The ShopIs it a deli? Is it a restaurant? Is it both?Is the food great? Yes.The Shop had been on my radar and even though Ardsley is twenty minutes away, it feels like you have driven into different dimension, possibly The Shire? And it is also on the border of Dobb’s Ferry, which makes it even more confusing. I just looked at a map and it comes as no surprise that it also borders an area called Woodlands. 🌲🍄We visited The Shop during the day and I was a little confused because it was definitely shouting deli vibes even though the left side of the space is furnished beautifully… the chairs, tables and booths are so nice… and the deli side is nice too… very clean and organized, but definitely a deli. The daytime menu reads like a deli/diner… so I asked to see the night time menu. Not deli like. (Cannot wait to return for dinner.)How was the food?Excellent. You could taste that there is either a chef behind it or some seriously seasoned cooks. My husband and I shared a Reuben. I had a clam chowder. Our son ordered choc chip pancakes and our daughter a smoothie! EVERYTHING was delicious. I am not a pancake person for health reasons and because most take me back to Bisquick and high school home ec. I kept stealing bites from my kid’s pancakes. The clam chowder was bacon-forward and delicious. Silky. I just used this word to describe the amazing shrimp and corn chowder that I had at Go Fish. The difference between a cafeteria chowder and a cheffie chowder is flour. A well-executed chowder should not feel like hot clammy floury milk.Guys… Ardsley is happening. Many of you already know this so… forgive me for being late to the party. A few notable places are Umami sushi (real sushi bar featuring omakase), Neung Thai Kitchen (BYO booze) and very soon, hopefully, the famous Liebman’s deli! Please share your own favorites below.(p.s. I have been here ONCE… take everyone’s opinion with a grain of salt. Try it for yourself.) — at At The Shop.(From Westchester Foodies in FB a 100% community of cooks and eaters. 17k and growing.)

Had a wonderful, relaxed meal with 4 adults and 3 kids - fish and chips, fried chicken and spaghetti and meatballs from adult and kid menus were delicious. Server very patient and accommodating. Chocolate pudding cake was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Kids 6,8,10 were obviously welcome and their needs were met food-wise through a kids menu and by sharing adult food. They also enjoyed playing with an old fashioned rotary pay phone. Parking right at restaurant so no dangerous crossings, atmosphere felt relaxed and safe enough for older boys to go to bathroom on their own.

We stopped for breakfast and were really impressed by the quality, quantity of our food at a very affordable price.I had a sunflower seed flat bagel, with eggs and avocado and a hashbrown and it was delicious! The coffee was also very good. The service was awesome and we’ve been served very quickly.Very clean inside the dining area and restrooms. This is a place worth stopping in at anytime you're in the area.

Only ordered via Uber eats but this is the best delivery meal I’ve had in a long time and I went with “steakhouse” food and only afterwards found out this was a quick service/cafe kind of place. Seriously good steak!!!! Perfectly cooked. Excellent creamed spinach. Onion “rings” are onion crisps but that how my mom made them, so I like it. And someone added some mashed potatoes that were creamy and perfect (I didn’t order them, they were a bonus). Oh…and the “wedge” I got is almost a whole head of lettuce, plenty of bacon and blue cheese and dressing. If there was a waiter at my house pouring a bottle of red…this would be a 5-star at home meal! The pic??? It’s about 1/5th of the meal I received. I’ll be enjoying this for a few days. Which—I’m never about quantity, but it’s nice that the portions EXCEED the price.

