I recently took my son there to get the itch out of wanting a cat, lol. No intentions of adoption, then there was Joey. He was so snuggly and loving, after a few days we decided to foster to adopt him if it worked out, we have two older cats and two dogs. Everyone there was so nice and very helpful and understanding through the whole process, they kept in touch with us every few days. I was a little concerned after three days at home because he was very shy with my son who just wanted to hold him all the time and my one female cat who wasn't happy, I'm glad we waited and by the weekend he was sleeping in Lincoln's bed! He has adjusted so well. I don't know how we got lucky enough to find him, he has such an awesome personality. Anyone interested in adopting/foster they are definitely the place to go. Jackie was awesome in the whole process, thank you again for letting us adopt Joey.

Wonderful adoption experience. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The shelter itself is extremely clean and well maintained. I was given a whole bag of food with my adoption too which helps out! Overall just a very pleasant experience and I would 100% recommend taking a trip out here to visit the pets :)

It was a wonderful experience! We met Jackie and saw so many cats and kittens that all have a very nice, clean space to live in. They aren't in an individual cage unless they need to be so there is plenty of room for them to roam, just as if they were at home. If you have time and love to give to one of these furry friends, give Jackie a call and set up a visit.

This shelter provides a wonderful service to the community. They have a dedicated group of volunteers who care for every animal as they were their own. Rescue is incredibly hard work and requires a big heart as well as tough decisions. The board members, volunteers and employees (only 2 or 3) do an amazing job and can never be recognized or thanked enough for their contributions.

I adopted our 1 yr old Bernese Mountain dog from here a few weeks ago & it was a great experience. They were quick to respond to application & questions & thorough in making sure we were the best fit for each other through each step including 2 meet & greets. Dude (now Bryley) is the perfect addition to our family & my other dog (2yrs old) & cat (9yrs old) adore him. He is a giant cuddle bear! Thank you Wyoming County SPCA!!

We had adopted our baby Ramen from Wyoming County Spca about a week ago and I have never felt more secure about an adoption center than this one. Very trustworthy workers who know about their kitties enough to share her favorite toys and favorite spots to hangout with us prior to adoption. It’s very helpful when an Spca has knowledge about their animals and is honest about their personality pre adoption. Ramen is a spunky kitten and has a long happy life ahead of her! Jackie was VERY helpful and supportive through our adoption journey and it feels comforting to know the animals are in good hands while at the shelter. Would recommend this spca to anyone looking to adopt as the animals are very friendly, happy, and healthy!

The Wyoming County SPCA is such a caring and friendly facility. The cleanliness of the facility is very impressive. Each cat and/or kitten has a comfortable space with just the right enrichment toys for them. The cats are not lacking the opportunity for entertainment including rooms with windows to look outside and various cat trees. Every aspect of this facility is set up with the comfort and care of the animals in mind. The staff is very friendly and happy to answer any questions.

We adopted a kitten and are waiting to get him. He still needs to be neutered. O cant say enough about how great the staff was that helped with our adoption. She went beyond to assist us...very clean housing for all those beautiful kitties. Thank you again for our handsome new family member.

Our family wanted to adopt from here as we are Wyoming County residents but i think we would of had a better chance adopting a baby from a foreign country. They were very cold and non responsive. We waited weeks with no response after our application process.We ended up going to the Allegany County SPCA and we adopted 2 wonderful kittens in the same day not weeks!They are praised as being so wonderful but I would definitely not use those words.I suppose if you don't adopt out the animals you get more funding and donations. Its kind of like prisons the more inmates you have the more money you get. So friendly and loving really cares about the animals and their well-being cutest animals ever. 😍 sadly couldn't fill out a application for a dog adoption, the ones we wanted were already claimed by other families .😔 But we found a German shepherd Belgian malinois mix in Erie county spca. But that doesn't mean we won't forget in the future for future adoption options.

This shelter has come a long way since I adopted my last cat from here 14 years ago. It is clean and the cats are well taken care of. The volunteers know each cat and their temperament. They were kind. Our adoption process was seamless and we are enjoying our new family member very much. She is keeping us in our toes! The staff sent home a care package with all the kitten's information, food and toys. It couldn't have been an easier transition. Thanks for everything!!

The people are very caring, friendly, and do a great job taking care of the animals while they are waiting for adoption. The building is clean, and all the animals seem healthy, happy, and well cared for. If you are looking to adopt a new family member, I highly recommend this place!

I absolutely love this place! They take such great care of the animals! The adoption package comes with the animal being spayed or neutered, micro chipped, flea treated, and more! Couldn’t be more happy with the ladies at the Wyoming county spca! Thank you for helping me find my new kiddy!

The only reason for one star is because I couldn't give zero!! They call themselves an "animal protection organization" what a joke. With so many animals needing a home my wife was told that she should look elsewhere for a pet! Several weeks ago the application was completed, pet supplies were purchased, a new vet was lined up & references were supplied. They had over a week to make simple calls to check references (not one call was made). I don’t normally write reviews but this was one of the most annoying experiences we have ever had-we recently lost our cat and our kids have been begging for another so we decided we’d give this nice country spca a try...long story short we get all 4 of our children and take a nice drive, cat carrier in hand-the girl tells us there is ‘adoption paperwork including references’ to fill out, strange to us but ok fine-then she tells us it’ll be a few days after we spend 45min picking just the right cat to jive with our family and well mannered kids and from the group that the girl told us would be better suited with our two dogs-we fill out necessary paperwork and go home to wait what we were told would be a few days...4 days go by so I call only to have the girl tell me that we’re getting rejected because we are going to have him be an indoor/outdoor cat?! We had just had a conversation with her about this in the clinic, never was this mentioned! I mean they are cats, they like to hunt, we live in the country ya’ll-our kids had a name picked out and have been busy preparing him a place in our loving home too 🤦‍♀️ Unbelievable...there are hundreds of cats looking for good homes, we’ll be taking business elsewhere but would have been nice to save us all the suspense and just tell us that up front in the first place

All the staff members we met with were all extremely friendy and helpful. The facitiy and animals were very clean and well cared for and you can tell they genuinly care about the animals going to loving forever homes.

They treat people like trash. The attitude they give people is wrong. Just because a person wants an animal for indoor/outdoor doesn't give these people the right to discriminate. I would not recommend getting your animal from them or giving one to them.
