Would give a 0 if I was allowed. Great local business threatening to call the cops on community members searching for the terrified dog in horrible weather. Had no decency to even acknowledge or offer assistance first interaction was unpleasant and rude. Don’t visit there are plenty of other local places with better service, atmosphere and ice cream :)

They rotate their soft serve flavors, so it's always a surprise what they have, but you can't go wrong with any of them. They also have a great variety of hard ice cream flavors (some homemade too!)Cash only, but worth the scenic drive for its warming staff, generous portions, delicious flavors and affordable prices. 4 cones WITH toppings = $15My favorite ice cream place to visit when I'm back upstate.

This is a great place to stop with family and friends. Staff and owner are super friendly, and the ice cream is delicious. The parking lot is ample and easy to get in and out of. Convenient hours. They have special soft serve flavors daily, which is nice.

This is a great place to stop for a quick ice cream. There is a wide range of options from soft serve to serbet. The staff are pretty quick, so even though the line may be long, you will not have to wait long to get your treat.

On Tuesday May 16th the evening manager was rude to me. I asked for an ice cream cone with soft vanilla and a scoop of toasted coconut. She told me “we don’t do that here” after that I offered to pay extra and she rudely told me I can order stuff the way they make it or take my business elsewhere. Pretty simple request, a little kindness goes a long way, could have turned me down in a nicer manner if she didn’t want my business. I loved this place when I was a kid, but with staff like that I won’t be going back.

I went here with my daughter on her birthday, and it really is a shell of what it once was. It doesn’t feel like anything like it was before, the ice cream tastes different. I’ll go to Summers best from now on, what a shame, on top of it there sign that says they won’t serve, drunk or obnoxious people. Turning away business just isn’t really a good look.

I love that there is a different flavor of the day each day! The sign with the daily flavor is big so you can see it from the road in the way by. Creamy and delicious, never disappointed!

My husband and I stopped in a couple of days ago. The staff was so friendly I new there had to be new owners!The strawberry soft serve was delicious. The small cone was huge. We were very pleased with our experience. I am also to happy see that they now offer hard ice cream.

Best soft serve in the entire area. Creamy and full of flavor. I had red raspberry and it actually had raspberry taste. We drive about 20 miles to get there, worth the trip. Yum

A very nice & clean facility! Attractive & great parking! They have 3 windows for service and a large variety of ice cream treats! The staff is awesome! Nice & pleasant & helpful and do a great job of keeping the place clean and organized! Reasonable prices and quality ice cream! We will definitely return on our way to camp!!

Amazing ice cream. Very important to note... CASH ONLY! There's a gas station across the street if you need an ATM (no idea if they offer cash back on purchases). The next important thing to note... they sell a variety of flavors for everything. They've got frozen yogurt, ice cream sandwiches, banana splits, sundaes, shakes, low fat, no fat, "blizzards", different types of cones, etc. It's important to note that while they have a flavor of the day every day, you can get any shake flavor on any day. The flavors of the day are as follows... Monday is banana, Tues is coffee, Wed is orange-pineapple, Thur is pistachio, and Fri is lemon. The weekend flavors rotate: Black raspberry, red raspberry, and strawberry. The frozen yogurt flavors also change. If it's a holiday on Mon, then the weekend flavor carries over.Their ice cream is amazing, they are cheap, and the portions are large. It's always worth a stop, especially if you're just passing through.Update 2023:Nothing much has changed. They have added hard ice cream as well as additional twist options for the soft, & a little wider selection of other offerings. Additional seating was added more recently, which is a huge plus. If you have kids that love watching cars...they can watch all sorts of vehicles go "around and around" the traffic circle!

I ordered a flurry and got this cup full of chopped up hard ice cream with a dollop of soft serve on top. If I want hard ice cream in a cup I would have ordered it. To top it off....everything was covered in sand and grit by the time we got in the car. BAD, BAD BAD

I'm used to Dairy Frost having the best ice cream of anybody by far. This time it was perfectly average. What I got on this visit just isn't worth it. I hope it goes back to the quality I'm used to, though I suppose eating less ice cream is good too.

Pretty generic when it comes to an ice cream place but nothing beats the great service and the family friendly atmosphere. I've been going since I was a kid and I honestly would choose it over any home made ice cream place it's sentimental and the guy that runs the place is sweet as could be, but careful! the sizes are WAY bigger than you will expect! I can't even finish a small size cone now that I'm an adult! they also have a beautiful gazebo to sit and eat ice cream along with the fact they keep the lawn mowed and flowers planted!

1st time I was disappointed at Dairy FrostI ordered a cherry slush and took a sip.Have you ever dipped a lemon in a packet of cherry Kool-ade (the one with no sugar)?Well that was my experience. I even had my kids try a sip to make sure it wasn't just me. Everyone had my same reaction. I went to the employee and explained something was wrong and I would like a replacement. That's when the owner came over and asked what was wrong. I explained and she replied I would be charged to get something else because there was nothing wrong with it. I literally just paid for something that was inedible and had to throw away! I explained that and she got really nasty and then turned to her employee and said give her whatever the hell she wants. I was so shocked... I refused to get anything.I have worked in culinary & hospitality since 2007 and never have I seen such an unwarranted reaction from an establishments owner.Had she said- "I'm sorry ma'am but our slushy flavors are the sour kind. We should have specified it on the sign."- I would have said no problem and paid for something new.Or if she said- "I'm so sorry. There must be something wrong with the syrup. Let me replace that."- I would have accepted that.However, neither event happened and the rumors I have heard about the unprofessionalism (that I always brushed off) are true.Let me establish that this was not from one of the teenage employees... they have always been awesome workers. The needed attitude adjustment and ability to listen to the customers is the owners issue.

The ice cream they have is good, however, there's very limited selection here, usually with only one flavor of ice cream being offered in addition to the traditional vanilla, chocolate and twist. I don't trust their shakes, though. I got a raspberry shake one time and it tasted like Styrofoam.

If it wasn't for our 2 young kids we would have left immediately. Seriously though, how rude can someone be?! You'll find out the answer at Dairy Frost!

The creamiest, most consistent quality soft serve ice cream in the greater capital District. I drive over 30 minutes, especially on Tuesdays to get coffee flavor of the day!It is certainly the benchmark to compare any other softserve seasonal experience.My only reservation is they close a little early for my taste.

Customer service sucks, told me I'd have to pay for another sundae when mine was made wrong, ice cream wasn't worth it either, not much flavor. 3 other ice cream places near by, go to them.
