store was well stocked, and very easy to navigate. Aisles are clearly labeled, and clear of obstacles. Found the Employees to be very friendly and helpful. Very easy access and plenty of parking spaces. Prices ... reasonable. Highly recommend for any DIY job.

One can spend a good deal of time looking for what one needs, especially if someone is not readily available in a section or customer service. The workers assigned to different stations are very helpful, especially in the lumber section where an associate has been cheerfully ready to cut wood when requested. The prices are excellent. The store is well lit. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. Strong blue collar vibe.

Customer service is outstanding.Austen in lumber was courteous and professional. I've been in construction for decades, he knows his way around a tape measure AND a saw. He was willing to make 4 precise cuts for me. I'll be back!!

It doesn't even seem like lowes anymore the truth is this store had gone down hill steadily for at least the last 4 years. When they got rid of the manager in the outside lawn and garden it has been sliding ever since. Remember when the employees always asked if you needed help? When was the last time you heard it? Now you have to cash yourself out too. There was a time that you could just present your military ID for a discount then you had to register online and use your phone number now you need your Military ID again and your phone number and someone to verify it what a bunch of runaround! But at least we have a choice still. I gave it a 3 but I don't think it's that good.

Plenty to like. Gardening section has many plants and accoutrements to help with them as well as helpful staff. Hardware, cleaning supplies, lumber, plumbing, electrical, tools, appliances. Often seems to rely on self-checkout to the point that cashiers don't seem fully competent. Lately seems like more folks are around to help you out who are knowledgeable and willing to assist.

1st time we went we were buying a Dryer and nobody would come to help us. 2nd time we went waited at checkout for 20 mins so we left. 3rd time was tonight had over $300. Dollars worth of supplies and once again waited at checkout, so we went to customer service and ask if anyone was working the registers and there were 3 people there and gave us an attitude. From now on we will go to Home Depot at least they respect the thier customers. Lowe's sucks.

Paid for delivery of a refrigerator. They informed me that I would need to disconnect the water line on the old one then left the new one in the middle of the kitchen (and not connected to the water line). Also bought a dishwasher, waited 6 weeks for delivery and install for the in stock item. The installer left, leaving a puddle in my cabinet which he said was just from him doing the install. I cleaned up that mess then ran the dishwasher and it leaked all over the cabinet. I called lowes, thandwaited 2 weeks for a service call. They tell me now that the appliance is defective and needs Tobe replaced but I need to pay for the replacement and then get reimbursed bythem

One star is too much for our experience tonight...but had to pick something to leave a review....My husband and I were looking to purchase a new stove. We went to Lowe’s and found one that we were interested in buying. We went & compared prices at Home Depot (where the woman was very helpful and knowledgeable about her department) and found that the price at Lowe’s was indeed cheaper for the same stove. So we went back to Lowe’s to buy the stove we wanted. Not one employee would take the time to come over and help us (either time). Both times we stood around the area where the applicancea were waiting foe someone to acknowledge us. And...NOTHING. There were groups of employees standing around having a good time talking and joking around. There was one person in the immediate area where we were waiting and she walked around, saw me standing there and turned her back. Never once asking if we were being assisted or if we could use her help. Very disappointed and disgusted at the customer service at the auburn location. The manager was made aware of this. Unsure if anything will be said or any change will be made because of this but I will not be spending money at Lowe’s anymore.
