I love the wide array of items that you have to choose from in the store. Even with prices of everything today being Sky High I find their prices Fair... and their staff friendly.

We shop here every few months ore so. Never really have an issue with Big Lots itself. We had an order for an adjustable bed frame that had a 10-week lead time. Not a problem. However, when we received the email to come to the store to pick it up on the 28th of May, the frame was not there. The associate asked if we received a call to pick it up, I said no and showed him them the email telling me to pick it up on the 28th and the day was the 1st of June. The associate stated that's why they tell people when they have something ordered to not come to the store unless you get a phone call. Then proceeded to tell me it was re ordered on the 20th of May and that it was discontinued and we would not be getting it. I asked why they didn't call and tell us when they reordered it that it wasn't coming. No comment other than they kinds of things glitch in the system. So it came time to refund the money and couldn't not put the money back to the Big lots card that was used without the card. They had to give me cash and then didn't even bring the right amount to refund me so I had to wait even longer for them to get to correct amount of money cause the associate tried to do a change order for the register at the same time and couldn't get the register to open and had to reset it. No on sorry came out of the person's mouth for the order. Just a sorry for trying to to a change order for my register before taking care of the customer, and that was kind of a smug one too. I was not rude or loud. I didn't even act annoyed. I was just blown away by the lack of care and consideration for the order and what happened and the lack of care and consideration for the refund. Now what if I wasn't me and all I did was go in there with my name and asked for a refund in cash. They never asked for an order number or receipt. Just a name. I showed the email to prove I was told to pick it up. They didn't even really want to see that. Just crazy. The is the Auburn location on 5 and 20 NY. I wouldn't recommend this store. No care seemed to be given. O well. Moving on.

Pleasant and helpful staff at a decent sized and clean store.Reasonable bargains to be had on a variety of grocery and home goods, with a good selection of seasonal items available. A small section of ethnic food options is good for when you want to try something new

This store can be hit or miss. There have been ties where I have come in and the place smells great, has awesome staff, and the shelves are full and the aisles are clear. Other times it has looked like a tornado just plowed through carrying away half the merchandise and throwing the rest on the floor. I have also found some prices to be crazy high, and some things an absolute bargain. I've learned to expect anything before entering.

This is a place where you have high Hope's in buying something but leave with the disappointment of insanely over priced stuff. Half of the stuff can be matched to dollar store quality with the prices of bed bath and beyond.Cleanliness of the store is horrifying pandemic or not.The amount of dirt and grime I see in the areas that are important to customers are over the line. Their food area is dirty and some food packaging left open or on the ground. Staff do not do enough checks around these areas to keep up with any messes.

Went to get affordable furniture for the living room. They didn't have what we wanted in stock, and couldn't tell me when it would be just that they would call. Plus they don't deliver, said they could recommend a third party at like $80 in the city of auburn. We live outside the city, I feel like that's ridiculous. Can rent a box truck for less than that. But the selection is good and seems to be decent quality.

I went t toBiglots two weeks ago to buy one of the many gazebo's they had displayed. I was told the were sold out so I asked if I could but the display and was told they couldn't sell them until July. Well, today is July first and I was the first customer there. When I walked in, the displays were gone. I was told they were okayed to sell them a week and a half ago!!.I have shopped a lot here but won't be going back. If you tell a customer one thing don't change it two days later!

It's a 2-3 star cheap discount store. Have to watch what you buy, things are mostly made in China with POOR quality. I have purchased quite a few items that broke. I have since learned to keep my receipt as they will take things back w/in 30 days. I bought a 20x path light 2 pack for list $25 got on saler for $18.75. Guess what, 1 works, 1 dosen't. Guess where I am headed this morning and pay that second box is still there as all outdoor lights we cleaned out beofere july 4th. Staff, when you can find one, are generally pleasant. Boxed and canned food not a bad price.

It's ok if you have a lot of time to just look around for what you want. Could be better organized for easier shopping for those who need to get in and get out. Plan on taking your time if you don't shop there very much.

The place is rearranged and very different from what it was like. I'm glad it still has a selection of the same things, just not in the same quantity. I was able to pick up what I needed but not the impulse goodies.

Better costumer service and pricing, than any other furniture store in Auburn. Food is very hit or miss, and seasonal goods always available for a fair price.

Big lots is my freaking JAM. If I'm feeling sad but know I cant afford to be *Target* sad, I head right over to Big Lots. Their household decor is usually a perfect pick me up, and they have the most amazing spring and summer collections I swear. If you're in the market for furniture they've got it- you cant go wrong here!

Some items are cheaper and give you a deal. Some are a little more or same cost as other stores. It's all like close out items. Best way to save is with coupons.

I bought a 3 piece set of livingroom furniture at their big sale on January 19th. This was not a snap decision. I'd been looking at various sets for a couple of months when I was told about this sale. Had to pay for delivery the following Friday. This set was made by Simmons and made in the USA. Great right? Nope, less than 1 week later I noticed the fabric has wrinkles, not taut to the cushions. Looked like I'd owned it for 2 years with 10 grandkids (ok, slight exaggeration) but not what I was expecting. I had a pleather set for 7 years that I bought from Big Lots. Great set. My daughter is using that set now. So, I call the store and talk to Al from furniture. Nice guy, listened to me, said he would check with someone else and get back to me as to what could be done about my sagging furniture. Guess what? He called me back that same afternoon. They were coming out to replace the entire sofa and bring 2 new cushions for the loveseat the following week at My Convenience.... Sure enough, Al and a friend used his pickup truck and brought out the new pieces and took the old back to the store. They put the new feet on for me, they were polite and understanding. No hassles whatsoever. I'm hoping it was a "badly manufactured set", and no further problems with the new.Big Lots rates high on my chart. When Customer Service is at an all time low for when you pay big bucks, it's nice to know that Big Lots stands behind their stuff and treats their customers with respect. Yay, Big Lots! Yay, Al.