Our waitress "Crystal" was so freaking awesome. She could give a class on customer service to workers in other places we've patronized. She was friendly, attentive, thorough and helpful. She made sure we were good as far as our food choices and fixed whatever choices we weren't too fond of. Crystal is exceptional at what she does (from my interaction with her - first time at The Shop Ardsley) and I would recommend going back. But the establishment as a whole is awesome. The owner is friendly and welcoming. My party of four enjoyed our Fried chicken, spinach dip, hummus, drinks (spicy margarita and old fashioned) were good too. I would recommend this place and would come back to this place in the future. Maybe next weekend! 💯👍

I want to like this place, I really do. The decor and comfort levels are great, and the menu is good. Today though has put me off going back anytime soon. The girl behind the counter was lovely, and I chose to order "Eggs your Way", which isn't as it describes. I ordered poached, soft eggs, a side of bacon and a toasted bagel. My food was dropped down pretty quickly, which was great, but the eggs were scrambled. When I asked about this I was told "we don't do poached" and that was that. The bagel arrived soon after, burnt. Annoying, off-putting, and like I said, I want to like this place, but this last experience is enough to ensure I won't be back.

My review has 2 parts: (1) right after ordering and (2) after finishing our meal. I’d like to add that I don’t often write reviews; let alone while I’m out, but I had to.The place and menu looks great, but after the service when ordering at the counter i almost wanted to cancel it. I ordered the “build your own sandwich” and saw the flagels on the menu so I asked the guy what flavors they were and he just shrugged his shoulders high. He may think it’s a silly question, but the flagels/bagels are not labeled, with multiple flavored flagels in one bin. Am I supposed to be an all-knowing psychic goddess? No. I’m just a girl, wanting to know if it was an onion or garlic flagel. If you work in customer service as well as the food industry, shrugging your shoulders is not the move. I’m not even mad that he doesn’t respond when anyone says Thank You to him. i’m just mad that he didn’t answer questions; If you can’t, have someone else answer it.French onion soup was great except my boyfriend said he didnt like the bread in the soup. He thinks its wheat (lol) but overall recommend it.Center panini St. sandwich on a flagel ok. Needs a sauce (i asked for hot sauce and then thought an aioli would perfect it.)Omelette was good but not worth it.

Ordered delivery through UberEats and the food is excellent arriving hot- the fried chicken remained crispy throughout dinner which is impressive since we’re 20 minutes away!Their fried chicken is tasty, so good my husband ate half my dinner. We also got mac & cheese, whipped mash, braised short rib and apple berry crisp- hands down the best dessert! The Shop Ardsley is now in our dinner rotation :)

Heard great things about The Shop, finally got a chance to have dinner here with family the other day. Nothing but great things to say!Decor has a modern yet cozy, relaxed vibe to it. The service was excellent. The food: everything was phenomenal! We shared a meatball appetizer and a chopped salad to start. For entrees we had a fried chicken burger, build a burger and friend chicken dinner w/ string beans. Very impressed with how great all the dishes came out. Hearty sized portions as well.Manager (maybe she was the owner?) was wonderful, even gave us some bagels to go home with. Very good, authentic bialys btw. It's hard to find places that make them well around the rivertowns, but they nailed it.I'll definitely be coming back regularly!

We stopped by for the first time and ordered 2 sandwiches to go. Nothing fancy. No sides or drinks. It took over a half hour for our order to be completed. While waiting, we heard others complain and be told that they were short-staffed in the kitchen. I have since seen responses to other reviews making the same and similar excuses. If you know you have a problem and cannot, or will not, hire more help, how about give the customer the courtesy of telling him that it will take a half hour and let the customer decide if it’s worth the wait. The sandwiches were just ok and definitely not worth the wait.

I ordered lunch here for pickup today (2 sandwiches and a veggie wrap) which said would take 35 mins. I arrived 10 mins early and upon my arrival saw my 2 sandwiches ready. One of the workers told me that the wrap wasn’t ready yet.I figured that I’m early hence I don’t mind waiting. Many other people ordered there and left before me. Strange?! Very! Especially as there were 3 workers there at the front. Was the place busy? No? Were they understaffed? No. At the time my food was supposed to be ready, one of the workers mentioned the food would be ready in 2 mins. 10 mins later my veggie wrap appeared. When I inquired about the delay, they mentioned the kitchen never got the ticket. This is where my frustration begins. I was there for a total of 25 mins waiting on one item. One would imagine that one of those 3 workers at the front would check on this manually after I sat waiting patiently. But that would be too easy…Instead he gave me 3 bagels and a passive “Sorry.”When I got home the first 2 sandwiches were cold and this added unpleasant experience. I’ve ordered from the Shop numerous times on Uber Eats which is how I heard about it. However, after today I’d rather go up the street to DeCiccos and pick up a sandwich. A place that actually understands customer service!

