I am completely in love, Jenna thank you for picking the perfect dog for me and my kids, I’ve known you for 20 years and have never met someone who knows dogs like you. For all those reading the scam reviews, I got this beautiful baby for way less then 3,000$ even though that’s what she is minimally worth. I tried adopting for almost six months and wait lists are INSANE. I’m so grateful. FINALLY!! Xoxo

Great experience! All of the staff were very nice, were very helpful and knew about the puppies personalities. We have another dog at home she’s an alpha female (mini Aussie). We were a little nervous bringing in a new puppy. One of the girls had great advice when we were expressing our concerns about this. We had originally had our eyes on a mini aussie they had and saw online but she was sick so they had her in the back but the lady was nice enough to hold her so we could see her in person. We also had our eyes on the aussiepoo. Really ended up liking him and his passive yet bubbly personality. We decided he would be a great fit. He’s been with us for almost a month now. Beautiful and loving little guy. Thank you puppy experience!

Not sure why my first review got deleted, but this place is despicable!They are selling puppies sourced from puppy mills where dogs who spend their whole lives in tiny cages are bred over and over for profit until they can no longer do so and then they are thrown away like garbage.WAKE UP!!! I can’t wait until it closes down! If you want a purebred puppy, go to a reputable breeder or rescue.Yes, this might mean you have to drive off Long Island to find the dog you want or wait. It might be inconvenient, but not so much so that you should compromise ethically or risk buying a defective or sick puppy.Crazy that they think puppies get sick from people touching them. It’s not from being touched, it’s from stress and being transported across country with hundreds of other dogs while they are too young and raised in environments where they are eating and laying in their own feces.

So me and my cousin came to look around and try to adopt the dog and the people that helped us in the dog shelter area were amazing, they were so nice to talk to, and then when I went up to the main office to get an application, this lady named Judy (the one that looks like a little boy and is mad old) opened the door and was so rude at the start, I asked if I could speak to one of the other workers and she ignores me and says you have to be 25 to adopt a dog. When the people In the dog area said you have to be 21 and she keeps saying no and then slammed the door in my face she was treating us like little kids when she doesn’t even know how old we are, and then when we were leaving she stuck up the middle finger at us through the windows like I can clearly see you Judy. You should be fired !!! ASAP(SO UNPROFESSIONAL)

I bought a 5000 dollar puppy from this place and it was acting kind of weird but I am a first time or was a first time owner of a dog. So I thought it was just puppy things. But not even an hour after got home it started attacking my toddler and she is in the hospital with 11 stitches. The puppies here are rabid and have rabies my daughter has rabies now I don’t know if she’s gonna live. I want a refund

going on 2 yrs now with our mini doxie "Biscuit". We still are very happy with him. He is very healthy and John @ Puppy Experience was a pleasure to do business with. The place is clean and friendly and we will definitely go there again for another puppy in the future! = )

I had I very pleasant experience with this place, I went home with a mini golden doddle. She was very sweet when we saw her at the store. Unfortunately she got very motion sick and didn’t get the chance to warm up to our home when she got there, she seemed very shy, sad and frightened. So my family and I decided to return her after the 24 hour play date. My family had a very bad experience with a previous frightened dog years ago resulting in the dog being put down and we couldn’t take the risk again. But that isn’t the company’s fault the worker was very kind and very helpful and informative. I hope someone read this and comes visit this dog because she is very sweet and deserve a safe and happy home! She is a healthy dog btw we went to see the vet earlier this morning just to make sure she was ok! Negative in parvovirus and had no internal parasites, healthy weight good teeth etc.

Had a great experience here. They kept all the puppies safe while allowing us to see the ones we were interested in. Very knowledgeable and serious about each pup! We ended up getting a dogue de bordeaux and he has been wonderful :) about 7 months old now and we adore him! Thank you ❣️

I got my baby Bella around March and it took her some time to get out of her shell but now she’s absolutely my sweet girl and she loves her Lamb (has a attitude problem in the morning 🙄) and she is also becoming a certified therapy dog so just like you helped me find my sweet baby we will be giving joy to other people as well thank you Jenna for my sweet girl

Words cannot describe the amazing experience my wife and I had here buying our first puppy!We were a bit nervous with the reviews but decided to give it a shot and super glad we did! Everyone was very friendly throughout the whole process. Even after taking our pup home, the staff was available for help with training.When we were there we noticed a lot of people walking into the store despite the many signs on the doors that say “APPOINTMENT ONLY” as well as on the website. From what I can tell, the staff dismissed whoever walked in professionally. I think there are people on here that take it personally that they didn’t read and now can’t play with the puppies.Charlie, our happy now 6 month old Havanese has had a clean bill of health since the day we took him home. He sleeps the whole night, has lots of energy, and is a happy healthy puppy!!

