I highly recommend this place!!! The owner is always extremely sweet & knows exactly what advice to give based on your pet needs. They do a lot of dog friendly events like photos with Santa! I mostly keep reptiles & can always rely on the feeder insects here. They have a large variety of pet supplies, fish, & feeders. I love this place and can always rely on them!!! Everyone knows how hard it can be to find certain pet items in the city, especially for reptiles, but Tom’s has it all!

First, I was so happy that Tom was the guy behind the counter! Hooray for small businesses!Second, there's a nice array of natural, non-filler pet foods here. If you are looking for good pet food - and a nice selection of it - this is the place to be. Tom is, no surprise, a great resource, friendly and helpful. There were several other customers in the store who clearly make this shop a regular stop in their shopping and socializing days. A great neighborhood business.

Tom is such a great guy! I was watching my friend's dog while they were away and ran out of the certain type of food that the dog was used to. After a quick Google search, I was on my way to Tom's Pet Supply and he helped me find the dog food I needed as well as made some great suggestions for all-natural treats. I told my friend about Tom's and they are now a regular! Thanks Tom!

Brought a tank some time ago. Had a problem setting it up I called them asked a few questions, idk who answered the call but he had attitude and can’t bothered. Don’t aim to be the best if customers are not a priority.

THEY DESERVE MORE THAN 5 STARS !I moved to Astoria about 4/5 years ago and this is the only pet store I’ll shop at.Tom and his crew go above and beyond for there customers and all the animals coming into there shop.I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and have introduced them to Tom as he is part of the family!!Tom has personally delivered me food for all of them on very short notice. He even will call a company to get them to send me the exact food I need as most of my animals are on a strict diet. With that strict diet he always lets me know what treats my boys can or can not have which is GREATLY appreciated!!!I could go on and on about the amazing staff and amazing products they sell. I highly recommend toms for anyone who has any animal. It’s definitely a one stop shop!Love you Tom and the crew❤️ Thanks for being the BEST

Love Tom's Pet Supply store!We come visit regularly for treats or dog food. The staff is always super nice, friendly ,and my dog Winter always awaits for a treat at the counter. (Thank you!) They also provide biweekly vaccinations via a mobile vet clinic. Super great service. I just got my dog vaccinated here today. Great neighborhood pet store! Very caring and knowledgeable.

Tom and his band of animal lovers are the absolute best. They are knowledgeable, and if they don’t know off hand they will find out!They also serve the community by hosting events, re-homing rescued pets, and will even help folks to install new enclosures. Which is so helpful cause they can get very complex! 20/10!

The woman at the counter was very helpful for my dog ranpo I was going to buy a harness for ranpo and the lady told me I could put it on ranpo first and it didn't fit so she helped me get a harness for ranpo and a leash I was very grateful

Many dead fish including fish dried out on the tops of tanks.😥 The owner is nice but he needs to change his fish breeder and make sure his fish are healthy and safe.

Tom's Pet Store is one of the best pet stores I've been to in a LONG time. I have a 3 year old dachshund and I buy only from Tom. Tom is always so sweet to Penny and treats her as if she is his own. He constantly has the store stocked with everything I need and more. His delivery services are also completely reliable and life saving for when I'm in a bind! Most importantly, his attitude and personality are always so positive no matter what he is enduring that day. Tom always has a smile on his face, cracking jokes, and goes above and beyond to help you find everything you need. He is a wonderful man and an unbelievable store owner.

The gentleman who helped me out was SO knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable and passed zero judgment when I shared my questions and concerns about my new puppy not eating enough.