In all fairness they were getting slammed with lunch pickups and in-house dining, but some random stranger was wandering around with my cappuccino thinking it was his macchiato which he simply took from the counter where staff put orders , took off lid, was about to complain, and they then served it to me. Steak in Philly cheesesteak sandwich was decent, but kind of tough, on the whole very dry, and all the melted cheese was concentrated on one half of the sandwich. Weird.

Once again. CHEAP ON THE CREAM CHEESE SPREAD!!!$4.75 for what. DONE!!! I miss Stars BagelsI am fully aware of the gentleman making the Bagels and I am fully aware of the fact that he had been with Stars for years. If you truly read my review, you would have realized that my complaint was about the cheapness of you spread not about your employee from Stars or the Quality of his bagel.I always give 3 chances and this was your 3rd strike and as a result that was the reason for my review. Just to be clear, it wasn't worth driving all the way back. Quality control is obviously not in order for 3 strikes to take place. I wish you all the best.

I cannot exaggerate how much I loved my first experience at The Shop. The vibe and decor were great and the staff we kind, appreciative and helpful without hovering over you. And the food. OH THE FOOD! Started off with the hummus plate: it was better than in many Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. Then, my wife and I split the meal for two. The fried chicken was amazing. Juicy and crispy, not over-salted but by no means bland. Highly recommend the whipped potatoes and the mac & cheese as sides and the buffalo/hot sauce that came on the side with the bird was the perfect pairing. I would love that sauce on wings or a fried chicken sandwich. My only regret is we couldn't try more of the menu, but there's always next time!

The shop has become our go to place for a few months. The food is delicious, so fresh, and the portions are very generous. The fried chicken and the rotisserie chicken are our favorites. The burgers are amazing. It is so great to have a local restaurant that is so wonderfully consistent every time we pick up. Keep up the great work.

Love the food but the service is too inconsistent to make it a stop when we need something quick.Holding for over 10 mins on the phone and internet orders not being started when we come in have more or less killed this spot for us.

Love The Shop at Ardsley! The food is ALWAYS so good! Whatever they cook, they do it right and it's fresh! Dinner for delish Fried Chicken, Burgers, Fries & Philly Cheese Steak. Breakfast for eggs, bagels, bacon & potatoes! Looking forward to trying all their sandwiches and EVERYTHING on their very appealing menu! The service is lovely!

The bagels are way too salty - way more than all of the other bagel places I've gone to all my life in NYC and suburbs. While this place was beautifully renovated after ownership changed hands, and everything else seems fine, the bagel recipe obviously remained the same. The reason my family stopped going there years ago is because the bagel dough is so salty that it's hard to enjoy. If you get anything else on it that contains salt (butter, bacon, everything topping, etc.), it's so salty that it's just not enjoyable. And if you get a sweet option, like cinnamon raisin, the saltiness ruins it. We've tried them a few times over the years hoping it would get better, or that it was just a bad batch, but we now just go elsewhere. Willing to give you guys another try if you fix the bagel recipe!

Went to The Shop for dinner and it was wonderful! We got fried chicken and sides (Mac and cheese, green beans, creamed spinach) and for dessert, warm apple pie and blackout cake with ice cream. All the food was delicious, and the service was terrific. Thanks for a lovely meal!

Let me tell you. Prices are over board 40 dollars for 2 sandwiches and 2 waters. Paper wrapping all over my Ruben sandwich. Not only that I waited 50 minutes. Ordered a drink and never got it. Please go to other local delis before this one. I’m doing you a favor.

Great fresh hot Bagel & lox cream cheese spread.. Wow!The egg was not cooked thoroughly...egg white was running. I like it over light egg yolk, somewhat cooked & egg whites not running! Thanks so much!