Like others have mentioned in these reviews, as soon as we walked into the store we were encouraged to read the rules before opening another gate to proceed. They are simple, do not touch the puppies in the front half of the store because they are the youngest and most susceptible to getting sick. The pups in the rear of the store can be pet as much as you want provided you sanitize your hands between each different pup. Yes, it's difficult at times to not abide by the rules, especially with the younger puppies, and we were even politely reminded a few times. The fact that Jenna and everyone else who works here are so diligent in making sure the rules are followed shows that they care about the health and well being of the animals.My wife and I stopped in on our way to Southold for the weekend and the first thing we noticed was how almost all of the puppies were so energetic and happy. We took two of them into the play area and then left to avoid the impulse puppy purchase. When we returned the next day on our way home, Jenna and the staff could not have been more helpful in providing information on the lab we were considering as well as how he might or might not get along with the current older dog we already had.It was a long 3 1/2 hour drive home, but Maverick - named after an intense name debate which included the likes of Dusty, Nimbus and Chandler Bing (don't ask haha) - arrived home and has been adored ever since.If you're looking for a puppy, consider that many of these reviews are from people who simply view the store as a petting zoo. I get it, puppies are cute, it's tough to not touch... Yet as someone who just purchased one of those younger pups in the front of the store, I'm glad the rules are in place as we now have a happy, healthy and immensely energetic labrador retriever pup.

We just picked up our second cockapoo puppy from The Puppy Experience (so big brother has a sibling - he is 8 years and no issues, healthy, happy dog). Thank You Melissa & Staff for making this so easy for us. You obviously work hard and love what you do as the puppies are healthy, happy, and well taken care of. The hardest part for us was selecting one - luckily she chose us.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I went to The Puppy Experience yesterday to look at a female golden retriever puppy. I fell in love with her and wanted to take her home. However, they want $3000.00 for her. Outrageous! And I investigated where they told me she came from ( Creek Side kennels in Kansas). They are listed on the "Horrible Hundred " puppy mills. In addition to that, the place was crammed with puppies. All in small confined spaces. No bedding. Just standing on wire. No water. I don't know how they are still in operation. I thought the laws had changed in New York. Apparently not. I wanted to buy her, just to get her out of there. But who knows what could be wrong with her down the road.The place should be shut down. For good.

I can’t say how wonderful MELISSA was with me, made my appointment and saw numerous puppies! As I was leaving another family was looking, there was 1 pup I hadn’t looked at, Melissa brought him outside into the play area for me! Well when I found out his name was Finnegan, I already have a Finnegan Bernedoodle. But he was exactly what I was looking for. I went home and thought about the little Havanese puppy named Finnegan. I called Melissa that same day and said I would pick him up Wednesday! BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! Our new FLYNN is now a joy to the whole family! Melissa is the bomb over at THE PUPPY EXPERIENCE she is the ALPHA over the whole place, she knows all the names of the pups and they love her!!!It was chaos with all the barking and she told them all to be quiet ~ then silence! How can 1 woman handle 30-40 puppies.can!!! I was so impressed and happy with my experience, I called the manager Jenna and had a lovely conversation with her, I told her Flynn is the best and Melissa is FANTASTIC! She explained that people sometimes think Melissa is abrupt, she has to be, she has many beautiful puppies to care for!!!I give THE PUPPY EXPERIENCE a grade of 1000%. They take care of their pups like the babies they are! Can’t say enough about MELISSA & JENNA, they do excellent work!You will not be disappointed, their knowledge is AMAZING! They would have received 5 Stars until they did the “Go To Our Vet” for the best deals.We Love our Puppy, the staff was very pleasant.But I just don’t understand why I had to pay so much at the OVERPRICED VET that they insisted we go to.1st of all I thought we were covered for the first visit. (maybe I misunderstood?) because I did know that we were responsible for a few things which we had to sign an agreement because yes the puppy did need some teeth taken care of. We agreed to take her as is and we’ll assume to cost.But when we went to the Vet that was a long distance away, we had to dish out this ridiculous amount and then they wanted us to come back and give them Close to $2000 to do the work that we needed to do.We went to a local very reputable Vet and had it done for less then $300.And I’m certain that Puppy Experience does this all of the time, so BUYER BEWARE! (Kick Back?)But I will tell you they do have a wonderful selection of puppies and the staff really takes good care of them.Would I recommend them? YES, and I have, we bought 2 puppies from them and they are both Amazing dogs, but I also did tell the people I recommend: do not fall for their Vet BS, because I am sorry to say it was.

I must say that we had a great experience at The Puppy Experience. The staff really helped us. They are extremely open, kind and knowledgeable people, who most importantly, really seem to love and care about their puppies. They want to see them happy and in a good home. I would recommend this place over and over again.

Fantastic. We got our Golden Retriever here 6 months ago. The dog is in perfect health, they had all the AKC paperwork from the breeder confirming the dog is a pure breed. Staff was super nice and the process was very easy. After trying for months to rescue dogs from shelters to no avail and dealing with obnoxious admins it was a pleasure to come here for our puppy. Thanks guys!

We had a very good experience here.You need to understand that pet adoptions are way up and they want to protect the dogs, themselves and their customers. You can't just go in and expect to spend some time playing with the dogs. It's not a petting zoo.We followed their covid-19 rules and made an appointment to see the dogs. They were very helpful and patient and I felt zero pressure to get a dog. They made sure we saw dogs that matched our description. We wanted to get two dogs. We were set on one and they helped us find a dog that paired well. It worked and they are now best buds. The shop is conscientious on pet health and they could not release the dogs for a week. They kept them together until we were able to pick them up.They have also been helpful post sale. We've asked for guidance and recommendations and their advice was very helpful and cheerfully given.I didn't feel any pressure to use their Vet. I feel like they truly care for the dogs.

My fiance and I were looking for a puppy since she recently lost hers; we were really heartbroken but we figured we would take a look. We met Jenna the first day we went looking. She was really helpful and knowledgeable with the breed and other breeds we were asking about. We met a beautiful puppy and decided to bring him home. Rocky, our newest addition to our family was very well taken care of. He had all of his shots, rabies shot, healthy skin and fur and no issues whatsoever. We even received a free office visit to several different veterinarians on Long Island. The whole process of getting Rocky was great. He is so happy to be a part of our family. We can't wait to bring him back and visit Jenna. She is such a sweet young lady and really was patient and helpful in the entire process with him. Thank you for everything.

Awful place that overcharges for puppies. We made an appointment. Then on that date, drove three hours to get there, to then find that they sold the puppy we were interested in getting. What infuriated me most was the careless attitude in response to my shock and frustration.

Horrible people and very unhealthy & unhappy pups! The pups in the glass storefront say it all! This place is absolutely miserable! The short rainbow hair creature at the front pounced on my family the moment we opened the door and rudely told us we were not welcome and they were by appointment only. How about you put a sign up roadside rather than a little tiny message taped to the side door of the building?! Maybe keep the door locked?! Then this maniac suggests we take a card to make an appointment and come back! Yea right! Wouldn't spend a penny in this place! Should be shut down!

I recently just bought my puppy from the puppy experience, I honestly don’t understand why they have such negative reviews! From my initial phone call to inquire about the puppy I was interested in. All the way through to picking up the puppy, I was completely happy with the service we received. More than happy honestly, the girls I spoke with on the phone are 100% honest with you. They tell you the honest truth about things you may not want to hear & I truly respect that. Once we brought our puppy home I had to make several calls to them and they were nothing but kind in helping me with my questions. I would go here again in a heart beat! Plus my puppy is really friggen cute!

I purchased a beautiful puppy that very quickly started having joint problems. We loved this puppy and tried our best to keep him going. We spent $6,000 at 6 months to have bilateral elbow surgery. Unfortunately at 2 years old we had to put him down as his hip joints disintegrated. I asked the Puppy Experience to reimburse me only for the purchase price of the dog and they refused. They also showed no interest in what dog I had purchased so they could discontinue getting puppies from this particular breeder. I would very strongly advise against buying a puppy at this puppy store.

Excellent staff and clean store.. It did not smell like 70 puppies were in the building. We got a beautiful male Boxer last weekend. To say the staff cares about the animals in there care would be an understatement. They took great pride in the care they offered and how they interacted with the all the animals while we where there. The info they provided with Or Boxer including 5 generations of linage and AKC cert was top knotch.Thank you from the whole family.
